The NA boxart is great, much better than just letters, but my question is, how different is these in comparation with DQ IX, I say both are turn based RPG's, and both ae from square enix, and in both you use 4 different characters, so I already have DQ IX, and im not sure how different or how the same will be these game in comparation to DQ IX. DQ IX is great, but I don't want like the same experience "again", that why I normaly skip sequels, is just... Wich is the main difference between the both games?

Final fantasy is nothing like dragon quest. Don't be fooled by the looks. It will be a whole different experience believe me. I have dragon quest 9 and will pick this up to. Golden sun will also be a whole different experience and my most anticipated RPG this year! Etrain odyssey is also a whole different game that I just picked up so rpgs for the DS are a plenty right now. Enjoy what you can might not be any good rpgs for the DS or 3 DS for a long while now!

So there are no similarities between the 2 games, right? But nobody answered my qustion. So can anyone tell me, wich is the main difference between DQ IX and FF: T4HOL, or just between the FF and DQ games?

One of the differences is you will not see the enemies on screen. All or most are random. Final fantasy usually tells a great story. All the characters will have there own story. Not sure if this one is going to have a job class or not but most of them do. It means your warriors might be able to cast cure spells. And with most ff your get these awesome summon spells to call into battles. Usually giant monsters to help wipe out the enemies. Thats just to name a few!

Ok, it looks very nice, I got another question, can you like in DQ IX choose your 4 charcters, or change their class, like change a warrior for a priest, and well make your charcters, or the 4 guys are how they are each with they unique history and unique class?

This version seems a lot different from the normal final fantasy. Normal I would say yes but I think you will only have these 4 players. FF does not have your normal character classes. At least in the past games that is!

Like Tech said, there are no normal classes in 4 Heroes of Light. The equipment of your characters determines what skills they learn, if I'm following the trailer correctly.

Kind of, it's pretty much a job system except each job gets a spiffy hat.

When I first saw this game, I admit that I didn't care for the graphics. I didn't care for the crown system either.

Just recently, I was looking at some videos and reading about it and it looks & sounds great. The graphics really grew on me the more I saw videos on them. They are actually quite detailed and it looks like the game will be fun to explore! Also, the crown system looks more complex than I thought it was going to be (lots of jobs too!). And the battle system looks fun & strategic. So does the item system.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that yesterday I put the game on reserve! I'm looking forward to it quite a bit. October 5th right?

I got the game today! Its great so far. I'm not that far into it, but I really like the battle system. There is a bit stragedy to it and you can really get your hat handed to you in boss & tougher random battles if you don't think carefully about what to do next. Sometimes, you'll need to boost your AP up on a couple of people and let others attack. Also, you have to be careful with your items to since you can only have 15 items on each character. And there's no overall inventory system. Just placing items in each of the character's pockets. Its tricky, but its fun imo. I'm glad Gems are stored seperatly though. You have to keep collecting gems and saving them so that you can upgrade your crowns & weapons (haven't got to updgrade weapons yet). I only have one Crown so far myself.

FF4Heroes has a very detailed storybook look. I like the graphics a lot.

The game does have an interesting story so far, but its rather simple story because the game is focused more gameplay over story. Still, I do like the story & can't wait to find out more about the current mystery taking place in the game.

Anyway, from what I've played so far, I highly recommend the game if you like more stragetic role playing games. Its no Final Fantasy Tactics, but its a RPG where you do have to think a bit more about what your carrying around & how you handle certain battles. Plus, its just a fun rpg. Can't wait to play more!
