Yeah, clear would have been much less distracting, or just put both their bloody feet on the ground so we don't have to look at these ugly support structures at all. I hope they figure this out now while they're making their fancy prototypes for the future sets of figures.

For some reason I imagine they would make some amiibo specific games that can use any and all of them regardless of where they originate from and it was some kind of RPG dungeon crawler or party game like Dokapon Kingdom.

At first they look great, I was going to buy a bunch of them, but now they look no more better then an Mcdonald toy.
I expected better from Nintendo but they are known for bad grapix, even on their toys.
Not a fan of Skylanders but they make some really detail NFC, and they don't make the money Nintendo makes, so they shouldn't have an excuse to way their Amiibo line look like it was made in a art class by 6 year olds.
So, who here thinks there will be future games that will require the amiibo to play? An amiibo based game.
I think Nintendo will eventually create a Infinity/Skylanders esque game. However I think it will run alongside the current amiibo usage for multiple games. There is a market for a dedicated toys to life game and I'm sure Nintendo is aware of that, however when you are so late in the game they can't just show up and say "here is Nintendo Skylanders". By using multiple game functionality, people can ease into it slowly, and those that dont like skylanders/infinity are still a viable market.
Also I'm not upset with the final product of the amiibo. Saw some pics with better lighting and while they dont look like the prototype (keyword!) they still look very nice for the price.

I really hope you're right. They really need to have a central fun hub for all the amiibo's. If not, it's just money they're throwing away with a too-creative idea.
