They were. I remember back in 2010 EA talking about Nintendo's new online system. Nintendo Network (as you can see) first launched for Mario Kart 7- albeit it's in it's early stage right now.

I'm hoping they just use Club Nintendo accounts since those are tied to Wii, DSi and 3DS anyhow.

Since they're all linked, I just hope that at some point we can play games from the Wii Shop, or Wii U eShop, on the 3DS. It probably won't happen, but it would be nice.

As for the topic in hand, I'm hoping for at least one new game reveal, it probably won't happen but Nintendo have surprised us before. Maybe DLC for one of their games? Localization for Monster Hunter, or Fire Emblem? Gameplay footage of LMDM, NSMB2, PMSS? They could literally do anything with it, I just hope it's something good.

To be honest, I think I'm satisfied with NSMB2, Luigi's Mansion DM, and Paper Mario SS for this year. Zelda 3DS for holiday next year along with Kirby for the 3DS line up to be well spread out would be better, IMO.

If anything, I want to hear TWO (and only these two) things. I would like some kind of information about Monster Hunter and I would also like MORE information about NSMB2. Especially about the coin thing. I mean really...that doesn't seem challenging. AT ALL.
