*Messaging on the Friend List. *Sharing 3D photos with friends. *The ability to buy and send software as a gift to friends through the eShop, and a system that warns you if they already have it so you don't waste your money. *Folders on the Home Menu, so we can arrange software into our own catergories and not have EVERYTHING displayed at once. *A calendar we can make notes on and use to arrange gaming events with friends. *Pictochat. *m.youtube.com compatibility.
Any kind of other applications like on iOS since there really aren't any games to play.
Hmm... You join seven days ago and your last five posts (and the only posts of yours I have seen) have been quite negative towards the 3DS, without support for your opinion. If you're only going to post hate towards Nintendo, at least back it up with legitimate reasons.

The fact that there's so little software worth a purchase is a pretty legitimate reason on its own
New name, same game.

As far as chat, I'd even settle for a few more characters in my status message, so that I can actually say what I'm doing or playing or thinking in a coherent way, and the ability to send people email-like messages. The Wii even had that last one. Why doesn't the 3DS, since it's pretty much a step forward in almost every other way? If it truly is because of the protection of children, isn't that what those parental controls are for? If a parent is concerned about their child interacting with strangers, they will take measures to prevent it, otherwise it's just frustratingly archaic and restrictive for adults and teens to look at an essentially useless friendlist all the time and think, "This would be cool if..."
I totally agree with you. Fingers crossed they address this with a future update.
Ditto.
Nintendo needs to stop acting in part for the parents. Plenty of kids have an Xbox, PS3, or a PC; none of those consoles are doing anything more than having parental controls available. Not like Nintendo is saving the entire population of children from idiots who scream and cuss during gaming.
Wow, I haven't checked this thread in awhile, I love the ideas all you guys said! Hopefully Nintendo is listening.
I can't agree enough about the much needed improvement on friend communication.
Nintendo has already updated the 3DS firmware more than the DSi's lifespan. Updates are always better so consumers can be happier with the experiences.

A lot of people have already said things that are a definite must for me, like a messaging system, video recording/video chat like PictoChat but with video obviously, improved audio where music is concerned, I've got a few ideas myself that I don't think anyone has mentioned yet; The browser definitely needs support plug-ins, a good handful because I hate how just because it's a game system it's immediately put off about them not being supported by the hardware and kinda make ita modified browser instead because of that factor; It doesn't make much sense. Maybe Flash is the best way to go with this, though, because Android tablets support it now which makes things slightly less complicated. Or how about Nintendo CH for the 3DS, or perhaps a Check Mii Out CH in addition to this? This last 1 may be a bit tricky, but I believe I saw a couple of posts bringing up the friend codes factor. What if we had an additional option to add friends via the very same QR codes that they allow us to make for our Miis and scan others, provided the option to tack your friend code onto your preferred/main Mii could be made in addition? In this sense for everyone using these forums a simple QR code scan would allow us to add friends that much easier, and at the same time add their Mii info as well.
