Topic: Paper Mario 3DS

Well I second Super Paper Mario. It was actually one of the games I got with my Wii and it's pretty fantastic IMO. I really hope that Sticker Star turns out well because I am looking forward to playing it this fall but I have a feeling it won't disappoint.

The latest Nintendo Power shed some more light on the story.

On the night of the Sticker Fest, an annual celebration in the Mushroom Kingdom where the people gather to watch the Sticker Comet, it is said that the comet can grant a wish. Bowser disrupts the festival with his army, wanting the comet's wish-granting power for himself. He lunges at the Sticker Comet, but when he collides with it, it bursts into pieces, causing the pieces to scatter all over the Mushroom Kingdom. A crown sticker lands on Bowser's head, turning him into a sparkling sticker and making him very powerful. In this strong state, Bowser kidnaps Princess Peach and runs away, prompting Mario to chase him. He meets with Kersti, the flying crown who was the care-taker of the Royal Stickers, and together they embark on their journey to find the Royal Stickers and the pieces of the comet to defeat Bowser and save Peach.

It sounds like Super Mario Galaxy meets the first Paper Mario.

Considering this is Paper Mario we're talking about, I'm sure some other villain will come into play later on. It may start with Bowser as the villain, but something might happen that introduces another threat. Unless maybe they wanted to break that tradition and actually make Bowser the bad guy the whole time.

Well the first game had Bowser as the main villain, maybe they're going to do that again. Though I am hoping that there's something more to it, like the sticker crown Bowser has is like...Majora's Mask-ish or whatever. xD

I forgot about the original having Bowser as the main villain, I only remember Thousand Year Door and Super Paper Mario having other villains. Not to mention the Mario and Luigi games have done a similar thing regarding the villains.

@Erica_Hartmann, that Majora's Mask esque sticker crown theory might not be too far off! I can easily see the crown like taking on a mind of its own and becoming the real bad guy. I don't know.

Bowser Jr is on the cover so maybe he comes into play turning the story. Which is weird because he has never made an appearance in Paper Mario
