Most of TTYD is amazing but the parts with the overuse of backtracking are just...bad. Like even if you like Metroid backtracking (which I do) it's baaad backtracking.
...Only real backtracking I remember of is the beginning of Chapter...7? (the moon chapter, lol) It was unnecessary, but yeah...only one I can think of.
It's basically half of chapter 4 and a little bit of chapter 5.

I actually played that part (chapter 7) a few weeks ago (for the first time) and that was one of the most unpleasant gaming experiences ever! You basically had to go to every chapter, and then the person you were looking for was WHERE YOU STARTED!!!!!

Well I second Super Paper Mario. It was actually one of the games I got with my Wii and it's pretty fantastic IMO. I really hope that Sticker Star turns out well because I am looking forward to playing it this fall but I have a feeling it won't disappoint.

Considering this is Paper Mario we're talking about, I'm sure some other villain will come into play later on. It may start with Bowser as the villain, but something might happen that introduces another threat. Unless maybe they wanted to break that tradition and actually make Bowser the bad guy the whole time.
Well the first game had Bowser as the main villain, maybe they're going to do that again. Though I am hoping that there's something more to it, like the sticker crown Bowser has is like...Majora's Mask-ish or whatever. xD

I forgot about the original having Bowser as the main villain, I only remember Thousand Year Door and Super Paper Mario having other villains. Not to mention the Mario and Luigi games have done a similar thing regarding the villains.
@Erica_Hartmann, that Majora's Mask esque sticker crown theory might not be too far off! I can easily see the crown like taking on a mind of its own and becoming the real bad guy. I don't know.
