I came across this article this morning with beautiful images of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time 3D and it's simply beautiful!

I'm finding this game way too distracting. I would much rather be playing it right now rather than working!

I think the new Link look resembles the art work that was shown when OoT was announcedhttp://www.videogamesblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/l...

Personally, I am not buying this.I tried the VC Ocarina, and as a kid that grew up with a GBA and gamecube, it really does NOT age well at all.I got to the Future, but I just couldnt get into it, and I am a pretty big zelda fan. No offense.

It hasn't aged well because of the 'below 30' frame rate. OOT 3D will most likely at least be pushing 30fps. For someone like me who kind of missed out on OOT, I'll definitly be getting it on the 3DS.
By the way just wondering what your thoughts on the original Zelda and Zelda II are? Those 2 have aged perfectly, big suprise considering there's no BS frametate problems to deal with...Although the original Zelda is a total guessing game for the most part when placing Bombs I grew up with those 2 games on the Nes, and while their music was embedded in my head and I absolutely adored the first dungeon in LOZ, I was never in love with either of the two...Those types of games just weren't my cup of tea when I was 5 or 6 years old. I was more of a Mario and Mega Man kind of guy. But ALLTP and LA opened my eyes into Zelda greatness hehe.

Despite the lower framerate, i still enjoy Ocarina more than newer Zeldas. After playing it a while, you just forget about the framerate. In my honest opinion, it have aged well.

I may pick this game up, since the stone of agony is pretty much required to find some holes (unless you want to bomb all of hyrule field). I know basically where they are, but I like the rumble to narrow it down. I do have the GCN collectors edition with Master Quest, but I'd imagine that won't play on the Wii2. This is probably going to be the best version of the game.
I'd prefer the VC version, since it has rumble. Unless I actually get around to getting an N64, this makes a lot of sense.

The original OoT marks the last time the Zelda fandumb has ever been happy with anything, so screw them. Every new Zelda release is the worst thing ever for some ridiculous, pedantic, nit picky reason until the next Zelda release, then it was the best thing ever and this new one is the worst thing ever.

First day buy for me! This is one of the best games of all time! =D
I like how most of the HUD is on the bottom screen now, though they should put all of it down there, so we can have just amazing 3D action on the top.

@AviatorOnce you see it, you can never un-see it.@ByDarwinsBeard200% correct. I'm sick and tired of hearing "TP was a stupid OoT clone!" this, and "They ruined the Zelda formula in WW!" that. The Zelda fanbase is so annoying that they could compete with finding empty cartons of milk in the fridge.

i like when people complain about a remake because the original hasn't aged well.... isn't that part of the point of remaking it?

It looks better but it still looks dated. The character/creature models are fantastic, but the environmental textures are blurry and the landscapes look really barren. Honestly, besides the awesome new Link, it looks only slightly better than the N64 game. It's certainly not a showpiece for the 3DS's graphical capabilities right now.

I disagree I got OOT on the VC and my first conosle was a GBA and a ps2. I loved better than Twilight princess and I thought it was the best game of all time.

i think both the n64 zeldas are timeless, although that can be said of majora's mask a little more easily than ocarina of time. people complaining about textures or polygons are missing the point; technical aspects age, art style doesn't. the VC versions have pumped up the resolution and made them look better than ever, and that should be good enough for anybody. if not, twilight princess is right there...
i'm wondering whether this is a remake from scratch or a tweak of the original programming, similar to perfect dark on xbla. i'm leaning towards the latter, since knowing what the 3DS is capable of they probably wouldn't have wound up with something this faithful to the original if they were starting from scratch. i think it looks great either way, like taking the clarity improvement the VC versions offered to the max.

What I really want to know is, what did they added New, to this new Zelda game?I have OoT for the GameCube, That came with the other 3 Zelda games.
Are they going to add more Bossies, Items, More Side Quest, Another playable Charcter (like Sheik), or at less a Mutiplayer.Or are they going to update the gameplay to more of "TP Zelda" adding more Fighting styles to Link, like Finshing moves. or Fighting on horse back.If your going to remake something, at less don't make The gamplay, too dated.

The visuals in the original version of OoT have aged a fair bit in some places. As some have said, the framerate is not the smoothest thing ever, the textures are limited like all N64 games were, it has has low polygon count by today's standards, its in 4:3 and those pre-rendered backdrops look horrendous. I'm assuming OoT 3DS fixes all of those things..... what's to complain about? Sure, if they change the plot or introduce 20min cutscenes then maybe but.... somehow I don't think that'll happen.
IMO this should be the definitive version of OoT. Like the Final Cut version of Blade Runner or the recent remasters of The Beatles' albums....
