Topic: Ocarina 3D glitch???

So I'm playing Ocarina of Time 3D and really enjoying it so far. I'm currently in the Goron's city and spoke to a Goron on the bottom floor. He asks if I'm the royal family's messenger boy and says how I would have proof if I was. So naturally I go to get out the letter signed by Zelda when....I suddenly don't have it! It isn't in my gear or my items. It just gone. So is this a glitch that will be forcing me to restart the game or is there just something really stupid that I'm just totally missing here?....Any help would be much appreciated

what other thing that links you to the royal family do you have? (I don't want to spoil it for you)

It's just an empty pot...

No, wait!
There's something at the bottom!
It's just somebody's gum...

Oh wow I just figured it out. Kind of ridiculous that you HAVE to be standing on the floor mat in order for the song to work. Still kind of strange that they just take Zelda's letter away from you though. Does it just magically vanish after you show it to the guard? Thanks for the help

Sorry, I haven't played OoT in forever, but try playing Zelda's Lullaby or something.

Hm, on the 64 version I swear it always always in a spot in your inventory screen, you never really got rid of anything.

I did run into a sort of glitch on this game though immediately after killing Queen Gohma I collected the Heart Container and I guess the 3D glitched, Instead of seeing the one 3D image, I saw the two separate images used to make the 3D. Basically it was the same image side-by-side. I had 2 Heart containers on my screen :S

Only glitch I came across, if it's even a glitch... whenever I unlocked a door with bars, Link would spin around lol.

Well, I'm in the Zora Kingdom and I've still got the letter. You should still have it somewhere, have you checked all your pockets? I know I always leave things in my other pair of trousers. Although, I haven't needed the letter since, so maybe it's not vital...
Intel Update: Yep, you don't need the letter after you show it to the guard. I've still got it though, as a memento.

I don't think I ever kept the letter, at least it's not on my inventory screen... I'm guessing the guard takes it off you.

The only royal connection you have left is Zelda's Lullaby...

I have however kept a great fat red X, I can't remember getting that on the original, I do know I got it from that mask though.

I've experienced a 3D visual glitch in Kokiri Forest. If you stand under the rope bridge that's close to Saria's House and face in the direction of Saria's house (make yourself parallel to the bridge), the game looks like it switches from 3D to 2D (when you have 3D on).

It's the rope bridge shown here.

I believe this game now gets rid of one-time-use items that become useless after the one time you need them, such as Zelda's letter and the Cucco needed to wake Talon in the castle courtyard.

No, I'm pretty sure even the original got rid of the Cucco, and I still have Zelda's letter in my inventory, so maybe it is a glitch. Sorry.

Yeah, what's the deal with that? It happens to me EVERY time I unlock a door.

It's also in every other 3D Zelda game where doors lock up behind him. XD
