The only street pass I get is from these weeaboos at school. I live in a really spread out mid size city so it kind of sucks for me.

Sowwy! But then again, we in Japan never got games like VVVVVV or Night Sky, Colours 3D or Mutant Mudds. Pretty much all of those really nice looking western developed E-shop titles have passed us by.

Thanks to my epic university travel regime, I ended up getting around eighty puzzle pieces over the last three weeks. Maybe, at the end of the first year, I'd actually have all the sets done!

Nintendo needs to shift their butts and send out some puzzles to us European 3DS owners.
Also, there's an unofficial 3DS streetpass event at the ritzy cinema in Brixton, London on the 23rd of this month. Be sure to attend if you can.

Is there any way to get pink pieces besides streetpass? If not, who gets them in the first place?

I don't think so, I was able to finish all the puzzle panels released in the UK by going to things like EuroGamer Expo and Nintendo hosted events.

That's what I've wondered. Do random people get pink pieces with a new puzzle? How do pink pieces get into circulation to begin with?

Iirc, everyone got a single pink piece through Spotpass for free. It's pretty astounding that they've become so prolific, since you'd need to streetpass with lots of different people to get them all

There have been two instances where Special Nintendo Miis were distributed via SpotPass in NA; the first was Reggie to celebrate the 3DS's 1st Anniversary, the second Scott Moffit after hosting the 3DS Software Showcase thingamabob at last year's E3. Both allowed you to take 1 piece of your choice, blue or pink. Even still, that would be far too little for everyone to get/distribute for them to be fairly widespread; my guess is people resetting their 3DSs while a distribution event for a new puzzle is occurring until they get a pink piece, then StreetPassing that piece to another 3DS, and repeat until it is no longer active.

Lol, I needed 4 pieces, but I was pretty much expecting a new panel any day now. I hope we get a special SpotPass Mii with all the pink pieces for the 3DS anniversary again. The last time we got a Special SpotPass Mii, I already had all the pieces at that time: useless.

i got a special mii this morning. it was miyamoto wearing a luigi outfit. he had all sorts of pink pieces and all of the puzzles completed.

Thanks to Miyamoto's SpotPass I got all caught up to Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. Every puzzle finished but that one !!! All that's left us 7 pink pieces and 2 blue then I'll be done till the Animal Crossing one hits in June.

Thanks to Miyamoto and my multiple 3DS systems, I finished all the puzzles, mwa ha ha. The Luigi's Mansion puzzle is even more awesome than I was expecting, and funny too.

Man, just took the family to Disneyworld for a week and I got a ton of those elusive pink pieces. I got somewhere around 125 streetpass hits, probably 100 new puzzles pieces, and I even forgot to bring my 3DS out sometimes. Got hits from regions all over the world, which was cool.
