I wonder, will the full version of MH have voice chat?

Please no, not again.

Has LJM and emeralds took over your mind?

No. Voice chat was in Monster Hunter Tri was terrible, and removed a few features present in the Japanese version.

Oh, I wouldn't know since this is the first time I took a peep at monster hunter.

Monster Hunter is extremely rewarding when you are victorious. Losing can be frustratingly heartbreaking.

I'm getting a Wii U soon just for MH3U.

Anyone know if you can rearrange the HUD in the Wii U MH demo? I know you can in the final game (IGN mentioned and showed it in a video a few days ago), but I have no clue how to do it. My only problem with the demo is that my TV is cutting off parts of the HUD. I died several times while fighting Plesioth, simply because I didn't realise how low my health was because I couldn't see it. Still, this is a lot of fun!

About Castlevania, the demo was awesome. Cox was actually right, the 3D in this is something else, probably because of the fact that it's a 2.5D game and the graphics are thoroughly worked out, And the second screen is put to use in a really good manner with the levelled map, it's truly a feat. Day one download for me no matter what.

I need a new SD card to download the MH demo for 3DS right now
I did download the Wii U demo last night so I'll check that out today and see what I think of it though.

I don't know how to defeat the Monsters (not even the lagombi) they almost seem invincible can someone help me?

study the monster. it's movements and it's attacks. your two little friends are constantly pulling the attraction to them and then you should be able to attack more easily. use the roll mechanic (B) to not get hit. eat some ration to increase your movement bar.

at first it is hard to know what weapon you should choose. a fast one or a slow one? melee or shooting?
i always choose the hammer. you can do maximum damage with just one attack. charge with R and wait for the right moment to attack the monster with your giant hammer. i love the hammer

lol, thats why i was having such a hard time! I forgot about the B button!

i tried out the bow and the heavy crossbow against the bunny-bear-thing...whatever

the bow is really cool. but i couldnt defeat the monster in 20minutes because i couldnt figure out how to set the special arrows. after i managed that i beat the monster and it was quite fun. the special attack is kinda difficult because you have to be in specific distance to the monster to actually hit it.

the heavy crossbow was cool too. some very nice special ammuntion.

maybe i will choose the bow as my secondary weapon when i get the full version. first weapon is the brutal hammer !!

MH 3DS demo was waaay better than the MH U demo...

I have to agree. Its kind of weird that I thought the controls worked better for me on the 3DS. But I'm still gonna pick up bother versions when the game comes outl

I agree as well. The 3Ds controlls felt alot better to me as well the only thing that felt awkward was adjusting the camera with the crosspad/touchscreen but I found out that you can use the L button to lock on to the enemy which I am going to try tonight.

There should be a setting on your TV for that. Usually in picture options, may be labled overscan, or something else, but just look through all your picture settings for something about how it displays the picture.

Just checked, and the only screen options my TV has relate to color options. I can't find anything labeled overscan or anything related to picture position. I think it has to do with my TV being an older CRT style, as it always cuts off parts of the image. It usually doesn't impact me too much, but it does make this a bit difficult to survive.

oh, lol, yeah, that would do it. old CRTs naturally did that, some HDTV's had that on by default because the old CRTs would always do it, but had a setting to turn it off..... maybe if you have an LCD computer monitor you could do hdmi to dvi, then just use your RCA cables just for sound.... or get a cheap LCD tv like the one below

Is the Castlevania demo out in North America? I just downloaded some demos earlier (Monster Hunter/Sonic Racing) and I couldn't find it on the eshop.

OK, thanks! I may look into updating my set up at some point, but for now I think I'll live. Afterall, this is the first game that its caused an issue, and it won't matter once the actual game releases since your supposed to be able to move the HUD to the gamepad screen.

After having played through the demo a few times, I absolutely love it, even though I keep on running out of time on Lagombi (maybe using a trap would help). Doesn't look like I'll be getting this on release day, but hopefully I'll have practised enough by the time I do get it.

Edit: Scratch that; I've finally beaten it! Now to try it with more than 5 minutes to spare.

Monster Hunter 3 was horribly boring and the controls without the CPP are awful. Definitely saved me a purchase...

Can't wait for the Castlevania demo.

It certainly is, I think the series is pretty much the definition of acquired taste.

I messed with the demo for a while to check out the controls, and man I'm sooo used to the PSP's controls. The whole time I instinctively kept trying to use the claw and picking the bow while learning a new control scheme really didn't help despite normally being great with it. I guess it just goes to show how much a new set of controls can mess you up, since after playing MHP3rd I should be able to tear Lagombi apart.

I'm still going to give it a proper go tomorrow (or would that be later?) with a weapon that doesn't require as much precision.
