Soon the eShop will update and we will all be busy playing those 2 awesome games. Im in love with MH already but on the fence about Castlevania (the framerate looked choppy in all videos I have seen so far) and it will be a pleasure trying out those 2 games. Lets share our impressions here!

Top 5 Indies I'd recommend you try: #1 Lovecraft's Untold Stories, #2 Moonlighter, #3 Hotline Miami, #4 Inside, #5 Into the Breach.

i was looking at a video of the demo from Castlevania and it reminded me of the God of War games for the playstation, particularly the one for the PSP a couple years ago.
I will be looking for reviews on Castlevania and will get it if it receives good reviews.
Does anybody know if it will have multiplayer or any spotpass or streetpass features? I don't recall hearing anything about that recently.
Both demos downloaded. I'll try them later. I'll start with Wii U Monster Hunter demo which is still downloading (will take about 10 minutes more to complete).
It's its, not it's.

Just tried the 3DS demo of MH3U and it was awesome! I really like the new lock on feature and it looks fantastic. I have yet to try the Wii U demo of MH3U so I'll see what that's like later on.

MH3U is really awesome. The camera control works really well even with only one analogue pad. There are plenty of options how the camera should behave in any given situation and the demo starts with you being able to choose between many different pre-made characters all sporting different kind of weapons (bowgun anyone?) from dual blades, swords, over maces to lances and all other weird MH weaponry. Then you set off to kill one of two choosable monsters. I went with that bunny thing (its the easy choice) and had an awesome time hunting it down, getting accustomed to the controls which surprisingly went pretty quick and effortless, and then kill it. Love it and gonna make use of all the 30 tries to already know what kind of weapon to pursue when I have the full game. Thanks capcom for the way the Demo is layed out. Once in a while, you don't mess up it seems.
As for Castlevania, my fear that the framerate would suffer, I can assure you, it runs ultrasmooth. Maybe no 60 frames, but stable 30 for sure. Looks awesome too. At first the characters are really small when the camera zooms all the way out, but there are so many moments where the camera dynamically pans in and out depending on the action that it really doesn't matter. The backgrounds and levels look stunning, awesome use of light. It really feels like "one of the big games". The controls need some getting used to since I never was TOO much into castlevania but looking forward to this one. It plays like Dante's Inferno on Xbox 360 (which is a good thing, its basicly God of War) and all the platforming / jumping is done with ease and precision. The boss battles are quite nice too, problem is I don't know the names of my 3DS facebuttons yet (knowing where X and Y is for example, or better, WHICH one of those 4 it is) thus quicktime events killed me a few times! Also the timing and "pattern learning" of boss behaviour is really challenging for me, since I am not used to this type of games, but I enjoy honing my skills already in the demo. You've figured it already, I am a noob at this type of games, but still it appears to me that Castlevania is really hard. By default you start the game on normal difficulty and if you'Re not TOPS yet with your control and evasive maneuvers, you'll die. Like me. Often. Maybe I am just clumsy.
Conclusion:
MH3U is better than expected, ultra smooth, looks really good, not too many jaggies not even on XL, the camera lock on controls and such need like 5 minutes to get used to, then its second nature, I have absolutely no need for a 2nd circlepad. Instabuy. Ill go for retail though, I love my boxes and having a "physical" copy. On top of that I don't agree to the pricing on eShop retail titles. Anyways.
Castlevania is actually FAR better than expected and puts me into a dumb situation. CV comes out 8th of march. MH 22nd of march. I think to fully appreciate CV thats a too short timeframe. When MH hits, its MH and nothing else for quite some time, it might even be too early for Fire Emblem in April then for me. Because that's another timesink. And yeah I am selfemployed and got quite some work in real life too. Dang. I might skip Castlevania and pick it up somewhen in summer or when the next games-draught hit. But then again, there's Luigis Mansion too... argh.
Anyways. TOP games for a TOP handheld. Keep it coming.
My prediction of the reviews (only based off the demo, nothing solid):
MH3U: 9
CV: 8
