Given the very recent situation regarding the real world (of course I'm talking about the legality of same-sex marriage in all 50 states of the US), I definitely think patching it out would be Nintendo's largest mistake.

UHHHHH....I'm all for inclusiveness with same sex marriages but I draw the line at incest. If for some reason NoA leaves that in, I'll just go ahead and pretend none of that exists.

Also lolwat, incest relationships? I wonder what will NOA do about that. But I'm hoping they don't touch anything of the game, even though incest is a bad thing, but getting a stripped down version of the game isn't nice...

In the case of "weird, creepy" relations (as Lissa would put it, heh), it's not like Fates is the first FE game with such relationships and I don't just mean that Holy War game either. In fact, a good few of the games (from what I've seen and heard) have hints or instances of Incest, including Awakening (Lucina x Owain can happen). If any changes are made there, they might just do what they did in Awakening where the relation was changed from Husband/Wife to Companion.
Plus if the avatar is not truly related to anyone like @Morpheel mentioned, is it really incest in that instance?
I might've felt more iffy if I hadn't seen MUCH worse examples of that in anime, but at this point it's just cute. Oh Japan and your weird ideas are...cute.
Honestly, the more time passes the more it feels like the incest stuff is an elaborate troll to **** off westerners.
I think it's still a bit creepy, at least with your Nohr sisters, because you grew up with them as brother and sisters since you were a baby.
I guess it comes down to wether or not both parties are aware of their lack of blood relation before marriage can be pursued. It's still a bit uncomfortable, but it technically wouldn't be incest.

I haven't really investigated much, and could of course be wrong, but I have seen spoilers that say that aparently you're not exactly related by blood to them either.
