I'm partly surprised no one even brought this up. But seeing a FFCC game on 3DS would be sweet! I own all of the FFCC games (except My Life as a Draklord) of all the games I liked the least would have to be My Life As A King or Crystal Bearers. The one I liked the most, however, is Echoes of Time followed by the GCN game.

I can see a FFCC benefiting for the sweet features of the 3DS such as Street Pass in trading information and maybe even have a 'Quick Trade' slot where you can trade items with those you cross that are within the same 'rarity' (no one wants to trade a Mythril Sword for an Iron Ore).

I found the online component of Echoes of Time to be one of the best experiences I've had on DS. It was really cool how you could play through story mode with friends online, even strangers. And the Zelda-like puzzle elements (reminded me of Four Swords) was really enjoyable. I'm sure Square-Enix can expand FFCC on 3DS with what it has to offer. DLC, maybe new stories and this may sound a little much- but a partially persistent world akin to Monster Hunter would definitely make my day.

I would not be surprised if Square-Enix is working on FFCC 3DS. Echoes of Time was a game that came out of no where but I'm glad it did. And the cross-platform thing with Wii was really cool. Problem was it was kinda short, which is not surprising as the game is one of the best looking games on DS with full-voice acting among other things. Now I have the urge to go back and beat all the side-quests finally.

So, who else would be up for FFCC 3DS?

Echoes of Time was pretty good imo, so I wouldn't mind seeing a new entry in the series on the 3DS.

I'm sure it'll happen, but I doubt I'd be interested. I prefer their Non-Multiplayer-centric outings.

FFCC was the first game I beat with the Final Fantasy name. I still have to actually beat the other 13. But I wouldn't mind have FFVI remade for the 3DS.. Actually like Terra and that crazy Kefka guy lol

I've never been a FFCC fan. Granted, I've only played the first GC title, and My Life as a King (though I would like to get Darklord, too), but seeing as how most are like the first (which was exceedingly boring and dull for me), I'm not too interested in the series as a whole.

I'm good with the FFCC going to the 3DS with more online modes, but what really needs to happen is a FFVI Remake that would take full advantage of the system's hardware, Square, you have my full support.

I would be all over an FFCC 3DS, There should be a new one this year considering it's over a year since Crystal Bearers.

Well if Nintendo's online is suppose to be improved in any form, a FFCC for the 3DS might actually be able to be what it's suppose to be, a Diablo style half'n'slash with FF stuff in it.

They could make a Crystal Bearer game, but I'd prefer they port and add content to the Wii game for the PS3.

Echoes of Time had great online implementation so anything more is just gravy.

I'd rather they not, they should be working on something new for the franchise because that's what is great about the CC series it doesn't stagnate. Every game is different.

I wish Square Enix would stop calling these games "Final Fantasy." They're not. They're casual-geared multiplayer action games.

Although calling them "Final Fantasy" makes sense in terms of shifting a few more units, all it does in effect is confuse what the Final Fantasy name is meant to stand for - ie the kind of gameplay found in the numbered series of the games.

Same goes for the Chocobo games. They're not Final Fantasy. Yes, they have Chocobos, but beyond that the similarities end.

I love Square Enix, but they really do overuse that franchise. I'm honestly surprised the upcoming Tomb Raider game wasn't called Final Fantasy Tomb Raider.

Problem is that the Crystal Chronicles are 'exclusive' to Nintendo's consoles (apparently, that was the purpose).
Crystal Bearer was an okay game- but it was also a game I had high hopes for. I was fine with the switch to a huge focus on story but in the end, the game suffered because of some wonky controls and it kinda short in length.

I did enjoy the huge open world- definitely one of the best looking games on Wii. I kinda have the urge to go back and unlock all those 'achievements'. But Square Enix did a great job in introducing a huge, beautiful open world. I beat the game and I actually cared for the characters, especially the Selki girl (forgot her name).

And you can't deny the simalarities of that huge 'evil' Lilty to Ganon. They look SOOO alike. It was definitely a shift towards the art style in recent FF games, since the races did look alot more different.

Anyhow, FFCC 3DS Square-Enix. Make it happen

(... not that they'll be reading this, I think...)

Crystal Bearer was such an odd game. It did a few things INCREDIBLY well and a few things PAINFULLY bad and everything else was just kinda...there.

also at times it felt like the best disguised minigame game ever

If it had done a lot more to flesh out the characters and story and done more with the combat beyond a few areas that have enemies sometimes and 3 bosses and had more minigames like the train stealth mission or the beginning (more falling out of the sky with a machine gun used to kill dragons please!) it could have been something great.

Yes. It was pretty much a Minigame in disguise- somewhat lol

I really liked how you could interact with almost everything. I remember literally spending an hour on the beach pissing the girls off and having them chase around the beach haha. That was really fun hehe to pass the time to wait for the 'dark' force to come since I needed to get something from the enemies.

Crystal Chronicle games have been exclusive for Nintendo games yes, but I don't think there's a set contract in there saying CC games can ONLY be on Nintendo games.

And yes Crystal Bearers had flaws but I think it was an awesome game and has a lot of potential as a series, much like No More Heroes..I just can't see that future with the Wii.
Fact is 360 or PS3 games get bigger budgets and much better looking games regardless of who's fault that is and would love to see an improved Crystal Bearer game. It did leave it open for sequels, even a prequel. Or an improved port would be nice.
And while the story was a bit meh, I think the whole mythos of CC, the fact that every game is in the same universe just different time periods is actually very interesting and deserves a more explained story.

But yes, I'm side tracking. I'm sure we'll see a CC game for the 3DS and who knows, maybe an FFVI 3D port. Though I'd LOVE an HD 3D remake of VI for a console where the art style is similar to the manual, but I'll take ANY VI remake.

I've got agree that I'd rather see the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles franchise stay exclusive to the Nintendo consoles. It'd definitely slay me to see "Crystal Chronicles" or the "Chocobo" spin-offs mosey over to Sony PlayStation or XBOX. I hope and pray that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles stays exclusive to Nintendo as Nintendo is my gaming company of choice. One can't get any better than Nintendo and "Crystal Chronicles" and "Chocobo" are my favorite Final Fantasy brands along with the "Final Fantasy Tactics" line of products.

I also agree with you in regards to the art style komicturtle92. I liked it to. I think that FFCC Ring of Fates and FFCC Echoes of Time and FFCC Echoes of Time are the best Final Fantasy games since the first FF Crystal Chronicles game on the Nintendo GameCube and it'd be splendid to have a brand new game Crystal Chronicles on the Nintendo 3DS.

Since we don't know if or when at all there will be a FFCC on the Nintendo 3DS it is my hope that Chocobo Racing 3D will be a launch title for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan, the United Kingdom and North America.
