I'd say the 3DS doesn't quite pack the polygon power as the Wii, but it's got some pretty radical Shaders to give the illusion that it looks on par or maybe even better in ways. PLUS turn up the 3D slider which amps up the wow factor and crispness and you got one little punchy beautiful effect.
Also, compare Super Mario Galaxy 2 to Super Mario 3D Land. Clearly there's a diference in graphical power where the Wii easily outshines it, the same goes for Pit's model in SSB Brawl compared to Uprising. Not that I care. Hell I'd be just as excited or maybe even more so for another 8 or 16-bit Mario sequal.
Exactly what I was trying to say. While 3DS might not have the raw power, it has the visual tricks to make it look fairly on par with Wii. And tricks or not, visuals are visuals no matter how they get done

So what's the moral of this story...uh, thread? A game will eventually be good when it has nice gameplay, (and the graphics are a nice add-on) but a bad game that might be good-lookin', remains bad forever.

Also there's no way an N64 could run a 3DS even without shaders... which is pretty obvious because most 3DS games don't even use the shaders.
