Last time I heard, the 3DS's graphic card had 90 MB, compared to the 88 MB that the Wii has, so, everything is 2 MB prettier.

The 3DS isn't as powerful as the Wii. It's closer to the GameCube.

I don't know about that. If you compare some first gen 3DS games to first gen Wii games, they look pretty on par. And in some cases the 3DS is even a little prettier.

That's not quite true. In some aspects it's better than the Wii and in some it's not. Depending on what look the developer is going for a 3DS version could look better. Plus it's already been shown that the 3DS can handle Wii ports(One Piece, Lego Pirates).

It definitely has some advanced tech that allows it to look great, I just meant that the Wii is capable of handling more.

It can push more polygons and has a much higher fillrate(the Wii's main strength) and of course renders at a higher resolution, that is true. The small screen means the 3DS can get away with lower polycounts though.

Yes, which is why comparing 3DS and Wii screenshots is pointless. It's able to look good on a handheld screen even though it's not graphically as powerful.

Animal crossing graphics are pathetic by definition, I guess they would look the very same even in a N64. For me, Mk7 looks worse than the Wii version, the image post processing effects in Wii were quite noticeable, enhancing the final image quite a lot compared with the pics of 3DS Mk7.

That comment is just plain stupid. Animal Crossing graphics on 3DS look really good. Better than any game in the series so far. If you can find an N64 game that looks comparable then I would love to see it.

Beautiful stuff, at least in the 2nd shot. The 3DS always seems to deliver with it's beautiful and gorgeous shaders.
And Mandoble.....Pathetic? Once again, a big massive WTF. I'm diggin the quirky and pretty art direction, although AC isn't exactly my cup of tea. But If you wan't to call something pathetic, than say it to Shinobi 3DS.

I wouldn't use the word "pathetic", but I definitely would have expected a bigger difference from the N64 to 3DS. I agree with his comment on MK7, too, when it's not on the 3DS's smaller screen.

But...its is on a small screen so that makes that argument irrelevant.

I think I posted a GameCube screenie up there instead of a N64. Not quite sure though.
That aside, another screenshot that I'm pretty sure is from the Nintendo Sixtyfooouurrrrr.

Are you guys joking? So these graphics are outstanding??? Do you see there anything in particular that the N64 could not render? Do you think that a Game Cube cannot do that? If that's your concept of good graphics then how would you categorize this?

The smaller screen makes up for jagged edges, but I find it odd that the Wii game would be better at what's supposed to be the 3DS's strong point for graphics.

The GameCube game is a port of the Japanese N64 game. Both versions have the same graphics.

Are you blind?? The N64 could never render a game that smoothly! It looks about on par with Gamecube. Animal Crossing 3DS is obviously not the pinnacle of 3DS graphics but saying they could be done on N64 is total nonsense. Wow.....I'm getting a little sick of you today. What is such an anti-Nintendo troll doing around here anyway?

What does a resampled HD shot have to do with a handheld?
In any case, I'm pretty sure the 3DS's closest cousin graphically is the PSP. It just has a bit more, snazzier effects like shaders, and (duh) 3D.

Stop complaining and GO PLAY GAMES.
