Topic: 3DS demos are finally here... at Best Buy!

They're not on the eShop yet, but the 3DS displays at Best Buy have a bunch of demos for new and existing games, including Super Mario 3D Land.

I just had an idea, what if you could (automatically?) download these demos on your own 3DS when you go to Best Buy? That would be a great way to promote the games.

@tendoboy1984, with the DS Download Station for the DS Phat/DS Lite you could download demos. I'm thinking that this is a sign that demos are indeed headed to the eShop via a firmware update that will more than likely happen further down the road or perhaps even later this week hopefully.

I wouldn't be surprised that in a move similar to that of the DS Download Station we will be able to download demos to our 3DS systems via Nintendo Zone quite soon.

My tiny town doesn't have Best Buy.

Uh, weren't there already demos of games at stores since launch? I remember playing a demo version of Steel Diver at Best Buy a few months ago.

Hopefully these demos will stay permanently in our systems, cause the original DS had no internal memory to save the demos.

And the next big update is in November, so hopefully the demos will be on the eShop by then.

@pixelman That was just one game. As you can see in the video, there are now multiple demos to choose from.

Yeah, I also played a SSF43D and PWR. But i think this is for the new Holiday 3DS releases.

I'm almost obligated to ask ... since you probably went through that demo again after putting away your camera, how did it feel to have a run button in a 3D Mario game?
