Honestly I never really cared about graphics or cut Pokemon but I DO care about the fact GF has been going absolutely crazy with this bad PR stuff. However, I do realize they're a tiny developer studio that's hardly at fault here. I'm sad to think that Pokemon has fallen victim to greed of the higher ups, The Pokemon Company perhaps? We all know Junichi Masuda (I believe? Forgive me if I've got the wrong name) got pretty much burned out after his development freedom has gotten limited. I can't recall if it was said openly or if it was rumors and assumptions. It seems plausible to me- just compare how good gen 5 was even in the smallest details, and then XY came out which felt rushed and barebones. Imo GF is basically told to release Something, doesn't matter what. As long as it has a Pokemon in its title it's fine--TPC releases new merch and anime, it sells. Alls good. Except that's it's not because this has become a cycle that eventually leads to situations like this.
Games are getting spread thin, diluted almost. As if they were told to avoid putting too much content in one and make 2 or 3 games instead. At least half of Sun/Moon story content was originally planned for XY.

But someone made a different decision.
Well I digress. To reiterate, I'm really pissed they mislead their fans but I don't support harassing the developers and I wouldn't put the blame on GF. They're (imo) pretty much the victims here, stuck under their greedy overlords' boot.

Instead of #BringBackNatDex it should be #BringBackPixelSprites ;_; idk gen 5 sprites was like the best thing that happened to Pokemon, I've never been a fan of 3D models, especially for franchises that were established in 2D for over 20 years. They don't read the same and frankly even the art style doesn't seem to mix well with 3D when it comes to human characters.
I was thinking about what if swsh had the ability to use pixel sprites (which would look off either way), at this point it would be a gimmick but it's not impossible.

I admire their bravery and determination to sacrifice their time for this when they knew they'd get crap for it being too similar to Cuphead. I wouldn't take such a risk. I wouldn't be even able to put my heart to it. I probably wouldn't even feel ok making something so heavily inspired on other people's work because it wouldn't feel entirely mine and original.

I wonder what exactly do they mean by "ruined their children's life"? I mean they're still kids, and good parents can still fix what they neglected up to this point. Their life aren't ruined (yet) I assume. Cause they didn't really start yet.
On the other hand yeah those manipulative practices are a real problem. So is bad parenting.

In an ideal world EA would be struggling to put out any game on any system thanks to their scummy business tactics. Especially FIFA, it's laughable at thus point.
If only money wasn't the main point of literally everything, maybe ethics would have a chance to have a say in this sh*tshow.

it's good they revealed it. It really rubbed me the wrong way with that school setting idea and I know a lot of people felt similar (even one of the more known FE groups got a burnout because of it).
That E3 reveal made my interest go from 1 to 10 and I will be definitely getting it whereas before I didn't feel like even keeping up with updates and news not to mention buying it.

They basically saved this game from a big prank gone wrong.

Spyro is my childhood, I don't know how many times I wished they remade it. And that dream came true...except I don't have the right console to play it. I'm pretty sure it will come out for Switch eventually though. Didn't Sony and Microsoft strike some sort of deal that makes Spyro exclusive to their platforms for a year or so?

Or maybe they did it on purpose to block dataminers and this thing will now be a placeholder for any new Pokemon that's about to appear in pokego until the second it's meant to do go wild. So they trolled us basically.

If he wants to play a game, that's good, I understand him. Not everyone has family, or good relations with them. Not everyone wants to spend their last moments purposely making themselves miserable.

Well that's disappointing... I was hoping for a surprise, but I assumed it would be the finale.

It's still a must have, no matter how many times it was played. I can't tell how many times I've tweeted "man imagine skyrim on 3DS" because I craved to have it in my pocket anytime and it was one of my dreams... Then Nintendo provided, with the very first Switch trailer. How can I say "no thank you" now?

I think he doesn't actually speak english, it's more likely Ash still hears "pika pikachu" but these are understandable to him thanks to the bond he's developed with Pikachu at that point. It represents the friendship, I think it's not unusual for trainers to understand their Pokemon "by heart", without words.
The actual words were there for the viewer and I prefer that over getting the standard pika pika and then Ash being shocked and asking "what? You really want to be with me?" That just isn't natural and ruins the mood and that was an important scene. Simple as that :^)

What's up with game industry "experts" and their age of smartphone paranoia? Have they ever played a smartphone game, do they really think angry birds or horse dating sim can pose a threat to any of the consoles? I still remember that opinion of an expert before Switch came out, "why would people buy this thing if they can play games on the go on their smartphones" like really, REALLY? Obviously a person who isn't interested in games and plays angry birds or whatever on their smartphone to kill the time while they're waiting for the bus won't buy it.
It makes me a little angry someone who's supposed to be knowledgeable in that field would even think comparing android/ios games to console/pc games. You just don't do that.
Maybe in 20 years smartphones will be able to run ffxv or skyrim (because let's face it it's gonna be still relevant with how it is handled now lol), but they will be still incomparable with consoles we'll have by then. Unless they stop all development and wait for smartphones to catch up.

Can't wait to play Fire Emblem with microtransactions. After bypassing region locks, that is.
