It's literally just a few buttons and an infra-red light. It uses power at the same rate as a TV remote control — in other words, it was destined to last a very, very long time.
I would LOVE this. Unfortunately, I don't have a whole lot of SNES carts in the first place, but man what I'd give to play a few of those games on-the-go. Super Mario RPG, Super Mario World, and Tetris Attack, especially.
Heh, I love how they made it so the first two wallpapers are frame shifts of each other. Means you might theoretically be able to combine them into a 3D image. I think I'll try that!
Man the graphics in this game are kind of atrocious. I really would have just preferred 2D artwork. Maybe projected in 3D, like the 3D classics series. I hope that "flexibility" it allowed paid off.
FreakyForms looks utterly bizarre. And I normally like bizarre games, but this thing reaches the point of frightfulness. Imma count on you folk to let me know how it is.
"The Legend of Zelda Main Theme Medley — This rather lovely video features a full performance of a Zelda main theme medley arrangement, all in nice 3D. This is one of the tracks that will feature on the limited edition CD accompanying initial production runs of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword."
Relax, it takes one AAA battery that will probably last for many dozens of hours. The device is practically a TV remote control! Those things last for months, even years. You all ought to invest in rechargeable batteries, they're invaluable.
It took me a while to get the hang of this game — I actually had to read the manual to figure out how the detonations work exactly — but I'm really enjoying it. The A/V presentation is fantastic. I have a few minor quibbles, but nothing so significant that I would regret purchasing it. Especially at 500 points, it's a steal.
@allthetimeineed: Actually, the way it works is, for a select few eShop games, they give you a 10 coin product registration survey (expires after 1 week), and then as with any game, you will still get the 10 coin post play survey 1 week later as well. So those games will net you 20 coins, potentially.
I'm such a Club Nintendo fiend. I end up with so many registration codes and available surveys that I hit Platinum status every year, if not on the first day of July, then within the Summer at least. I already have enough codes and surveys saved up at the moment to put me well above Gold status for the 2012-2013 year, and will almost certainly have enough for Platinum by the end of 2011.
Stuff's already expensive in Japan, and moreover the Yen is ridiculously high relative to most other currencies at the moment, particularly the USD. So this is unsurprising, if you're doing a direct conversion. Sucks hard for importers though.

@shinespirte it's definitely AAA. 1xAAA.

Not gonna say "I told ya so", but... I did.

Re: Review: Shinobi (3DS)
@Dazza: It could be just the blown-up screenshot effect that's screwing with my impressions. Just... the texture and all stink of N64 graphics to me.
I don't really mind if the game is fun, but it's certainly not going to be winning me over with its awesome visuals alone.

I imagine if bandwidth is the problem, docking the resolution of the controller's display by a few lines should help.

3D is excellent on the Zelda video. Nice change from all the uselessly subtle ones we've been getting recently.

Re: Rumour: The Darkness II Planned for Wii U
Not so much interested in the ports, really. Not unless they really give me a reason to believe the Wii U version is superior.
