@Syr Close to no production/distribution costs is a good point for getting som additional sales, but still Gyrostarr on wiiware hasn't reached Europe yet.
Iwould have liked to see games like Void Runner, but C64 games are a bit expensive ... 500 points for a £1.95 game? They should be released in collections of perhaps 5 games for 500 points!
Although they've taken the bubble-experience really far, after mastering the basic bubble-popping strategies the game felt a bit random and left me feeling like I didn't have any way to fundamentaly improve my gameplay. It is well worth a download but I think the score 9/10 seems a bit high.
After playing this through on Easy and halfway on normal, I'd say that not having real music sort of kills this game because the gameplay fundamentals and story are so weak.
Another cool game from gameloft. My first impression is that road to celebrity is a better game (due to the fun story), the minigames in that game is are now more refined and expanded with what looks like 15 tunes from a mix of artists. Guitar playing by tapping on the touch screen works well, as does the drum-playing with the shoulder-buttons.
The gameplay is balanced well for a truly rewarding game. I agree that this game could have been rated higher, because if you're looking to try out a classic style shooter, this game should probably be the second game purchased (Star Soldier R being the first ... because it's a nice introduction to the value of high-scores and the pursuit of perfection).
I found this quite enjoyable. It's got a bit of Tetris, Suduko and Rubiks cube feel to it. I got 3 full-priced games and downloaded this when i got my dsi, and it turns outaI've been playing this game the most. Not sure about lastability, the difficulty ramps up quite fast, but gaining experience with all the combinations which adds up to ten will ensure that I'll get higher and higher scores. My progress in the puzzle game is dismal, but that might end up being the 'rubics' cube I'll pick up once in a while. (The first puzzle took about 7 seconds the first time, and 2 seconds the second attempt, but the difficulty ramps up). At 500 points it's worthwhile.
Playing against others is quite fun ... however more often than not, there are nobody else available to play. I hope they will tune this type of feature in future games, had they connected earlier to show people waiting to play in the main menu, I would go for it more often.
I've only had the chanse to play it a few hours, but I find it very enjoyable. Doing the campaign mode is quite easy to complete (especially if you do continues) and is a good introduction to the game. I've just gotten to the point where I'm staring to figure out certain bonuses and cool things on the boards, so I'll hope the depth of the game just increases as I get more used to it.
The controls using the wiimote and nunchuck works brilliantly.
I'm still very bad at this game, which become really apparent when I compete against others in the online play.
Very enjoyable! I can recommend this to anyone who likes pinball games.
I liked this game. The controls work great and this game easily ranks as the best Arkanoid clone ever. I liked both the music an graphics added to the atmosphere. I played it 5 hours and 35 minutes straight. It's completed now. I'm not sure if I'll play it again that often, but i think I got my points worth and happy I made the purchase.
It's all about the high-score. I've played this game for a few hours now, and I think it's pretty cool, but feels very short. Instead of all those shooters that are impossible to beat, you'll beat this one in a few tries, then you just replay and replay and replay to beat your high-score.
I hope it will be a simple firware upgrade to allow the use of SD cards. 2Gb SD cards are quite resonably prices, so as long as WiiWare releases keep their sizes at 2Gb or less it would work perfectly.
This is a blast from the past. I remember the awe when I saw this reviewed in Commodore User back in the day. 500 points seems overpriced, like many has commented. There isn't much variety in the game, but since I purchased it I actually have fired it up a few times... The game has a different feel compared to other shoot'em ups available on the VC, so it would probably be worth a shot for fans of shooters, but there are a lot of games to get before this one. You are often killed quite soon in this game, so you can switch over to this one during commercial breaks when watching TV.
Wow, couldn't resist getting this one. It does have a high-score table ! I noticed some severe slowdown in some cases which is unfortunate because I sometimes end up activating too many speedups. Despite the slowdowns the game is very enjoyable.
Jackaroo, the GBA version has a bad reputation. The first level is quite easy and if you get stuck there's some play-throughs on youtube to get you going again. R-Type III is a really great side-shooter, but I really miss a proper high-score table.

Finally !
Re: Pop Superstar: Road to Celebrity
Wow, this game was a pleasent surprise. Very fun indeed.
Re: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
I've played this for a few hours. This is the kind of game which almost justifies buying a DS just to play it. Very enjoyable.

Re: Wii Storage Solution Solved - Finally A Use For The SD Card Slot!
This is awesome, now I'll be able to have faster access to all my VC games ... and buy a lot more also
Re: Review: World of Goo (WiiWare)
I have to add my appreciation for this game. Very polished little game with well balanced gameplay.

Whohooo !!!
Re: USA WiiWare Update: Alien Crush Returns and Home Sweet Home
ARGH Why do we only get CRAP in Europe. Nintendo totally sucks right now.

Re: Wild West Guns - First Screenshots
I think i purchased a game like this in the Mastertronic 199 for the C64 (That's £1.99). 1000 points seems excessive.

Re: Top 10 C64 games wanted on the Virtual Console
I've allways wanted to try The Little Computer People (Disk version). Probably dead-boring, but historically interesting.

Is there a high-score list in this game, I really miss it in R-Type III.
