Re: Feature: Everything You Missed In The Switch 2 Mario Kart Reveal - Characters, Features, Easter Eggs

I’m more than happy with things looking “current gen”, as long as they run smoother and look sharper. When it comes to Nintendo, I want gameplay. If I want photo realism and next gen graphics, I go PC or PS5.

One big reason I often don’t play some Nintendo games is because they look extremely blurry on my TV. Just more game, which is also what I hope from the new Mario kart. Having a sharper smoother Mario kart in 4 player mode would be enough for me for “next gen graphics”.

@AxeltheBuizel One of the things I like about Japan sometimes. You don't have to feel "childish" or similar for having fun with cute crap.
Everyone in Japan absolutely loves Pikachu, no matter how old. Its always nice to see those running around.

Problem is that sometimes this love over childlike things can go a bit too far in this country. But the above is what makes me happy living in this country.

Re: Daemon X Machina Producer Believes A Lot Of Modern Games Look The Same

He is definitely right when it comes to the Japanese industry. And in that matter not only games. Here in japan the whole entertainment industry is just degrading. It is just about punching out as much content with cute girls or girls with big boobs as possible.
Even my wife feels kind of embarrassed to be Japanese for that matter.
But I feel soon the tides may be changing again, especially because of people like him coming out and accepting the problem.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Gives Its Tech Analysis for Xenoblade Chronicles 2

I did notice that the game looks less pretty on the go. But this kind of game, I don't really care. Same as with Xenoblade 1, which looked poop compared to the graphics the competition delivered, I extremely enjoy the Xenoblade titles.

So far (except for the extremely sexist character designs) I think Xenoblade 2 might overall be my favourite of the series.

Hm, I wonder if somebody can check if this game is switching languages depending on the language settings of the Nintendo Switch.
I am living in Japan, but Xenoblade is quite hard to understand in japanese, so I hope like other Nintendo games I can play it with english subtitles at least.

Re: Review: Super Mario Odyssey (Switch)

Nintendo saved my day. Besides Persona 5 (which is superb but also very exhausting) I had nothing to play after being tired out from work every day. My copy of Mario Odyssey just arrived and I am finishing up work in 30 minutes (I live in Japan just if anybody wonders).

I already played 10 minutes, though cough. Can't wait to continue!
