Re: Site News: So, Where's Our Harvestella Review?

@SwitchedOn_Games as others said, this feels unfair. RPGs take time to play; reviewing them will take longer still. It's refreshing to see an article that explains the review is coming but not ready yet. Few sites do this, and will normally just publish it when they're ready.

@kalosn
"It's not that bad when you think these will be solved one day when running on a more capable console from the same company."

Sure, there is always the promise of the next big thing. But when we get there, how long before games run poorly on that, too - and we're waiting for the next NEXT big thing?

Technical advancement is fine, but it might be better to target what current hardware is capable of. Even high-end consoles have titles with shaky frame rates. It's not always about needing more power.

Re: Feature: What's Your Biggest Nintendo Launch Day Regret?

Probably the N64. I did enjoy it, and there were some amazing games, but the wait between games was painful. Friends who loved the SNES had next to no interest in the N64 and jumped ship to the PlayStation instead. I lost interest in gaming for quite a few years due to the drought of available titles.

@TG16_IS_BAE You're making some odd comparisons. Skyrim has way more in it that you can do. BotW can also be completed fairly quickly, but as with Skyrim, it has a huge world to explore with loads to do. This game sounds like you can blast through it in an hour and that's pretty much it, you've seen everything.

Ignore price for a moment. Perhaps a better comparison would be A Short Hike, which is legitimately meant to be short (the name is a giveaway) and that scored quite highly. Why wasn't game length an issue with that game?

@ap0001 yep, 6/10 is above average, which I think is a fair assessment here. I was lucky and picked this up for a little over £5 due to having £10 in eShop credit and a few gold points, not to mentioned the discount. I haven't played it much (maybe a couple of hours) but so far, it's fun. My main gripes have been that it's quite sluggish, and I've had a couple of issues where the loading screen between areas hangs, the Switch gets really hot and the fans go crazy. Restarting fixed it and I didn't lose my progress, but this isn't the best experience.

Re: Nintendo Reveals Upcoming NES Game Releases For Switch Online Service

Wish they'd release the SNES version of Wario's Woods. I've only ever seen the NES version on the Virtual Console, and now on the Switch online service. I had the SNES version back in the day - an excellent, excellent puzzle game once you master it. It deserves a re-release. I could never get used to the controls on the NES version.
