"There’s good reason why so many Sonic fans remember these games so fondly (and perhaps a little longingly), and that’s because these games really got what Sonic is all about. No overwrought stories and bizarre self-insert characters here, just a blue dude with a ‘tude who fights an evil mustache man to save a bunch of animals and, eventually, the world." Disagree here. What I think the games fundamentally are about are that Sonic controls like a ball, that can roll up and down etc. and has a certain momentum and way of moving. That's the core of the gameplay and what makes the games fun. It's also what all the post MD Sonics (other than Mania) get wrong or miss, at least the few I've played.
Paper Mario #1, really?! Hahaha. Glad it is apparently worth a lot of money now though... Anyway, other than that, a good list. I would have: 1. Resident Evil 4 2. Metroid Prime 3. F-Zero GX 4. Smash Bros
3DS was a big disappointment for me after the brilliant DS. I got the original 3DS close to launch, which was a waste considering there were basically no good games then. I only bought a handful of games... actually Mario Kart is the only one I even remember buying and that was a very underwhelming Kart. Never mind the gimmicky 3d, which in fairness you can turn off if you want, it felt so uncomfortable to hold and the d-pad was entirely useless. The only Nintendo console I regret buying... even the Wii-U I don't regret, but 3DS I do regret.
Heroic achievement! It was only ruined a little once I saw what was in the background of the guys room... I guess if you want to have a world record time in Mario Kart you need to be the kind of man who has figurines on your wall though!
These controllers look nice, but... what happens in a few years when Nintendo shuts down the Switch online "service"? Forgive my ignorance here*, but I don't like the idea of only having access to the classic games if I pay a monthly fee. Virtual console was better. *I don't own a Switch.
Advance Wars was the only moment that raised my pulse, but it seems that's just a remake. Wario Ware looks interesting. Apart from that, yawn. That Metroid game will be disappointing, not as good as Super Metroid.
As someone who has a N64, GBA, GameCube, DS (Original and lite), Wii, 3DS and Wii-u, I will not buy a Switch. I would like to, but I’m not willing to throw money (and time) away on Joycons that don’t work. In no circumstances would I buy a Switch lite. At least with a regular switch you can use another controller when the joycons break. Nintendo has simply gone too far for me now.
Also, don’t expect Nintendo to fix the joycon drift on any Switch Pro. Nintendo can be relied upon to disappoint when it comes to things like this.

Re: Inappropriate Names In Nintendo Switch Sports Prompt Report Function Requests
Ah yes, I fondly remember the Hitler Mii's from the Wii

Anyway, other than that, a good list.
I would have:
1. Resident Evil 4
2. Metroid Prime
3. F-Zero GX
4. Smash Bros
Also good but missing: XIII, Warioware.
Re: Soapbox: Please, Please, Please Release Sonic Advance Trilogy On Nintendo Switch Online
Sonic Advance was a massive disappointment to me. I was expecting something like the Megadrive Sonics.
Re: PSA: Nintendo Switch Sports Local Multiplayer Won't Work On Switch Lite Or In Tabletop Mode
Classic Nintendo two fingers to the customer.

Re: Talking Point: How's Your Switch Holding Up After 5 Years?
Fix your bloody joy-cons Nintendo! I have not bought a switch yet, am put off by the joy-cons, one of the main features of the console, not working!
Re: Feature: 23 Best Wii U eShop Games You Should Get Before They're Gone Forever
I cannot recommend Ultratron highly enough! I think it's the Wii-U game I spent most time on, after Zelda. Really, really good arcade style shooter.

Re: "Next-Gen" Anti-Grav Racer Redout 2 Speeds Onto Nintendo Switch In 2022
Doesn't look as good, or as fast, as F Zero GX.
Re: Doug Bowser Comments On The Battle Against Joy-Con Drift, Says Nintendo Are Making "Continuous Improvements"
Sorry Nintendo, until you sort this out properly I will not buy a Switch!
Re: 'Aero GPX' Is One Man's Vision Of 'F-Zero' Reborn, And It Could Come To Switch
Hubba hubba! This looks great! Kudos to that guy.
I imagine it will be difficult to get close to GX however as one person developing alone.

Re: Soapbox: Indies Lead The Way But Nintendo Shows Progress Representing People Of Colour
I would just like to say that I do not want articles like this, meaning political articles, on Nintendo Life.

That Metroid game will be disappointing, not as good as Super Metroid.

Re: Defentron Brings '80s-Style 3D Tower Defence To Switch Next Month
@Bermanator Ultratron on the wii-u is incredible. I never played robotron, but apparently it’s a spiritual successor. Has that classic arcade feel.
Re: Poll: Rate Your Favourite Wii Games
Too much shovleware to go through the full list I'm afraid.
Re: Genshin Impact Dev Responds To Breath Of The Wild Clone Comments, Insists It's A "Very Different" Experience
Similar, or even clone, games are nothing new. Big deal. Who cares?
Re: Nintendo Is Getting Sued Yet Again Over Switch Joy-Con Drift
I will not buy a switch until Nintendo fixes this. None of their previous controllers had issues this bad.
