As mentioned earlier, you don’t need DF for a comparison. One game charges a sizeable entry fee the other does not (yet) and if it does will join many other similar games in the void of forgotten. One contains multiple characters pulled from the gaming universe. The other is what someone has the rights to.

I am not sure how a decision made a few years ago was effected by the performance of a GTA trilogy release not so long ago. Taking about performance like many others in the comments any update regarding the current situation with the Nintendo Switch GTA trilogy? Yes it was duff on release but has it improved any in the time since.

Could just be me but why are prices for all platforms being mentioned. Xbox seems to be getting ripped off slightly more than Nintendo switch owners which is nice to see. For me I tuned out over time. Came back to it after a while and no idea what I was doing or where I was going. May need to start afresh.

@Mgalens. Been scoping out some game footage. Suspect it will be dynamic resolution to keep things moving. Took a leap of faith and preordered a physical copy. At guess Square won’t want to Cyberpunk it. Have if PS5 but got kicked to the back of the queue. A truly unique game.

Nier Automata on a a vanilla ps4 was not great in terms of performance. Cannot help but feel I will be reading reviews in the vein of Ninja Gaiden trilogy. Aims for 30fps but in reality…..

P5R is really good. There is an initial what the heck is going on phase but then things start moving with pace and if you like good story telling/plot it pulls you in as you count down the days each month. Fingers crossed the Switch port is good.

@Rykdrew. There are events within each league tier that are similar to DD but across the wider selection of league events everything is unrelated. No gold cup to aim for. For me given the variety of cars and races on offer you lost the persona of the opponents from the original DD i.e “The General”.

@wonderclassic. Would assume the usage of “Super Mario” in the game title is the initial hurdle. From the screen shot on the page the main character looks very similar to one created by Nintendo.

@Rykdrew. In online multiplayer you sort of can however it’s not a straight racing game. With a group you can pick and choose when type of racing you do. The single player is a a league type affair this multiple types of race events each awarding points that open up access to higher leagues/events. When it comes to racing the are arena type events, lap races, lawnmower racing, motor homes, trucks, buses. There are rally type events which are not circuits but A to B races. Crashing into others is encouraged. I would not class it as a MARIO kart points league type of game.

Feel relieved I did not bite with this. There so many other ways to play these games. I have bought most so many times previously that my conscious is clear. Maybe down the road there will be a definitive/ultimate edition on sale for 4.99 that does not need a webpage to explain what is and is not included.

A senior editorial producer thought it a good idea to share a video of game being developed that they knew did not resemble what it currently looked or played like. It’s called a “cash cow”. At least the games on offer are a little more diverse than the sonic, golden axe, altered beast trope. Truth is a Raspberry Pi will do just about mini console.

@MARl0 Oddly did not seem to get a mention the review. I got this on Jap eShop. While on the main performance is okay there is some noticeable “slow down” when the screen is filled with your projectiles and numerous enemies moving around. To be fair the original on SNES also had slow down. I would be hopeful things can be improved via patches. It by no means a disaster and they occur briefly when if happens.

So how many more times are NL going to promote the podcast? Other members of Joe Public I guess do podcasts and have opinions. Charging people to play roms i dunno, sounds a bit shady. Wonder where Nintendo get the roms from. I would be interesting to see the top of 10 games played online on switch and from that which actually need NSO.

@chipia True you would expect it to run on the current spec but in a new 3DS fashion, running in native 4k, HDR, 60fps, more foliage, increased draw distance on a more powerful device would be a system seller. They needed more time for the first title as well.

Launch title for Switch “Pro”. Same thing happened for BotW.

@BenAV Same here. Main screen with what’s recently been played, everything else hidden away. Only exception may be ACA games which TBH are a bit of an eyesore.

@Rayquaza2510 really meant the switch vs pc graphics comparison is a bit irrelevant. The switch uses about 4 watts in handheld mode. Show me the comparison of MHR running on a similarly powered pc.

Or Sony could just push out a remote play app on the switch.

Good job the internet is here to confirm a pc with a #300 processor and #900 graphics card has better graphics performance than a switch. As everyone cares about the environment there should be a compulsory power consumption rating.

Pretty poor really to charge an additional fee for access to other game platforms. It not like their is a option for a lower cost without the current snes/nes options.

I got the Pyra figure when originally released. It’s Really good. Got my Mythra later on from eBay. Was a country of manufacture version so only cost £20 delivered. While the painter was not quite as skilled in a couple of places. When view from arms length you could not tell.

Yup. A YouTuber that don’t know much the Gameboy Advance SP. “Cannot plug headphones into it” Yes you could. It had an adaptor that plugged into the back of it. Think I still have one.
