Re: Die Rise Could Arrive in Call of Duty: Black Ops II on Wii U After Mystery Menu Appearance

Ghosts isn't bad. I have never seen over 800 folks playing at any given time online. Barely on average 600 really. 300 or so on team death match, the other on domination. then nickels and dimes to the other modes. Enough to find matches easily enough on the main modes but never ever enough to play cranked or hardcore mode. Extinction mode is decent but not reliably getting a 4
Person team every time.

@Axed84
Agreed. I am five years platinum in a row. I own all of these except Donkey Kong returns 3D....which I own the Wii version. Great game and had great reviews...but.. Eh.. Rather let down. Most of the time I like sending the cool exclusive prizes to my brother as his birthday is around the time I receive the physical ones in the mail.

Re: Nintendo Scoops Three "Best Of E3" Game Critics Awards

@wayneyrob22 short on games? Have you looked at the eShop? Or say....anything recent articles showing top 10 to own; 10 reasons to buy a Wii U now. I personally own Mario/Luigi U. Game & Wario, Nintendo Land, ZombiU, COD Ghosts, Pikmin 3, Wii Fit U, Wii Sports HD, Zelda HD, Deus EX Directors Cut, Sonic Lost Worlds (my son wanted it; surprisingly fun), Ducktales Remastered, NES Remix, ZEN Pinball (own three boards wife loves the high scores competiviness), Mighty Switch Force HD, Super Mario 3D World, and Mario Kart 8 with free Wii party U. From there I got a lot of Virtual Console games: Mega Man X, Earthbound, Ghosts n Goblins, Donkey Kong and Punch Out. Phew! I think that almost all of them. But yeah!

There is no shortage of games. Do your research!

Re: New 3DS System Update 7-2-0-17 Now Live

Never thought I would ever bother with parental controls. But being a father of two boys who are proud owners of 2DSs, it is a much used tool. And yes; the new email function will be something I will start using immediately. Thanks Nintendo; that was a spot on idea. Now can we link games to accounts and not systems??

Re: Review: Mario Party: Island Tour (3DS)

Bought it for my boys. One copy, and 1 3DS XL LMITED ZELDA edition, 1 3DS and 2 2DSs in my household= FUN for everyone. (one of the 3DS's has a hinge broken, will turn that in soon for repairs). So much fun with this. Haven't played a Mario Party game since Mario Party 2.

Re: IDC Expects Console Sales To Rise This Year

I alone know of 5 people that will be buying a wii U; due to playing it in my house. They also noted the great digital offerings and the great idea of buying a external hard drive versus paying premium costs for internal hard drive space you probably would not fill up anyways.

Yay! Now to scrape up some loose cash to buy it on retail. Seems like it would be a huge download hit to my meager SD card.

Re: Wii Street U Update Allows You to Walk the Virtual Streets

orravan85

I tired it out last night. Found myself having an incredible amount of fun with it. I set up the map so my 4 year old son had to walk from this ice cream shop I went to as a kid; then had him walk for about 10 blocks to get to the house I grew up in. It was fun, as I pointed out places to him and their meanings to me.

Then I took a "jog" through his mother's small home town. Visiting her dad's place and then "jogging" to his work pretty far away to the coke-cola factory. I acthually build up a good sweat "jogging" in place. I thin I was "jogging" for maybe 40 minutes. My wife was having a blast directing me through her old home town.

Re: Nintendo's Scott Moffitt: 3DS and Vita Have Very Different Strategies For Portable Play

orravan85

@Rafie gasp! Upon reading your comment; I came to a realization! The vita and wii U are in a similar situation! What Sells systems is not ports and third party! It is the exclusive only found there experience. The 3DS success story wasn't all about third party support! It was that unique gameplay experiences that could only be found on the Nintendo system. We don't need ports on the Wii U and it saying "we have that game too". No. Nintendo has it right. Exclusive games, exclusive Nintendo franchises and that always fun innovative Nintendo style.

Re: Reggie Has Seen The Xbox One And PS4 Launch Lineups, And He Says "Meh"

orravan85

Excellenent. I absolutly enjoy my Wii U. My family has never played games together as much as it does now thanks to Nintendo. From the wife to my year old son. There is truly fun for the whole family. Currently we play Game & Wario almost everyday before bed. I do not see myself needing a PS4 or Xbone this generation of consoles.
