@DwaynesGames I'm a backer as well ,and part of the appeal of the game was charm of Banjo Kazooie like title and character dynamic. They scrap it for an unasked for generic character
@RupeeClock I'm honestly surprised Jools hasn't blocked me on Twitter/X as i've been extremely vocal on there as JD Wolf blasting him about how he's handled this game for years.
@RupeeClock i get wanting to rebrand ,but people including myself backed this game as Chicken Wiggle as the Chicken/Worm duo. What they wanted to do to the game should of been communicated to backers ,but likely wasn't due to people likely demanding refunds which would of resulted in them losing funds.
I guess Jools learned nothing with this time working on Vexx back in the day that a game design doesn't have to be "edgy" and "cool" to go along with the hardcore nature of the gameplay.
The redesign looks cheap and generic. It's a lost all the charm and soul of what the original was and why i even backed it up.
Now I love this game have it on PS3, PS4 and hell even had it back in the day on 360. Now while it does maintain 60 fps for the most part it's not constant I've had plenty of instances mainly during road rage and marked man events where the framerate takes a nosedive and its jarring. I dont ever recall the same thing happening on even ps3. I'm usually not an fps/graphics nut as half the time I dont usually notice frame issues unless it's pretty big.
Am I the only one who experiences this while playing?
Are we seriously going to knock it for it's enemy encounters being taken down in one hit....that's how nearly every platformer works especially from that era. Did you guys even notice there is a hardcore mode? i haven't tried it yet but i'm sure it makes it harder.
to the discussion about Beyond Good and Evil...yes it already exists but not on current consoles especially Switch.
I used an aussie account here in the states to download but it keeps telling me failed to connect to the warfare servers...anyone else in the USA or at least not in Australia have this issue?
They are good guys they helped set up a retro show here in Pittsburgh, PA called the Pittsburgh Retro Gaming Convention that i got to be apart of showing off my game Booty Diver prior to it's Wii U release
I've been a huge fan of loco's games for a long time including his new one. 3DS is okay for his games to come to i even played them on Ouya when it was a thing..he's even inspired me as an indie dev although i must say i would much rather his games come to Wii U than solely 3DS.
I wonder if they will be working with Cash-In Culture here in the Pittsburgh area for distribution locally. The guys that run that chain of stores here just put out a new NES game or 2 through some partnership they have...Wish i knew about this convention sooner i would of liked to take Booty Diver to it to show it off
i like the new update ,but i think they need to give us the option to where we can customize what games/apps are on the quick select. For instance a lot of my non-eshop games are on disc yet my quick select out of whats like 8 boxes has 5-6 of them taken up ,but by disc games. I rather be able to quickly access my disc, netflix, youtube, then eshop games for the rest of the spots.
Thanks c1pher_c0mplet i thought that was how i heard it before when the game was originally announced although reading reviews on the game made me think otherwise if thats the case it'll definitely be on my get list
Okay so i'm confused here....Is this release the full original game ,and the later episodes are new content ,or did they split up the original game into episodes so this release is only part of the original?
i don't think its so much about not continuing with the series ,but they should re-evaluate the genre style for the series. Maybe a straight up platformer.
I know personally i bought the original Toki Tori 3 times (WiiWare, Wii U eShop, and Android) then i also bought Toki Tori 2 + on Eshop.
@notcoowl i agree with you man. Yeah sonic was able to be fast ,but that was never the best way to get through the game. Even sonic 1 had swings that you had to wait for over pits of spikes. You sure as hell weren't running over that.
I personally liked games like Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Colors ,and Lost World. Although i enjoyed them the Adventure games were never my fav and i find those were the worst 3d games
TruenoGT i was thinking the same thing when i seen this announcement. A Wii U version of Castlevania MoF seems like a no brainer with the gamepad. On topic though i never got the portable version of this ,and now that it's coming to Wii U ill grab it there.
I've actually even been rebuying Wii U versions of my PS3 games because of the off screen play. Silly i know ,but it makes difference when you have a kid ,and wife that use the TV often.
I've been saying for years i'd like to see Metroid take a Dead Space/Resident Evil 4 camera approach. Almost like a Survival-Horror Action Platformer Shooter lol. I really got that vibe in Other M when the camera pulls over Samus's shoulder.
Sad to see ,but at least they aren't shuttering completely they going to still be developing games ,and it even sounds like they'll be branching out in genres. I actually bought Toki Tori several times over LOL. I bought the Wii Ware version when it came out then i got it on my Android then i bought the Wii U remake. I also grabbed Toki Tori 2+...find myself getting stuck in it easy a good bit of the time.
