Theory 5 sounds the most likely, Nintendo will most likely release it at some point.

Only liked the first two games, i didn't care for the boring pseudo RPG platformer hybrid that Miyamoto forced it to become.

Some good choices, but I think Wario Land is more deserving than Mario Land since Wario has barely gotten any attention over the years.

Announced too prematurely, just like Prime 4 which barely started development.

I could see BOTW2 being the only real big title of 2021, but thats only because the devs themselves said it started as a DLC.

I hope they make a Kirby game thats more advanced this time, maybe even full 3D or at least something halfway like Mario 3D Land/World.

Kirby's formula has been stagnant since 64. The games are still fun, especially Planet Robobot, but there is so much more potential to this franchise.

ehh SaGa games to me were always like the deformed cousin of the classic FF games.

Id much rather pay the same price for an FF collection that spans from 1-9

@nessisonett i liked his first two albums when he was doing more concious hip hop, once he went over to glam rap starting with his third album i tuned out.

@TheLightSpirit opposite for me. I replayed Banjo recently and thought it held up surprisingly well, even better than Mario 64 in my honest opinion.

@SquashyCat the first game was just mediocre, felt more like a Banjo rip off than a spiritual successor. Think Earthworm Jim 3D on N64.

The level design lacked structure and felt like you were aimlessly wandering rather then fun platforming while finding secrets like the Banjo games.

As for Impossible Lair, it was good. Felt a lot closer to the spirit of the old Rareware games.

Worst year for the switch imo. Only game i bought was the Mario 3D collection.

I dont hold it against nintendo due to the lockdown messing them up, i just hope next year will be better since its starting pretty solid with Bravely Default 2 and Mario 3D World.

I still remember getting Ocarina Of Time on Christmas. My brother and I played from like 3 in the afternoon all the way until 4 in the morning.

Videogames have kind of peaked in terms of graphics, but back then going from ALTTP and Links Awakening to OOT really felt like waking up 100 years in the future.

At this point its basically a retro game emulator box, most of the first party games worth owning migrated to Switch. I just use it for the VC games i have whenever I crave something like Metroid or Castlevania.

Its a shame it was so poorly branded and overpriced, if they made it a more standard console with a pro controller only then it might have done better.

@Rockman55 lots of people bought it on hype without knowing about its problems ahead of time.

@Munchlax at this point we have Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Pokemon, Persona, and Fire Emblem reps. Smash has already done enough in terms of representing iconic JRPGs with several characters. Adding Geno is just a played out meme at this point, most people outside of internet bubbles wouldn't even appreciate him anyways.

@Yosher GT was the unofficial sequel to Z made by Toei due to the popularity of the franchise. Its not based on any mangas made by Toriyama, the only involvement he had was some concept art.

Super is the canon prequel/sequel to Z, it takes place after the Majin Buu arc and before the last episode which was a 10 year time skip.

@Yosher its become a meme now to hate it unfairly. It was definitely flawed and a disappointing sequel to Z, but its not without its good moments and ideas. The Baby Saga is up there as one of the best sagas in all of DB for me personally, and SSJ4 is still one of the best looking power ups.

I think if Toriyama took the good ideas and canonized them like he did with Broly, it would change a lot of people's minds.

@PawlSLax because despite GTs flaws, Baby is still one of the best written villains of the series due to his understandable motive rather than just being another mindless brute with a god complex, plus his golden ape form was badass. SSJ4 Gogeta is a bit redundant since they added the blue Gogeta, but its nice to be able to play as a SSJ4 since its arguably the most popular idea to come out of GT, especially after how lackluster the new forms in super looked by comparison.

The majority of the cast is already DBZ including some non cannon stuff, all thats really left is the less memorable movie villains like Hirudegarn or other protagonists who didn't really fight much like Supreme Kai, let GT shine a bit since it still has some good ideas.

nothing amazing, they make billions doing the bare minimum

the only thing they're encouraging is to emulate the game. No way am I spending $200 on a beat em up that probably takes like two hours at the most to finish.

I think they should do a new game closer to the style of the first two while also introducing some new ideas. Nuts and Bolts felt too much like a different game set in the Banjo World, and the meta jokes mocking collectathons was just an insult to the fans.

@Sondheimist well written? We have an unlikable character who murders the protagonists in a humiliating way and then were forced to play as her for good chunk of the game. This game is just nihilistic filth made for people who just want games to be movies/high art instead of something fun.

@Peach64 didn't want it stealing Zelda's thunder, because we all know a Mario game would outshine a Zelda spinoff easily.

@Peach64 Last Of Us 2 was critically acclaimed by critics, however by fans its considered bad or divisive if you look at user reviews on Metacritic or just comments and discussions in general. The sales also dropped by 80% after its launch week. The only legacy the game will have in its future is how divisive it was as opposed to the first game which is GOATed all the time.

Ghost Of Tsuishima would be a better pick since it sold more and is respected more by gamers compared to critics.

Game awards were always meaningless. I remember back in the 2000's they would always just give them to some generic gritty FPS or GTA, but in this case its more obvious its rigged to artificially promote TLOU2 even though at best its one of the most divisive games ever due to how much it ruined the first games story and how much of a baby the lead dev was on Twitter.

Sega also thought back in the 90's that RPGs weren't worth exporting because everyone just prefers sports and fighting games, and we saw how well that turned out for them in the 3D era.
