Well, Calculon, I must have issues as I think Brawl is the superior game to Melee - by far!
It's not just the fighting I love, it's all the unlockables, the nostalgia and all the endless video game references. I've had the game nearly a year now and I'm still unlocking things. Melee was a great game too, but it's only half the game Brawl is. Now I hope no one is going to give me technical fighting game reasons as to why Melee is superior because it's Smash Bros, not Virtua Fighter - random items and feature filled stages are what it's all about.
This is just stupid if they don't release it on the Wii. Turtles in Time was a game that was made popular on the SNES and the Turtles series of games were most popular on Nintendo machines. Surely if anyone is interested in reliving old games from that era such as Turtles, then they'd have a Wii.
Yeah where the hell is SF4!??! I've played it to death & the Wii can easily handle it. It's still 2D gameplay so really any system could handle a version of it. Nintendo helped make Street Fighter what it is.
Also it's a crime there's no RE5 when the Wii is the only console where every game in the series is playable on it - minus the final chapter now, of course grr.
SNES actually - it wasn't mine, though. Think it was a rental or I borrowed it. I didn't know they were different - going to check out the Megadrive version now on an emulator then.
I just didn't think Sparkster had that same charm RKA had. It took away some of the cuteness, levels weren't as inventive and I just thought it was poorer visually.
I love Rocket Knight Adventures - it has such charm! I wasn't such a fan of the sequel, Sparkster, though. He definately needs to return in a new game AND to appear on the Virtual Console.
I'd rather the new game was a disc based release, though.
ARRRRGGGHHH!!!!!! I'm now going to dedicate my life to bringing down Sony! I feel like one of those nerds who goes on about large corporations being evil - but Sony generally really do wind me up!
They seem to treat customers like idiots who actually buy from them and, those who don't, they try to punish. Well I won't have it - Sony, I was never going to buy a PS3 but now I'm also going to go out of my way to never buy any of your crappy TVs, DVD players - anything. I'll go watch Ghostbusters 3 at cinema but that's all the money you'll get from me.
What happened? I'm sure Nintendo used to be for the more hardcore gamers in the past. People who owned a GameCube, snapping up titles such as Zelda, Mario, Resident Evil, Metroid Prime etc were always seen as more hardcore than the people buying their GTA's on the PS2.
Now, for some reason, people who buy those same games this generation are casual gamers. Is it simply because Nintendo's console is the most popular this time? Last generation it was dull looking "gangsta" games, countless FPS titles and sports sims that were considered casual titles. Now they're the hardcore games this generation?
Really it just seems to be a matter of oppinion mixed with fans of rival consoles using it to put others down.
I'll tell you why I'm confused by all this. I've always considered myself a hardcore gamer. I previously owned a GameCube and, before that, a Dreamcast, Saturn, Megadrive with Mega CD etc. I have a ton of rare games for those consoles - does the likes of Radient Silvergun seem hardcore to you? I've bought the classics, imported the rare titles and have some absolute gems in my collection.
However people I talk to, especially those at work, consider me a casual gamer simply because I own a Wii. I'm not playing Gear of War, GTA 4 etc like those at work. How do these guys who just buy whatever big 360 release come out that week suddenly become hardcore gamers? They've never even heard of the majority of games I've owned. It's ridiculous - I own a Wii, I love it, and I'm a hardcore gamer...I think.
This is great news and looks like it will be my first ever WiiWare purchase!
I'm kind of glad it's a remake rather than a port. I always preferred the original arcade game to this, but I still found Turtles in Time a lot of fun. It'll be nice to play a classic TMNT game with a new twist to it. If they also release the original 1989 arcade game on VC Arcade too, I'll be VERY happy (as opposed to just being really happy).
Didn't notice anything from Code Veronica on there but I'm assuming it's in. Unless that shot of the zombies coming out the ground is from it? I can't remember any scene in RE2 where it's raining and zombies are coming out the ground in what looks like a graveyard - but that happened in Code Veronica.
Those graphics actually look pretty poor to me. I mean, for a Sega game, I'd expect something looking a bit nicer - like they did with MadWorld and Overkill. Those shots looks like they're from a 1998 PC game or something.
Wildcat - are you sure you didn't see the PS2 or PSP version? There's plenty of those but none of the Wii versions of those games. I live in a big city and not seen them once - can't find them online either. Hopefully you can prove me wrong - I'm so desperate to buy them!
Is this one actually out to buy in the shops though? Considering SNK Arcade Classics and the King of Fighters Collection are nowhere to be found either online or in shops, I'm not holding out much hope of finding this either.
I'm going to be buying the Wii and PC version of the game. I love the movies and want the game on the Wii, but I'd prefer the more realistic graphics style. The Wii version does look great, though.
I love Another Code - great to see another one and even better that it's on the Wii this time. I'm also a big fan of Hotel Dusk - would be nice to see a Kyle Hyde adventure show up on the Wii at some point too.
C'mon guys - let's get e-mailing Nintendo on this. There's a market for this type of game on the Wii - not everyone wants to play childish mini games all the time.
Really, though, I don't see why it wont get a release. Nintendo will want to cater to real gamers now they've cracked the mainstreme market. With games like Mad World, House of the Dead and Darkside Chronicles making their way to the Wii I can see more and more demand for these types of games gradually emerging.
Argh this is driving me mad! I've been into Game (actual store and online), GameStation (ditto for this), Play, Amazon and e-bay amongst other things and can't seem to find any sign of this, King of Fighters Orochi Saga and Samurai Shodown Anthology!
I've seen PAL reviews all over the web for these games (including this site) and they all say they were released last weekend - so why does nowhere even list them? It's like they don't exist. PLEASE point me in the right direction to somewhere I can buy all three games as I'm going mad looking for them!

He should have done the Final Fight car smash - it's a lot easier with a lead pipe...
