Re: Guide: The Hottest Boxing Day 2014 Deals for Wii U and 3DS

Retail deals that drop the price of Smash Bros by $20 and yet .... NOTHING ON ESHOP?!

What gives Nintendo Eshop? You keep a higher portion of sales proceeds, there are no disks that can be traded afterwards, yet you want to rip off customers by charging them amounts that are over market?

Yuck!

@Cathousemaster

Cathousemaster said "... have a thought for us: because the classification costs in Australia are so high, we are not going to release the game here at all. So I'll never get to play or show this to people on my WiiU "

Now now now ... just do what we Canucks do. Set up an alternate ID for another country and buy the game there. Really stupid that we have to do this, I know, but I find myself doing this because I get 20% off Nintendo eshop cards in the US.

@Cathousemaster

I'm having a great time with my 8 year old daughter playing this game - we both get annoyed at each other taking the other's pollen - now if we can just get through that darn desert part!!

Really .... a bargain and I was VERY surprised how good it was, and how much my daughter got into it. Great game for parents to play with kids - all equal.

Hey - NINTENDO! Yeah You!!!

You want me to buy more from e-shop? Than keep the commitment to allow my Nintendo ID to be used between machines. You are pushing me to disks, which while slightly less convenient, are FAR more less costly .... and don't prevent me from having two Wii U's in my home.

I'm REALLY TIRED OF WAITING!

Have they disconnected the Network ID from the hardware yet? Isn't it about time to give us real network IDs so that when our hardware explodes we can replace it without losing all our software purchases, Nintendo?

Seriously, I'd pick up another Wii U if the same account applied. As it is, I feel ripped off by E-shop pricing, and the disks work in multiple machines.

"but there really has not been a game that really takes advantage of the gamepad"

Deus Ex makes GREAT use of the gamepad to the point that I prefer it on the Wii U. Someone else mentioned Rayman Legends, and I've heard that Assissins Creed IV makes great use of the gamepad. Come to think of it, so do ZombiU and Nintendoland.

The gamepad is great. Nintendo just needs to pay advertising dollars to ensure that the AAA franchises are brought across to the Wii U.
