GameInformer only gave the Wii Sam and Max a 7/10 or something. So, I'd say it's probably average depending on who's playing it.

@Stratos--Good point, but it's still not an excuse to complain about the releases. If they're generally accepted as being entertaining to a decently large group of people, then you can't call them crap. Plus, all it means is that more games that interest him will be released at the same time instead of spread out. Nobody practices patience on the internet, I suppose

Wow, an 8/10. I was not expecting that at all. I don't know why everyone says Wiiware is crap, the majority of the games on the service are at least above average.

@opeter According to this website, SBCG4AP is better than Protothea and about the same as Gyrostarr, and My Aquarium has gotten a better score than both, so you can't really bash this weeks releases just because you don't like them.

Yeah, I was expecting an 8, but the issues brought up were logical and well thought-out. I would say that this is the Wiiware game with the most personality so far though

This is pretty great. Good to see some new games at the top of the list, especially Strong Bad. I'm glad to see Wild West Guns up there too.

This is gonna make a ton of money on the service, considering it's a popular puzzle franchise. Just look at the success of Dr. Mario...

Strong Bad is number 1? Yes!! Victory! MUCH more deserving than Pong Toss...It seems the fans of Homestar Runner are a strong bunch...

I liked Luc's ideas, but if he can't handle his failures with grace (or, according to this news, can't handle them at all), then I'm not particularly sorry to see him go. Leaving the industry is his prerogative, and I can't say anything against the decision, except that I don't particularly respect it. If you want anything in life, your not gonna get it by giving up easily. Sorry if that sounds a little harsh.

I've been playing it for a while. Really funny game, although I have to say it's not quite as funny as the web cartoon in my opinion...
On another note, Pong Toss is #1 in America today. Incredible...I don't understand how the game could sound that appealing, even to non-gamers...

Okay, I've been fine with everything that's happened on Wiiware so far. There are bound to be some bad games, and I'm comfortable with that. But this crosses the line for me. I hate stupid clone games, and this is the first clone of a Wiiware game so far. Not a good sign.

Finally! I can't wait to get this one. I can pretty much guarantee it's gonna be hilarious. But I suppose I'm not the one doing the reviewing here...

I still think Nintendo may not have been sitting on the game, but it was their call not to realease it this week. Nintendo is most definitely a Teen Girl Squad...

On another note, I don't have oodles of money hanging around waiting to be spent, so it's not like I've even touched the huge catalogue of VC games already released. So, the releases have been bad recently...go back and try something you may have missed when it came out.

It's not total sales--it's definitely weekly sales. Or else the new games wouldn't jump up so high so fast, and we wouldn't see so much movement.

I agree with most of what you say, but I think people are mainly put off by the way you say it.
And, quite frankly, I'm tired of Neo Geo games because, as you said, fighters don't appeal to me.

Instead of complaining about the misplaced games, I'll take a different point of view. I think this is actually a pretty good list. LostWinds, a launch game, has consistently stuck at number 6, that's pretty good word of mouth. Same goes with Defend Your Castle at number 3, encouraging more developers to keep their games cheap (like Gyrostarr, which is off to a good start). I am also glad that VIP Casino: Blackjack, Protothea, Critter Roundup, and to a lesser extent Star Soldier R have sunk to the bottom four. That's comforting.

As of right now there aren't any WiiWare games rated below 4 on WiWare World's scale. That's pretty good. That means all of the releases have been at least average, or maybe a hair below.

I love this game. I had a version on my old computer. I think I'll download it. I'll get some good fun out of it.

I've never played SMRPG, but I can say with some confidence that it is neither the best RPG nor the best Mario game of all time. Those titles are just too lofty

That's about right, and I have no problems with the list. There's bound to be a few games misplaced from our perspective, and these offenses aren't so bad. Of course My Pokemon Ranch is number 3! I'm surprised it's not 2 or 1. But that'll come with time.

Someone needs to tell Fischer this is like giving him a cardboard box to store all of his money in, and he has to put the rest in the bank. Whenever he wants to play with his wads of cash, he has to use the ones in the box, or else drive to the bank to exchange them for a different set.
He'd apologize and take back his comments in no time. You just need to relate.

This is a dark day for Nintendo fans...not to be dramatic or anything. I don't really care about the storage problem myself--I always figured they'd sort it out eventually--but this comment is just downright rude. I'm pretty surprised actually. Too bad I'm not terribly wealthy, so the Wii is my best choice for a system as it stands. Plus, I really like it. A lot. I wish Nintendo would sort out its problems. (not likely with all of the cash they have flowing in)

You know, it's that kind of crummy attitude that made Wii Play one of the best selling games of the year, despite it's sub-par quality. I don't think it's right to support the release of garbage--oh wait, I bought Wii Play for the remote too

I'm actually quite happy about this. Someone had the sense to delay the release date for the benefit of the game as opposed to putting it out unpolished. I can wait. I have other games. I want this one to be the best it can be. Strong Bad is awesome...

You guys seem to think this was a bad interview. In truth, this was an excellent interview, for Nintendo at least. It was a bit dull for us. They didn't want to answer our questions, so Mr. Prata answered them like a politician. Good job. When they want to talk, they'll talk. Something's gonna give soon. Have patience.
