Re: New Hack Offers A Full Game Library On Your NES Classic Edition

@Kalmaro You just can't help yourself...you gotta keep on going and going with this, saying the same crap repeatedly. And it's laughable that you say you aren't telling us what's right or wrong when that's exactly what you've been doing on here! Enough already. You haven't told me anything I didn't already know. Get off your high horse Mr. Perfect!

Re: New Hack Offers A Full Game Library On Your NES Classic Edition

@Kalmaro I am not sure why you insist on telling me the same thing over and over again. I am already aware of the facts. I am already aware that it is illegal. And you and I are already aware that I don't care. No one is going to get caught doing it...the police aren't out there hunting down people who download roms. They don't care either. So relax and do whatever you are comfortable with and I will do the same. As far as I'm concerned there isn't anything else to discuss.

@Kalmaro I know that and I couldn't care less! I've given Nintendo thousands and thousands of dollars over the years and I still will, so is it really terrible if I go play a couple of games that I haven't seen in 30 years and will never be released on the Virtual Console? And has Nintendo made it easy to find an NES Mini? I don't think so. So instead of sitting around and waiting another 30 years....play on!!!

@shani Dude relax, don't get your panties in a bunch. I'm still not sold at all. In my view, this is not a system selling game whatsoever and just another gimmick by the Big N. If you think you'll enjoy the game, then I'm happy for you. We all have our own preferences and are entitled to our opinions.

Re: Soapbox: You're Going To Love ARMS, And Here's Why

Not interested in this at all. Haven't we all done the motion control/boxing thing before? And I really don't care if you can play it without motion controls, still doesn't do anything for me. It just seems like a rehash of a past gimmick to me, and it doesn't look like it will be a system seller.

Re: Poll: A Week On, How Do You Feel About the Nintendo Switch?

eaglesfly76

Still not sold on the Switch. I feel this is the last gasp for Nintendo consoles, but as far as games, all I see is a handful of silly games and rehashes, with a couple of possible good ones. The system also seems too gimmicky to me overall. This has Wii U 2 written all over it, but I hope they prove me wrong!!

Re: Feature: The Big Nintendo Switch Presentation Summary

eaglesfly76

Unfortunately I won't be getting Switch right away. I don't see a strong enough game lineup at launch to justify a purchase. Some of the games seem silly at first (1,2 and Arms) and I can't help but think "Wii U 2". But we will see. I will sit back, watch reactions, read reviews, and wait for a better game library.

These are 4 fantastic games. Rayman Legends is great, but I felt the Murfy levels detracted from the experience and became a chore. It's because of those levels that I actually prefer Origins because I would rather not swipe on the gamepad for a good portion of the game. I'm a huge platformer fan, and the Wii U has been a great system for me. All of these games are must plays for any platformer fan!

@TG1 @RainbowGazelle
Thank you @TG1 for stating what I was about to say. It's easy to change up the controls.
@RainbowGazelle...I never said you weren't allowed to dislike Mario games. What I said was that the controls in Mario games are well known for being tight, and typically cited as examples of games with great controls. Just because you don't like playing Mario games doesn't mean the controls are "god-awful". In any case, it can't hurt to try different methods and maybe you will find one that works best for you.

Re: Mario History: New Super Mario Bros. 2 & U - 2012

@RainbowGazelle
"God-awful controls"? What the heck are you talking about? Some of the games may be repetitive, but you can't say Mario games have bad controls. In fact, they probably have some of the best controls in video game history as Mario games are regularly referenced as top examples of great controls. I can't think of any other games that control as tightly as Mario games do. Trolling much?

Re: Mario History: Super Mario Galaxy 2 - 2010

eaglesfly76

I think one's personal opinion on which Galaxy game is better depends greatly on which one they played first. As with myself, I played Galaxy 2 first and then went back and played Galaxy 1 afterwards. And while I feel both games are among the greatest games ever made, I feel Galaxy 2 is the stronger game. Admittedly, while playing Galaxy 2 before the original, I was absolutely blown away and thought it was the greatest video game I had ever played. Even after going back and playing Galaxy 1 afterward, I still feel the same way. I think 2 built and improved on 1 with better crafted and more interesting levels, the brilliant use of Yoshi, and it was nice to find and play levels quickly due to the map system. I am willing to bet that many of you, like me, were influenced in the same way, whereas the game you played FIRST, whether it was Galaxy 1 or 2, made the biggest impression on you...which turned out to be the lasting one.

Nevertheless, I will always have fond memories of both games. They are without a doubt, the 2 best games I have ever played and I would enthusiastically welcome a Galaxy 3!

Re: E3 2012: Rayman Legends Trailer Looks Glorious in HD

eaglesfly76

Folks, Rayman Origins was truly an incredible game. I think it will be very difficult to follow the masterpiece that it was. I consider Origins to be one of the best platformers of all time, possibly better than anything Mario, and if Legends can come close to that, it will be an achievement. It looks good so far and I hope the single player option doesn't get left in the dust, but time will tell. I can't wait to get my hands on it!

I missed this one when it came out a few years ago, so when I recently saw it at Best Buy for $12, I picked it up. I hafta say, the game is incredibly fun and the visuals are simply amazing. I'm a sucker for a good platformer and this one doesn't disappoint!

Re: Review: Kirby's Epic Yarn (Wii)

eaglesfly76

This was a great game, but the only issue I had with it is that I thought there were way too many sidequests. It seemed to take forever to get through them, there we like 100 of them! And you must do each and every one of them if you want 100% completion. Overall solid and fun game though.

Re: Review: NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits (WiiWare)

eaglesfly76

Finally got around to play this game, and it really is awesome. The puzzles and atmosphere are great. The 3 hour completion time he talks about doesn't seem right though. It's gunna take me about 5 - 6 hours to complete everything including the bonus level.
