Another busy week has passed, whether you've spent it at work, school, college or somewhere else, and now it's time to sit back and chill out over the weekend. For many of us that means taking some time for gaming, either delving into something new or playing an old favourite. We've taken a quick poll of four members of the Nintendo Life team to give you a glimpse of what they'll be playing this weekend.
James Newton — Editor
Landwirtschafts-Simulator 2012 3D — It's a German copy of Farm Simulator 2012 3D received for an upcoming review, oh yes.
Golden Sun: Dark Dawn — A classic DS RPG that may be revisited, though it's been so long that getting lost is real possibility.
Mike Mason — Assistant Editor
Rush Rush Rally Racing — A new version of a Dreamcast title, expected to bring multiplayer mini-car racing fun to WiiWare: the review will reveal all.
Kid Icarus: Uprising — A fairly recent purchase that still has plenty of play time left.
Little King's Story — Falls under the category of a great game that got left due to unforeseen side-tracking: it's more than worthy of a renewed effort.
Thomas Whitehead — Features Editor
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword — A second playthrough has just recently been taken on, and those aware of the unlockable game mode will know that there's a tough journey ahead.
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones — This GBA title is on the 3DS courtesy of the Ambassador Programme; it's still early days in this particular battle.
Resident Evil Revelations — After conquering the standard and 'hell' difficulties, time for an 'easy' playthrough in pursuit of an achievement (no herbs or rocket launchers allowed). Why play the whole campaign for a third time in as many months? Because it's that good.
Corbie Dillard — Downloads Editor
Tales of the Abyss — One of the best the Tales series has to offer and having the ability to take it on the go makes it even better. Of course, the 3D effect doesn't hurt either.
Mutant Mudds — One of the best eShop titles to date and one that no matter how many times you go through it, you just want to do it all over again.
What will you be playing?
So there you have it, the weekend gaming plans of some of the team. What about you? Are your gaming sessions and games of choice already planned, or do you go with your instincts? We'd love to hear about it in the comments below.

I'm working on getting the Hylian Sheild in Skyward Sword before I tackle the final boss. After that I will spend some time with Rayman Origins (PS3) and Paper Mario (VC). My retro selection this weekend will be Greendog the Beached Surfer Dude! for the Sega Genesis. Its a quick and easy beat.
Trying to make my way through Super Mario 64 DS which is becoming more of a hassle than anything. The updated graphics and "fixed" camera angles don't make up for the linear, short, bore that is Super Mario 64. Eh.
And I'm hoping to get my hands on Xenoblade but if not, I'll be playing Twilight Princess. Or nothing at all. lol
Diablo 3 beta and Rhythm Heaven from gamefly
Xenoblade
Rhythm Heaven Fever
I Must Run!
Excitebike: World Rally
(.....and I'm waiting on someone to move in chess.)
Primarily Xenoblade Chronicles, and I've got a few balloons to pop on Pilotwings Resort
Im gonna beat megaman 2 for the hundreth time. Might play Super Metroid some more and hopefully get Call of Duty black ops today.
More retro handheld gaming for me:
kirbys block ball
wario land
zelda-links awakening
and more!
Xenoblade Chronicles definately. I havent beat it yet but I still as soon as I finish these side quest
Ive got to finsih Xenoblade since I'm almost at the end, but afterwards I might plop down with Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance and try it out on my new gameboy micro
The witcher 2 and xenoblade
I'm still knee deep into Kid Icarus Uprising. Also in the early parts of Xenoblade Chronicles! The only other things that will take up my time would be metal gear solid 3d or Tales of the Abyss.
I'm still knee deep into Kid Icarus Uprising. Also in the early parts of Xenoblade Chronicles! The only other things that will take up my time would be metal gear solid 3d or Tales of the Abyss.
Playing the TERA Online beta, will get some Kid Icarus Uprising and Phantasy Star Zero in, too.
Saturday, Its going to be pizza night with C.O.D & MK, then Sunday it will be time for some Monster Hunter Tri and Metroid Trilogy
Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep (Finally gotta hold of a PSP to play it, and it's the only one in the series, in the US, that I haven't played. There are also things in this that are in 3D that I need to know. D:)
And will hopefully be picking up Xenoblade, as well.
Xenoblade Chronicles is my main gaming priority as of right now. There are so many sidequests! I never should've challenged myself to complete them all. It's a really good thing Xenoblade Chronicles is as an enjoyable experience as it is, or I would've given up already.
Burnout paradise and maybe demons souls
BatmanArkham asylum and Beyond Good and evil HD
Awesome choice Thomas Whitehead. TLoZ: Skyward Sword is a gaming masterpiece that completely deserves 100% completion. I actually wish the main game was a longer experience myself. Who knows if Nintendo will take the same artistic direction with their next entry in the series. But by God, I hope so.
Although incredibly late into finishing "Last Story" and "Pandora's Tower", I fear it will be another retro Game Boy / Super Nintendo playing weekend with friends. I should really get on with my JRPG schedule, tough, still halfway into 3DS "Tales of the Abyss".
Fez and Skullgirls on 360 and maybe I will play Mario Kart 7. Have not played MK7 in a good while.
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is probably all I'll play this weekend, but we'll see.
This weekend I hope to finish Fluidity and Star Parodier.
Xenoblade
I'll definitely be playing Fortune Street online this weekend. I'll also have a full-blown Wii party if I go to my cousin's this weekend. I'll also play some 3DS as well.
Kid Icarus Uprising and Mario Kart 7. Love those two games!
Might play more Kid Icarus Uprising on 3DS and download some games on the eShop with the $20 card I have been saving.
The Dark spire for the DS, I´m on floor 6 and it´s starting to get really rough.
Panzer Corps (PC), great game if you like "beer & pretzel" tactical wargaming.
Wii: Pandora's Tower - Hope to beat another dungeon or two.
WiiWare: Probably another good party session with friends on 5 Spots Party, TV Show King 2, MotoHeroz or Driift Mania. I hope to get some points for Rush Rush Rally Racing tomorrow as well.
DS: WarioWare D.I.Y. - Still working on my own microgame.
Tonight I shall be trying to top my mates score on Sine Mora (XBLA). I will do it!!!!...I will......
I was thinking of having a lil MarioKart7 session this weekend too (it's been a while)
And if I can squeeze it in , a little bit of Skyrim for good measure.
Good times.
Enjoy your gaming folks!
Just downloaded VT4 for Vita so i'll try that out. Continue some more on Ace Combat for the 3ds. All while trying to maintain all my sims for android. Yep, pretty relaxed gaming weekend for me.
making my way through Battle Kid with decent progress...
Battlefield 3
Skyward Sword
Pokemon Black
Sonic Generations (not the 3DS version)
I'll have to buy Kid Icarus: Uprising sometime too.
Definitely Xenoblade.
I'm happily enjoying Xenoblade chronicles... awesome experience so far!!!
For me I'm playing Trials Evolution, Fez, and Phoenix Wright: Justice For All. I also just downloaded Project M!
I imagine I'll mostly play The House Of The Dead 4 on PS3 this weekend. And maybe a little bit of Wario Land 1.
I'm going to play Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy and Kid Icarus: Uprising.
I'm finishing Kid Icarus Uprising this weekend
Xenoblade
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
I'm probably going to finish up Mass Effect 3 this weekend. I usually do multiplayer games with my friends over the weekend but with 4/20 falling on a Friday this year most of my friends are going to be in a stupor until Monday morning.
Kid Icarus: Uprising
Mario Party 9
Kirby's Return to Dream Land.
By the way... I MUST HAVE one of those Nintendo Life T-shirts. Are they available for sale anywhere?
Playing through 3D Classics: Kid Icarus. Also got to finish my Tanooki Mario drawing in Colors! 3D.
Xenoblade will get the bulk of my time. Will do some Windwaker on the 'cube in the man-cave if the wife kicks me off the main TV. (I think she's getting annoyed by "what a bunch of jokers.")
Tales of the Abyss, Legend of Zelda, and Zen Pinball will get a few minutes of attention this weekend too.
Second playtrough in MGS3D and little bit of Kid Icarus multiplayer action.
@James Me too. Got to break that game out again.
Uprising and Mario Land 3d both I got on my birthday!
Imma play mah old Game Cube games, like Pikmin 2 and Paper Mario, just because
I just picked up Xenoblade Chronicles earlier this week, but I haven't gotten any time to sink my teeth into it. That'll be most of the weekend. Otherwise, I'll try beating Dillon's Rolling Western.
KIU, MM, DRW, MK7, maybe MKW, SMG2, and SSBB
mario kart 7 (getting my last 3 stars) hoping of getting tetris 3ds for my birthday
This weekend, probably Metroid Prime.
This summer (my college semester ends in a few weeks) we'll be a huge Zelda-thon. Should I go chronologically or just pick and choose?
Ahh The Little King's Story, I was about to finish the game but had to stop because I had to return it >< Got it again but only started it but never continued, which I should soon :3
Playing the 2 games I've been playing for a while, The World Ends With You and Xenoblade: Chronicles.
Xenoblade Chronicles with a side of Kid Icarus
magnetica on DS for me. not sure what else yet.
Ratchet & Clank 2: Going Commando for PS2 and perhaps a little Final Fantasy 4: Interlude for PSP. Hm, I need to get something to play on a Nintendo console... Perhaps I'll start Pandora's Tower when I'm done with Ratchet & Clank.
Well, everything comes second to my music. But I do have games I am working on at the moment. I am still working on Kid Icarus: Uprising (trying to get better weapons, get all the pieces to the picture and such). I just bought Kid Icarus: 3D Classics, and have yet to try that out. Just a few days ago I bought this amazing and unique Adventure Game/Interactive story called Dear Esther, and I need to play through that again. I also bought SimCity 4 a few weeks ago (since I heard about the new SimCity coming out, so I thought I'd catch up). I also recently got Rayman Origins since it was on sale, so I am also working through that slowly.
Then there is always just classic games like SMB 3, Yoshi's Island, and other stuff if I want something quick to play for a minute like Zen Pinball, Kirby, Quix, and such.
Still on Kid Icarus: Uprising, and for the foreseeable future. Trying to finish Palutena's Treasure Hunt, acquire missing powers (already got every weapon), and get some better weapons in the 300 range.
But, even Uprising is secondary to the MLP: FiM season finale Royal Wedding on Saturday! William & Kate, eat your hearts out!!!
This weekend I will be playing....

Mario Kart 7
Super Mario 3D Land
Donkey Kong 64
Sonic Generations (3DS)

Lately, I've been playing Arkham City and The 3rd Birthday.
I guess not everyone at NintendoLife is in that picture cuz I think TBD is female. Are you in England?
Minecraft and maybe some Skyward Sword. I'm at the fight with Demise I just haven't bothered to beat him. Oh, and some Kid Icarus Uprising! Can't forget about that great game...
Sonic Mega Collection
Sonic Gems Collection
Wii Fit Plus
Kid Icarus: Uprising and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Can't go wrong with those two I say!
DIABLO 3 FREE BETA TRIAL WEEKEND WOOOOOT
Black Ops of course
I'm going to try and tackle Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen (DS) again. I might also play some NES Ambassador Titles, GBA Ambassador Titles, and 007 Agent Under Fire (GCN). I need to get back to Monster Hunter Tri (Wii), but I've been away from DQIV:CotC for longer.
Possibly Mario Bros on 3DS. Maybe 3D land.
Likely KIU, Mario Kart 7, and who knows what else, I've already put two hours in Dragon Quest 8
Currently replaying Metroid Prine via the Trilogy on Wii. Just got the Grapple Beam in Phazon Mines.
Also enjoying Colors! 3D.
A Boy and His Blob [Wii]. I think I'm about 95% done right now. Once I finish that I'll be beating Donkey Kong Country 2 for the umpteenth time.
Heh, the unlockable mode on skyward sword was easy.
This should be a regular talking point every couple weekends
I haven't played a thing in about two weeks now. I might play Xenoblade later but I dunno.
xenoblade
I will be playing Kid Icarus Uprising. Will also probably play Pro Evo with my friend, and give the Pyramids demo a go.

-Super Monkey ball 1 & 2 (GCN)
-Super monkey ball deluxe (PS2)
-Cubivore (GCN)
-Megaman the Willy wars (Genesis)
I don't know why, but I don't find interest in playing all these new games recently...
I'll stick to Kid Icarus, Mario Power Tennis, and BurgerTime GB. And maybe Ketzal's Corridors, but I've beaten the story and I've trying too hard for gold medals at each stage. It then came to me... it's impossible.
I just downloaded MotoHeroz off WiiWare and am playing it for the first time (I'm a little late, I know) and IT. IS. AMAZING. I'll probably be on this one game all weekend, haha.
Been randomly crazy addicted to Pokemon White. Training and trading like crazy!

I think for most of us Americans its Xenoblade. I personally will be playing Xenoblade, Xenoblade and more Xenoblade.
I will be trying to finish some of my GBA Ambassador Games.
@ScreamoPichu I'm playing through Birth By Sleep as well! I finished Ventus' story, and I plan to finish Terra's, and start on Aqua's by the end of the weekend. It's really cool how the story beings to make more and more sense as you play the other character's stories. It's a really fantastic game.
Loving excitebike, go for it, it's very worth it, especially in the online mode.
I'm playing that and I just got Tomen Nassaner and Pearl harbor trilogy to play when I have editing breaks all weekend.
also have Black ops from the game rental service but I'm trying not to touch it, it's such a time waster online.
Anyone suggest a really good WiiWare adventure I might not have tried? I want a good adventure to play (played cavestory already).

I just played a little of Oregon Trail on my Wii. I got it from the library. It's not that interesting.
@3DSonicPizza
I definitely do! I found a chick who thinks date night means baseball, beer, and video games. No complaints here. Ha.
@ren
Awesome. I'm definitely going to download it. I tried tonight but the ClubNintendo site has been under maintenance for the third straight evening. And I agree with your other post. NL should do this weekly. I've also enjoyed reading all the posts.
Just finished Strider VC and Shinobi 3DS VC today gonna get stuck into Resi Evil Raid mode later on almost at level 50.
Later today, I'm playing A LOT of Animal Crossing: City Folk! Will try to play some Xenoblade today and tomorrow too. OH and gotta check on my AC: Wild World town this weekend too. So ya, Animal Crossing and Xenoblade this weekend!!!
I'm playing Radiant Historia it's an amazing RPG it's just sometimes I feel like they didn't put that much effort or thought into the battle system, an example is how Raynie is a spellcaster but she has REALLY low MP (did anyone else notice that)
Resident Evil Revelations 'Hell' mode, MK7 and Pokemon SS. I mostly prefer handheld games these days =)
3D Classics Kid Icarus
Kid Icarus Uprising
Resident Evil Revelations
Zelda OOT 3D
yay, I'm falling behind on my gaming and need to catch up lol. I agree with EvilLink, I have a PS3 and NEVER PLAY IT, but my 3DS is all I ever play anymore. Time to sell the PS3...
Just finished Skyward Sword this morning and started up Xenoblade. Will continue on Ocarina of Time on 3DS and Resident Evil Revelations
i will be trying to finish SMT: Strange Journey so the demon apocalypse can begin. then i will try to play some xenoblade; about 3/4 of the way through. and i will throw some TvC and now that everybody is mentioning it some Monster Hunter Tri in there. Or i wont finish strange journey and play nothing else

I'm see a lot of people are playing Xenoblade and Skyward Sword.
Torchlight, maybe a little of Cthulhu saves the World and I may finish Braid and/or Limbo.
I was thinking on playing a RE: Umbrella Chronicles a bit but I'll probably end up not playing the Wii for a third week in a row. DS might get lucky, Dragon Quest VI is calling me persistently since yesterday...
I'm hoping I'll have time to get back into Minecraft this weekend.
Resistance 2, odin sphere, and need to finish super adventure island 2.
Working my way through NyxQuest Kindred Spirits, awesome game folks, check it out.
