I think i will play Super Mario Odyssey and Wargroove. I have just finished Tomb Raider Definitive Edition on Xbox One and need to play something less demanding and nerve wracking 😉 hm. I now remember that some of the later worlds in Oyssey are also nerve wracking and demanding...
I will be playing Mario Tennis Aces, Octopath Travellers, Axiom Verge, Hollow Knight, Dead Cells and Dragon Quest Builders. Not in that order. Not every game with equal time spent. In Mario Tennis maybe only one match. In Dead Cells until I die. Hollow Knight maybe an hour. Axiom Verge until i find a new save point. Octopath Traveller, well, i might forget the time. And Dragon Quest Builders only for one Quest, maybe the next one, it can't be too bad to finish a third one, and then another one... and another one ...
Oh no! It's... it's... it's just another boring bureau complex. Maybe the Princess is in another castle Another thought of me was: Now that you have a new Development Complex start building those great Wii U Games immediately.
What was old is new again - and in what funny ways! I love it, when companies like Nintendo respect their heritage but don't take it too serious. A SNES Version would be a nice follow-up, he, Big N?
Oh dear, Microsoft. I can play games from 5 console generations on my Wii. Nintendo - and the other companies involved in the virtual console eco system - are not only in for easy money. Systems like the virtual console are a chance to provide access to "old" games which are often important steps in the history of video game consoles. I would't have the chance to play some of these games without this option. What about you, Microsoft? Well, of course, you might don't have a legacy like Sega, Nintendo, Capcom or Konami ...
"F-Zero" was the first game i saw on the SNES where i worked when the system was released in Germany. I was a die hard Sega fan till that moment, but this racer won me over for Nintendos new console.
No more "Mario! Mario?", no goofy Luigi-action as a substitute for his missing brother. Here Luigi can show his real talents as a ghost chaser, puzzle solver, comedian and action hero. "Dark Moon" is bigger, better and harder as its prequel. It may look like a comic version of "Resident Evil" but it easily stands as one of the best 3DS games i have seen so far.
Lego Batman 2 PS3 > 22th june 2012, for the Wii 29th of june. Lego Lord of the Rings PS3 > 23th november 2012, for the Wii 30th november 2012. Both dates verified on amazon.de. Seems to be a pattern in recent releases by WB for Nintendo Wii systems. The 3DS versions have been released the same day as all other versions.
I got it for 20 € today. It is an easy to understand game for a younger audience - and for the young at heart! The graphic style is unique, the controls are really easy to understand and very responsive. And the gameplay is a blast. Fresh ideas, cute "monsters" and foes and a game world which is to be played with and invites one to explore it. I totally agree with Corbie, its a 10 for sure.
The big fish like EA, Ubi, Sony, Nintendo tend to invest more and more in safe projects. The retailers try to "bet" on those games. And, really, sometimes it seems to be like betting. Who had thought that a top game like sim city would struggle so much while a game like "farm simulator" sells so good? The gaming market is really unpredictable nowadays. There are a few games like FiFa, "Call of Duty"- or "Mario"-titles which will sell always in high numbers. But for any AAA-title with high sales numbers comes another which sells inexplicable low numbers.
Kickstarter might seem like a way out of that dilemma. On the one hand we see games, which wouldn't stand any chance in finding a publisher. Traditional RPGs like "Torment", "Project Eternity" might have never found a publisher for being so "old school". Small publisher or "one man shows" might never get the money to start, even if they had great ideas. BUT, and that is the great BUT for me: How much of the games will be published on which platforms? I gladly pay on gog.com or steam for those mentioned rpgs. I will happily invest my money on the eshop for games like "The 90s Arcade Racer". But i fear that there are a lot of kickstarter projects without a solid business plan, programmers without experience and ideas not really thought through. What worries me most about kickstarter is, that a lot of promising project will just vanish because talented but inexperienced programmers, designers, musicians, writers just couldn't get the project done because they where overwhelmed by creating, self-promoting and self-publishing they're games. I hope that Nintendo will help the relevant kickstarter projects for Wii U and 3DS in whichever ways they could. Having indie game programmers coming up with new and fresh ideas is - imho - a much needed thing for the whole gaming industry. But they must be helped by big publishers, in promoting the games and putting them on the platforms to sale. There is a big big windows of opportunities for Nintendo here, it hope they will open it.
I will miss the cat on the news channel. Luckily the one in the photo channel stays. They even have names! See http://www.thetanooki.com/2007/04/03/wii-channel-cats-have-names/. I think we should force Nintendo to give them both they're rightful place on the Wii U, after serving us so many years without complaining. Maybe Mr. Myamoto will come up with an idea for a game with them both? 😉
And now for something completely different: I hope - are you listening, Nintendo? - that there will be a replacement for the nintendo channel. Not only a youtube channel, no no no. It must be more Nintendo, more news, more direct, more fun to watch. Maybe something from fans and customers to the fans and costumers. Think about it - i guess there are many good websites and fans who would help you immediately.
I ownd this game for my Mega Drive. It is a nice jump and run, with charming graphics, not to easy, not to hard. Next to "Aladdin", "Quackshot" and "World of Illusion" fondly remembered for its quality and replay-value. A lot of licensed Disney games during the 8/16-bit era were really well crafted, compared to a lot of crap we get today.
I am looking forward to a re-release on virtual console and as a remake. As for "Ducktales", which i could never play. I think, one is never to old for a funny, entertaining jump'n'run 😄
I am a proud Wii U owner since one week. Which give me the choice from a few good games right now, like "Batman" or "Darksiders 2". Future buys will be: "Wind Waker", "Pikmin 3", "Ducktales", "Deus Ex", "Resident Evil Revelations". And then there is the rumored "Mario Kart Wii U"...
I struggle to see anything amazing coming from Peter Molyneux these days. What was the last really great game his companies made? Fable 1 at Lionhead? Maybe the second part of the series? Or was it with Bullfrog? Populous 1 and 2, Themepark, Syndicate, those where great games back in the days. What are you doing today Mr. Molyneux? Ah, a game for mobile phones and tablets, called "Curiosity" which right at the moment i am writing this is having difficulties with its online servers acording to pc gamer's website (www.pcgamer.com/2012/11/09/curiosity-pc-22cans) . Just read this review at toucharcade about it: http://toucharcade.com/2012/11/06/curiosity-whats-inside-the-cube-review. Amazing, isn't it?
Instead of pointing at Microsoft or Nintendo you should get your act together and give us games which are true to the genius Bullfrog had shown in the ATARI ST and AMIGA days. How about a Populous on the Wii U, playable by 2 gamers, one on the great screen, the other on on the tablet? Or a new Themepark which includes vital information about my park on the small gamepad screen while giving me the grand picture of my amusement park on the Television? Oh, Mr. Molyneux, there are plenty of possibilities, one only has just to imagine them. Oi, another idea: A Dungeon Keeper for Wii U! While up to 4 players try to conquer the dungeon the fifth must place traps and monsters on the gamepad screen. That would be fun, teasing my friends with dungeons full of traps and dragons full of fire. Just imagine it, Peter, just imagine it.
To my full surprise Father Christmas gave me a Gamecube with the Gameboy Player included. Said something about" told your friends months ago" and went away... Now i can finally play my beloved GBA classics on the big screen
This is not the best Mario Kart, i think. That title belongs still to the first one on the SNES which created a whole new genre of games. Mario Kart 64 isn't even the best fun racer of his generation, that is in my eyes Diddy Kong Racing. But: Mario Kart 64 is a very well crafted multiplayer-title, is as fun to play these days as it was years ago.
This is it: The one, only, true classic SEGA game which was reason enough to buy a Mega Drive. There was sure more to follow - but imho "Sonic the Hedgehog" is one of the greatest console games of all times and still is as much entertaining as it was then. It is a shame, that only the 2D-titles on GBA and DS could share the quality of the Mega Drive/Genesis Sonic-games. Forget about most of the 3D-crap I hope and wish, that SEGA will bring a new Sonic-game for WiiWare. What worked so good with Mega Man should be no problem for our fast hedgehog friend.
I can not remember if i played it all those years ago on an Amiga or an Atari ST. But still it is one of my all time-beloved plat-formers. I remember playing it about 20 years ago (or so, i am getting old ) with a girlfriend. We had hours of fun with this first co-op-game i ever played. Now and then i am playing a few levels with this NES version and still can't get the music out of my head for hours.

I will continue my journey through "Legend of Zelda - Skyward Sword", play some "Bayonetta" and a little bit "Elder Scrolls Online" on my PC.

I am continuing my playthrough of "Skyward Sword" with a lot of Instragram pictures, will play a litte bit of "Bayonetta" and maybe some "Splatoon 2".
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend?
Splatoon 2 — its splatfest in Europe and I want to be part of it this weekend. Maybe a bit Tomb Raider on PSone, or Metroid Prime on Wii.

Thanks for the hint about the free tables, darkswabber 😊

Skyrim and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Perhaps a little bit Super Mario World and Yoshis Island on my SNES Mini.
