@Acarie It's not my job to put myself in Comcept's shoes. They're paid professionals not a single mother or a child to be coddled. Nintendo doesn't ask for direct funding from fans, they don't repeatedly delay a project or wait until a month before the intended release date to delay it(curiously right after their previous kickstarter attempt bombed), and no one is expecting "Nintendo quality" out of Comcept. We're expecting Shovel Knight, FTL, Wasteland, and Divinity quality out of Comcept. Not too tall an order I reckon for a Kickstarter that was asking for $900,000 and got 4 mill.
"I personally love when my strategy games put less emphasis on the actual strategic elements and more on the throw away affinity system and town building.", said no Fire Emblem fan ever.
@TobiasAmaranth Unless the game has pointless jumpscares or is a "survival" game that looks like a Generation 6 game I can't see word-of-mouth doing it any favors. It certainly doesn't work for Platinum. That said, I hope more developers take the Japanese voices only approach. It cuts costs and we get the game in our region. I'm lookin' at you Tales of Hearts R. /blowkiss
With Disgaea 5, DQ Heroes, Tales of Zestiria, and Yoshi coming out in October this game has very little priority for me and I question if it's worth buying since it will likely just end up in my backlog indefinitely. It's a shame they can't make September anymore, because this game just won't do well going up against the stuff coming out in October and Holiday season. Seems doomed to poor sales D:. At best the game will be another example of "Amazing game that sold poorly" otherwise known as "Platinumitis" or more colloquially as "the Kamiya infection".
A count of all the fanservice in one episode of the anime which is about 22mins long as provided by Kotaku. Boob Bounces: 49 Strippings: 1 Panty Shots: 19 Breast Gropings: 4 Putting Phallic-like Objects in Mouth: 9 Objects Stored in Cleavage: 2 http://kotaku.com/senran-kagura-is-the-most-embarrassing-anime-i-have-eve-493251737 This might be useful for someone who is curious just how much fan service and what kinds of fan service this game and other Tamsoft games will likely have.
Caeda...what have they done to you? You used to be a strong, fearless, moderately proportioned warrior who was willing to put your life on the line to protect Marth and now you are the demure Onee-san with the big boo boos. Redemption is only possible if the Demi-Fiend makes an appearance at some point in the future.
My initial reaction to Blastball during the NWC was the same I had to that stupid submarine game and Rusty's Real Deal baseball. The reaction being, "This is friggin' stupid." Then they tacked the Metroid brand onto it and I wasn't happy. I thought the game was fugly during the NWC and now it's fugly, stupid, and ultimately pointless. I won't fault people for being angry, disappointed, or for liking it; I've only played and completed 1,2, and Super, but the rest are in my backlog and I was not exactly pleased. Oh well, one less game for me to worry about buying. Though I will say that first impressions in this business are everything and not alienating fans of a franchise or insulting them is very important or you end up having your game flop like a 600lb. man in a swimming pool e.g. DMC. Well, DMC had a Donte what nickname should we give to the totally not Samus character.
Not sure what made me more upset a Metroid game that's not even a Metroid game or the fact that they put it on the fugly 3DS. Graphics may not be everything, because art style usually supercedes, but this game is just down right ugly on 3DS and the thought that this spin off is somehow expanding the universe of the Metroid series is absolute garbage. Just standard damage control lip service.
@A01 Different strokes for different folks as they say, but at least this E3 seems to be showing something for everybody as opposed to the last couple of years. Yeesh dark times.
First Yooka-Laylee, then Bloodstained, and now Shenmue 3 has also reached it's 2,000,000 mark with 31 days to go. What a damn fine year for Kickstarter. I hope all three games are absolutely amazing.
I really enjoyed the event and the Earthbound reveal coupled with Mario Maker started to get my hype train moving. I'm still riding on a high from the Sony event and hope that Nintendo continues to keep my hype train rolling with their digital event.

@Geonjaha That's the concern isn't it. Blizzard faced consistent copyright BS, whether it was justified or otherwise, because of custom maps. That's why they replaced them with the SC2 Arcade, easier to police and such. Even if the game is done with the vanilla version of Minecraft and distributed for free it is still treading on a Nintendo registered trademark. That puts Microsoft at risk and companies typically don't like to leave their neck exposed, but really it's not like I have an investment one way or the other. Just found the topic interesting as it mirrors SC days and I wonder what this means for Minecraft's future let alone MC2. If such a game will ever exist.
@Blastcorp64 Since they're not stamped with the Super Soaker logo anywhere I think they'll be fine.
I wonder how much longer these types of mods will continue until Microsoft is forced to deal with these mods that infringe on copyrights as blatantly as most Minecraft mods do. I imagine it'll be another SC2 arcade situation.
Given the things I shout when I end up with dead weight teammates in ranked I can't say I miss it. Then I use skype when I play with friends, so I can't say I'm all that inconvenienced.
The salt is too real sometimes when I play this mode. The mode itself is a lot of fun. More emphasis on the splatting and balancing spreading ink in places outside of the designated zone to build up special gauge makes sure the ink mechanics aren't wasted. All around fun to play.
