@element187 thats exactly what 3rd parties want. Both sony and microsoft are guilty of throwing money at 3rd parties, cause thats what they need to survive. They havent got the vast amount of ip exclusives that cab hold them up for 5-6 years like nintendo does

i love how this discussion is filled with people saying how its nintendos fault a certain 3rd party game didn't sell on a console. Wake up people. you have no one but yourselves to blame when it comes to third party support. You want the support? Buy their games. Simple as that. Saying that though the last few castlevania games have been turds, and you can't polish a turd.

maybe if half of you stopped going back and checking every 5 mins to see if the shop was working and let nintendo fix the problems without flooding them with traffic constantly they might fix it faster. find something else to do until they specifically tell you everything is all good

Obviously we'll get mario kart and donkey kong info for the wii u plus kirby and yoshis new island info for the 3DS, those are a given. Probably get Golf for Wii Sports Club.

If we're lucky we'll get some updates on any of the following: Bayonetta 2, Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, X, Smash and Yarn Yoshi. Maybe find out when the hell N64 and GBA games will show up. And maybe even a new Wii U game reveal, since the last few 3DS directs have launched new games. I doubt it, but crazier things have happened. Not gonna get hyped.

Whats NOT gonna be shown or announced: Metroid, Zelda, F-Zero, Starfox.

The first steps to shared accounts with everything tied to it. Better Nintendo take this in baby steps like this then screw it all up in one massive update. Will update my 3DS and link it to my Wii U this weekend when the hype dies down and the servers can take it. Still, mario games have long legs. Did the galaxy games sell 7million copies in the first week? Of course not. They sell through out the life cycle. Though if you all really want to sit and waste your time worrying wait until after christmas when we have europe, america and the rest of the worlds sales figures. Gamers need to start caring about the games again, no matter what console their on instead of how "well" they do. If you like a console and it has games you've enojoyed playing then who cares how it sells. Its not your job to worry or care

my god look at all the people complaining. if you want to contact your friends, how about you pick up the phone and call them, message them, send an email, write a letter or contact them in one of the other thousand ways there are in todays society. good on nintendo for sticking up on what they believe. cause you just know at some point the wrong parent would catch on to what was going on, kick up a fuss the the media would be all over nintendo. besides, miiverse shouldn't be to far away if you all HAVE to contact people by your 3DS rolls eyes

Calm down guys, they wont drop support for the WIi U, it'll have at least a 5 year cycle, they may not win the generation again but who really cares about trivial stuff like that.

You all still seem surprised by this. Console gaming is on the way out in japan. The ps4 and xbone will have the same problem over there. But lets face it, which japanese console owner would be playing a game like rayman right now when they have monster hunter and pokemon? Ubisoft is having a terrible year as it is, and i don't see things changing with AC4. Oh well, dont delay a finished game next time and you might come out on top

I think its quite simple why the Wii U VC is kinda bad at the moment. Lower then expected sales of the console. Nintendo probably feels that they should hold back on those NES/ SNES games we'll all buy or upgrade to until theres a substantial number of console owners. As the console continues to rise they'll start giving us those bigger name games and add N64 GBA and a lot more formats to the roster.

I do think its about time they get the cross play sorted out and unified accounts. I'm on the fence about the pricing though. Would I like them to be cheaper? Sure. Do I want them to make money on the product since they are spending it to optimise the games plus sever space? Yes I do. There must be a sweet spot their somewhere. And i doubt its $6 or $11 Australian per game

And it begins. Chirstmas will be huge for Nintendo. Such a shame about Wonderful 101. Its by far the most original/fun game the Wii U has. I recommend it to everyone I know that has a Wii U. Seems to be following the usual Platinum games scenario, great games that don't sell.

This holiday season should be a good one for Nintendo. The 3DS will keep chugging along without the help of ads (hell pokemon pretty much guarantees that) so time to pull your finger out Nintendo and start advertise that great Wii U you have. At least here in Australia, the PS4 is already sold out till January I've heard from stores like JBHIFI, and lets face it no one wants a Xbone, so its the perfect time to assault the general public with ads.

Are people really still beating the Galexy 3 drum? Anyway, game looks like its gonna be awesome. Watch all the people demand a sequal when Nintendo goes a different direction for the next mainline mario game and kick up a hissy fit "cause its not 3D world 2"

Smart move. We get a more polished game and a release drought is avoided since there was nothing coming until mario kart in march/april/may. The holidays seasons was already jammed packed anyway.

And to all those whinging they didnt get what they wanted for the direct, things obviously werent ready to be announced. Would it kill you to have some paitence? Great update. How is no one talking about the fact you can now play your wii virtual console games on the gamepad? No longer need to update your virtual console games, unless you really want miiverse integration.

Didn't take long for people to start moaning over how its apparently not the big update because they didn't get a feature they want, but then again, I shouldn't be surprised
