@Dang69 Yes, unfortunately the photo shoots and campsite only work with the non-special Animal Crossing amiibo cards. However, if you check your kiosk at Resident Services, you should be able to purchase posters of the special characters you're scanning.
@HappyMaskedGuy Fair enough! In fact, after hearing so much about how awesome they are, I can officially say I am a fan of them as well, and shall never jokingly refer to them as seagulls again.
@HappyMaskedGuy Bahaha I knew someone would be upset about that. It was meant sarcastically. However, at the time of writing, I had no idea how popular cormorants actually are with people...
@Do-_One When my little brother was in the children’s hospital for about a year, he found videogames to be a great tool to help him get through it. Hopefully someday your son also finds joy in gaming! (not sure how old he is - maybe he already does)
@Folkloner Yes, this would have been a great question to ask - unfortunately, the Q&A was conducted before even the North American release of the game, so there was no way to ask any questions related to gameplay or the performance of the game.
@c2017nlifemedia Currently halfway through the chapters - trying to savor the story as much as possible, as this game was more of a personal purchase that I helped out with reviewing. Reviews aren’t generally my main focus.
@Tops I appreciate the feedback, and you make some great points.
To answer your question: from what I'd read and seen about this game beforehand, my initial reaction was that it was overpriced from a business standpoint. However, as a fan of Wada and his games, the price isn't something I'm very concerned about. Additionally, because this game isn't very well known, it's my assumption that many of the people who are actively researching it may feel the same - they're interested in the style of game, and the creator behind it. Lastly, although flawed, it is unique, and will likely open the door to a new style of games. This is why I gave it a score of 7/10 - I took into consideration the core audience of interest, rather than the general population.
However, my score was originally going to be lower. If it were priced differently, this could mitigate the disconnect users are seeing between cost and technical performance, which is preventing many of them from purchasing the game.
I could have included more detail in the review - and I appreciate when some reviews for other styles of games do go into detail. However, for this game, I preferred to give more of an overview, and point out enough of the main pros and cons to help someone decide for themselves whether or not to play it. With a narrative game such as this, the core details are more in the storyline (much of the rest of the gameplay is just repetitive actions - as with many sim games), so including too much detail about the storyline would simply spoil it for those who enjoy that experience. I'd prefer to allow the player to experience the story for themselves, and wrote in the way I would prefer to read a review about this specific style of game. But I definitely understand why that's not the ideal format for everyone, and I will certainly take your feedback into consideration next time.
Thank you for being so engaged in the content we produce - it really is important to have constructive feedback, and I can tell you're passionate about this. It's much appreciated.
@Sakura This is a fantastic idea. And yes, unfortunately the dog variety of toys tend to require a little more... durability lol. But I'm gonna go for it!
@mazzel It’s these damn kids and their rock & roll, they’ve blown their eardrums out (in my case, literally - I neglected to wear earplugs in the snake pit at a Metallica concert)...
@mazzel Yeah no - you’re totally right. I think their thought is that it might be more advantageous for these types of games, but who knows. I don’t design the headsets, I just write about them 😂
@mazzel A big part of it is the sound quality and clarity - including large speakers & high-sensitivity mics. Those things have a huge impact on your ability to win in Battle Royale games.
@EVIL-C See @SethNintendo's response - explains it well:
"You can buy OTC shares from sites like Fidelity. Right now OTC shares are hovering at 52.90.
You could buy off the Tokyo Stock market but the current stock price on for Nintendo is 46170 yen which is 423 US dollars per share. I believe you have to buy at least 500 shares when investing on Nikkei also so it cuts out a lot of small time investors since your initial investment would have to be at least 211,500 dollars to invest in Nintendo on the Tokyo Stock market. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong but remember reading about the problems in investing directly through an article about some investors wanting Nintendo to split so more people can invest in Japan.
So basically your best bet is to buy NTDOY (OTC) which you can buy a lot of shares or just 1 share if you so desire."

@Kimyonaakuma Nope, you'll be sent back to that island's dock, but not your own island. You essentially get unlimited tries.

@EVIL-C It refers to stock that’s traded “over the counter” - meaning it doesn’t trade on a major stock exchange.
