Re: Talking Point: E3 Exposed the Strains of Nintendo's Development Workload

@Lasermaster123 "Its going to have around 1500 employees which is pretty large for a development studio considering Retro has only 120+ish people."

I followed some of your links and I'm not entirely clear how many of those 1500 will actually be new employees, as opposed to relocating existing teams into a new facility. This URL suggests that it's a new building rather than a new development team:

Re: Amiga Classic Putty Squad Morphing Its Way To The Wii U And 3DS

VERY VERY VERY VERY EXCITED!!!!!

The original was actually completed for the Amiga, but then never released! It was even reviewed and got loads of 90%+ scores, and there were magazine demos and everything.

However it was converted to the SNES.

(But it's still a bone of contention in the Amiga emulation/retro community that System 3 continue to refuse to release the completed Amiga version).

EDIT: Sorry, you could have learnt most of that by watching the video... Hey, I wonder if they'd consider releasing the SNES version on VC?

Re: Splinter Cell Blacklist Sneaks Onto Wii U in August

@rjejr My guess is that for the first year or two after the PS4 and NextBox launch, a lot of games will also be ported to the Xbox 360 and PS3, and I think the Wii U will get a lot of them as well.

After that time, we'll probably only get ports of the really big-name games, e.g. the CoDs and FIFAs of this world...

@FluttershyGuy According to ABC News in the US, "Scott Moffitt, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Nintendo, said that in addition to Wii discs being backwards-compatible on the new Wii U, digital game collections purchased over the Wii Virtual Console will also be transferable over to the Wii U"

and further:

"Moffitt said that there will be a bit of restructuring of how their login IDs/accounts work with the Wii U; he told us, “You will have an individual account based system. Each member of your family might have their own account.” "
