I refuse to spend $50 on a $40 game, counting for inflation, that I already own on PS3. Even with whatever Rockstar's version of a remaster is and 60 FPS, I still couldn't justify wasting that much money on this game. And this is just a port.
@Arehexes Digital games have the same risks, basically, but with no option to recover them. If you're banned, you lose everything you paid for. If they decide to shut down servers and access to these games, you lose it all. Hardware can fixed, something intangible that you don't even purely own cannot.
@Chrysologus They'll last a helluva a lot longer than digital games you have no control over. At the very least, you'll have day one versions of modern games. And I can still play any older game I own, too. PS2's, PS1's, N64s, GameBoy's, etc all still work.
@Vyacheslav333 This surprises me, since I bought and returned MK11 I figured the Switch couldn't handle much more than Mario, Fire Emblem, and Pokémon and that those bigger games just wouldn't run well, so I never looked into buying any.
@Vyacheslav333 I don't see how, when it can't run MK11 at more than 10 FPS and that isn't even an open-world game. Even Pokémon SWSH and Violet/Scarlet have massive frame drops in some areas.
@TheBigK I still haven't figured it out, either. I hate when they change things that really didn't need to be changed, the daycare was so much easier. It definitely takes longer, too, so I might just skip shiny hunting altogether this gen and go back to SWSH for it.
I don't get how this works, is it a movement thing, like before with the steps, or do you have to keep making sandwhiches and stuff to make eggs ? I got one, but can't seem to get anymore. This takes a lot longer than the daycare did.
It would definitely make streaming easier, not getting copyright claimed every 10 seconds. As long as there's still music in the games, I see no problem dropping licensing. The originally composed music in games like TLOU and Spider-Man is amazing. Rockstar has stopped licensing more and more songs in San Andreas every re-release.
For me, it's gotta be Lavender Town in Pokémon Red & Blue, the regular stage music in Super Mario Galaxy, and the "Low health" music in Pokémon Black & White.

Re: Video: Red Dead Redemption Side-By-Side Graphics Comparison (Switch & Xbox 360)
@wild_lil_horse Does the Switch even run at 1080p ? Every game looks like ***** on my TV and even worse in handheld mode.

Why is everyone freaking out over digital games, which by no means are guaranteed to be yours forever, when physical copies exist ?

The fact that anyone likes Morgana at all is honestly surprising. He annoys tf outta me.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Switch Ports We'd Love To See In 2023
@Savage_Joe It would never be able to run on Switch. MK11 barely works.
Re: Feature: Nintendo Switch Ports We'd Love To See In 2023
It can't run Mortal Kombat 11 any higher than like 10 FPS, I highly doubt it would be able to run GTA V.

Re: Random: Move Over Apple, You Can Run Mac OS On The Wii
What's the point of this, though ? I can't think of a reason to use Mac OS on a regular day, but on a Wii ?
Re: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: How To Breed Pokémon
@FizzieSpider That hasn't worked for me so far, I keep getting surprised. Maybe my game is bugged, I've had a few other issues, as well.

@Vertigoat Not from what I've seen, Ditto neither. I think it might just be randomized in certain areas.
