So gutted we never got a physical release in Europe. I wrote to Capcom Europe and expressed my dismay that I can't own a physical copy of the Darkstalkers games on a Nintendo console. Kind of made sense to have the Arcade Stadia digital only but to have a physical release of this and that might've helped with cannibalisation of sales but alas they never did. Loved the art on the bundle with SF 30th Anniversary Collection too but couldn't bring myself to pay Play-Asia prices
This is a superb idea and an excellent list. My only suggestion for the period you've struggled to cover is Tank as both Combat and Quadratank in Atari 50 are based on the 1974 original... is that too much of a long-shot though?
@aznable I realise I'm late to the party but that is a grade A joke right there. Just read the article hoping for the odd onion gag but you've given me the chuckle I was looking for. Pure parfaition
I got 12 having rage-quit twice (so really only 10). I'd not scrolled down and assumed the shrines question only had 4 answers so had to guess one I didn't think was right and still think the first one is BS as the voice acting is anything but full. Good quiz overall though and I feel the right balance of shame and pride after. Defo more shame than pride though
I do have the gold Wii remote though so there is that... and actually I have the Game & Watch as well so my Zeldork credentials aren't completely invalidated
I feel like I should own at least one of these! They always seemed to come out later in the console cycle by which time I already had a (usually bog standard) copy of the console. I remember wanting the Majora's Mask New 3DS XL despite being firmly in the OoT camp on that particular debate! I ended up getting the rather delicious Samus Edition and haven't regretted it... until now... a bit
@SMcCrae95 This additional clarification on the rationale for your scoring is very welcome. The number isn't everything, of course, but a good albeit safe sequel to a 9 with some new performance issues sounds like a justified 7 in my book. Looks like it will be great for fans of the first game though!
@Axecon I believe Nintendo themselves took the unusual (for them) step of challenging this report. They stated that the profit margin was actually smallest for the OLED model. Nintendo rarely responds to speculation but this narrative seemed to strike a chord with them
Great that they have been responsive and important that reviews like the one on this site highlighted it as an issue. I feel like I might still hold off and see if the load times can be addressed soon too... I think that would make a big difference to my enjoyment of this kind of game
Still wish they'd release this as a physical edition in Europe, not least to differentiate it from the Capcom 2nd Arcade Stadium, which it overlaps with significantly in terms of games.
I'd love to see Blood: Fresh Supply ported to Switch. And remasters of Hexen (as part of a Hexen/Heretic bundle with their respective sequels, perhaps?) and Quake II, both of which would hopefully include the N64 versions as the Quake remaster did
@speedyb I like your thinking. Those would round out the missing games from the previous Capcom Classics Collections nicely. There'd still be a fair few slots left so do you think there might be some surprises in store? I'd hope the Mega Man games as you say, perhaps the Slam Masters games and may be some Pang? That still wouldn't be 32 though and we'd start to move into licenced territory or else 3D/Naomi games unless they are going to rehash Street Fighter, etc.

@Axecon Here is a link to this very site covering Nintendo's denial of the OLED's profitability: https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2021/07/nintendo_denies_itll_make_increased_profits_with_switch_oled_no_plans_for_other_model_at_this_time

Re: Best Resident Evil Games Of All Time
I think the Gamecube original or the truly amazing Wii port of RE4 would place first here, surely?
