I'm surprised there is no notification when homes are added to the HHS. I went in there after reading this article (thanks, NintendoLife!) and was surprised to find not only the Regginator but another random person I apparently StreetPassed a week ago.
The HHS is a very cool feature. But now I'm suddenly more self-conscious about my own home. I wonder what condition it was in when I StreetPassed that person last week.
I bought quite a few Fire Emblem DLC packs. But, after playing them, I thought the DLC maps were pretty strange and disappointing compared to the main game. I'm not sure I'd buy these sorts of maps in the future unless the quality were improved.
I voted for X (Monolith Soft) but I bet it was just a CG movie, not a game engine. If my hunch is correct, we don't really know what it'll look like. But Xenoblade was awesome for a Wii game so they've got a great track record.
Yes, I will be downloading Picross e. I've bought all the Picross games which have been released in the US. Coming soon to a Doctor Who episode near you: "I play Picross now; Picross is cool."
It's mind-pulverizing what real musicians did with the DS version. How I wish I had musical talent. Sadly, I have none. I can't compose (or improvise) my way out of a wet paper bag. Sigh.
I agree with the people above who say this is the first time the PachMan has been correct about anything related to the gaming industry. Congratulations, PachMan.
@Slapshot According to an interview, they had to simplify the animation models for performance reasons. So they removed the ankle joint (and therefore the feet).
I have an unpleasant gut feeling (hunch) that the "Nintendo Web Framework" will come to be known as the "Nintendo Shovelware Enabler". I hope I'm wrong.
@Scollurio: So true. In real life people get blown to shreds at a marathon finish line or shot in the head at school. Real life is brutal. Talking about our bodies is so innocent by comparison.
I've read the rumors that the Wii U has a big holiday coming up but so do Sony and Microsoft. My gut feeling is Nintendo is going to have a very hard time meeting those Wii U projections. But they know infinitely more about their business than I do.
The only idiots in this discussion are the ones saying other people are playing the game wrong. That includes people on either side of the casual/classic fence.
I'm playing Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. The game is cute but I hate the controls. Using the circle pad, shoulder buttons, and face buttons simultaneously while trying to hold the 3DS is murder on my hands. Definitely not a game I can play for very long each day.
I sure wish the disc drive in my Wii hadn't broken. It lived long enough to play Xenoblade but was dead before The Last Story and Pandora's Tower were released.
Fire Emblem Awakening: Greatest Game of the Forever. I've also bought Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (and played the first mission) but I'm going to wait until I finish Fire Emblem before continuing. One epic game at a time.
Is it just my imagination or is the icon for the Nintendo Show 3D (with Jessie Cantrell) gone from the 3DS eShop? Or is it normal for the show icon to disappear and reappear later when there is an update? I'm a 3DS noob so I don't know these things.
I recently bought a 3DS XL and have eShopped the following games: Fire Emblem Awakening, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, and Mario's Picross. I qualified for the XL promotion so I got Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask from the eShop for free.
I won't consider buying a Wii U until customers can transfer their eShop games to a new console themselves (like we can with the 3DS), without having to send the console to Nintendo. Having to send the console to Nintendo to transfer licenses is industry-trailing B.S.
3DS noob here. Are those purple pieces given out only once? If you miss them (like by not buying a 3DS until about 2 weeks ago), is Streetpassing someone who already has them the only way to get purple pieces you've missed? Sorry if this is a stupid question.
Fire Emblem Awakening. I finally figured out how to complete Chapter 11 after failing for days. I feel like I'm finally learning how to play this game. I don't want any spoilers (strategy or story) so I stay away from FEA forum threads.
Fire Emblem: Awakening was the first game I bought for my new 3DS XL. I got it from the eShop because I don't like futzing with cartridges and I only buy games I know I'll want to replay in the future (so I don't sell them). I've played through Dragon Quest IX on my old DS Lite at least three times (maybe four). Same for Rune Factory 3. Worth buying, worth keeping (and vice versa).
Fire Emblem: Awakening on my new blue 3DS XL. I really wish this game had better documentation. Obviously, I'm a TRPG noob. Learning things the hard way.

Re: Hands On: The Wonderful 101
This is a test to see whether or not double quotes work. Here goes: 55" and 70". This concludes the test.
Edit: Yup, double quotes work fine. I was wondering if they were being eaten or transmogrified by the post parser.
Re: Hands On: The Wonderful 101
@GearsOfWarU Where do you guys put your 70-foot TVs? In your back yards?
Re: Hands On: The Wonderful 101
@Rafie A 70-foot screen?
If you haven't seen the movie Spinal Tap, you've got to see it. You'll know why after you've seen it. Hilarious.
Re: Reggie Fils-Aime's Home In Animal Crossing: New Leaf Distributed Through SpotPass
@Relias My hunch is Reggie's house was created by Nintendo staffers, not by Reggie himself. But, hey, I could be wrong.
I really need to practice making patterns. That bedspread is mondo awesome.
Re: Reggie Fils-Aime's Home In Animal Crossing: New Leaf Distributed Through SpotPass
@Dogpigfish Sick of Iwata? Not this American. Iwata will always be welcome in my town.

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Fourteen
Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Picross e
Fire Emblem: Awakening ("Gotta support them all!")

Re: Video: Bayonetta 2 Reveals Exciting New Hairstyle
Looks smart and beautiful. Well done, Platinum.
Re: Thinking Of Buying Animal Crossing: New Leaf? Go Digital, Says Iwata
I've been digitized because I like being able to switch between Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing without having to switch cartridges.
New Leaf is a tremendous improvement over City Life. I'm very happy.
Re: Hideki Kamiya Teases Bayonetta 2 for E3 Nintendo Direct
I'll be very happy if we do get an E3 update on Bayo but I'll be laughing my tushy off if we don't. Kamiya is a trollmeister.
Re: Evidence of a Functional 3DS Flashcard Emerges
Sad. Hopefully Nintendo can perma-brick any 3DS in which this flash card is inserted.

Re: Weirdness: Nintendo of Europe Didn't Want "Boingy Bits" in Fire Emblem: Awakening
The US version is very true to Nowi's character. The UK/EU alteration is ridiculous.
People do talk about such things. The chitchat I have overheard at the office....

Re: Talking Point: The Pros and Cons of a Wii U Price War
Games won't be enough for me. This system has a laundry list of annoying little problems which add up to enough to prevent me from purchasing it.
