Re: Soapbox: 'Switch 2' Doesn't Really Need Backwards Compatibility

@Aryam777 Sheesh settle down there chief, try not to sound more like a Reddit forum than forming and articulating your own thoughts without having to resort to calling the author a corporate panderer. You're not toppling any capitalist regimes in this thread son. I'd like to add literally everything you said does not apply to me. I don't care in the slightest what the author has said. He doesn't speak for me and neither do you. I don't play ANY older or retro games on my switch. Those days are done and gone, I get nauseous thinking about playing the first metroid ever made. Could NOT care less. I own a Switch to play Switch games, plain and simple. New Switch doesn't need BC? Cool, I'm fine with that. My Switch OLED isn't going anywhere. It would be completely asinine to suggest I'm the only one that feels the way I do.

Re: Soapbox: 'Switch 2' Doesn't Really Need Backwards Compatibility

I don't care if it has BC or not. I'm not selling or trading my switch in now. Plus once the next one comes out I see no reason to go back and play on an outdated turd or play outdated turd games. Lots of gamers in this comment section seem to be laboring under the delusion that every dev for every switch game ever made is going to go back and give the ol upgrade treatment to each and every game. Inclue BC or don't, I'm going to buy one day 1 either way, I'm no stickler like the rest of the gaming community.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Fans Needn't Lose Sleep Over Foamstars, Square Enix's 'Splatoon Rip-Off'

Xeraphis

@NatiaAdamo Bandwagoning on the only shooter Nintendo can make that would be any good that amounts to a child's game? I doubt it. Crazy thought but maybe, just maybe Square Enix just really likes Splatoon? Maybe they were just really inspired by the game and wanted to try something they love. Or maybe they just really hate us all and think they can do better and wish us ill...is what the logic of some folks seems to be.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom New Item Duplication Glitches Discovered In Version 1.1.2

If Nintendo wants to patch your exploits of their game they've carefully crafted, then no one can argue. We shouldn't care that people like to cheat? We shouldn't also care that Nintendo doesn't want you to do that. I couldn't imagine playing the game any other way than it was intended, but then again I belong to that old school class of gamers who play for fun, when just simply playing grants you all the rewards without the "grind". Tears of the kingdom isn't a "grind" nor is it supposed to be. Play the game naturally and you will accrue all your resources naturally. But also then again people can't function if they cant min/max effort and time spent with rewards and achievements given because they spent hours upon countless hours doing the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over again. No wonder y'all get burnt out.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom New Item Duplication Glitches Discovered In Version 1.1.2

@Gelantious Why are you guys trying so hard to justify the way you play the game? No one's calling you out. Do you feel guilty about it by chance? I certainly wouldn't "dupe". I'm not particular for degrading my experience with the game. If doing stupid glitches and exploiting the game is what fulfills(?) you then sure. I'll be just fine and happy that I conquered the game naturally, because I'll be better than you all. Lol

Re: Soapbox: If You Thought Last Year Was "Sad" For Switch, 2023 Might Be Hard To Handle

Xeraphis

So I've had a Nintendo Switch but this year I've bought and Xbox Series X and a Playstation 5 disk version. I'll start with the Playstation 5. I bought horizon forbidden west and Gotham Knights and even Callisto Protocol on it. I didn't get God of War Ragnorok because the first one bored me to tears. I could not care less about the Last of Us. I have Ghost of Tsushima and Spider-Man Miles Morales which is great but then that doesnt explain why I dont play them.

I STILL find myself on my Xbox way more than the Ps5. Ps5 exclusives are nothing new and crazy innovative. In fact Ps5 exclusives are boring so I just play my Xbox and am still playing games like Fallout 4 on it. My Ps5 is gathering dust and my mom is the only person who really gets anything out of it. Anybody want my Ps5? Frankly I'm starting to feel like I wasted money. I really hope Microsoft's Activision Blizzard acquisition works out because Xbox could use love. Don't get me wrong, the Ps5 is great and it looks good, but dangit I just don't play it and I saw it coming.

Re: Bayonetta's OG Voice Actor Asks Fans To "Boycott" Third Game After PlatinumGames Wage Fallout

Xeraphis

LOL gotta love how the gaming community cherry picks which bad business practices to boycott. I've never bought or played any of these games and it looks like I won't be buying and playing the 3rd. I'm so sorry Helena, I make 4 thousand in 4 weeks, you deserve much more than that. This is a highly acclaimed game, not some indy game, frickin pathetic. I suffer from extreme anxiety and I feel her pain. She was the voice of Bayonetta and helped make what it is today, I'd say she is worth more than $4,000 but people don't seem to agree. All this talk about mental health awareness is a joke.

Re: Fired Nintendo Worker Comes Forward With An Account Of Their Dismissal

Xeraphis

@strollin_stu Obviously. Companies are running a business, and sometime crap things happen. Kind of how reality works. It's not a dismissal of the things Companies do, but these things do happen so it blows my mind that people always seem so shocked. Besides, when are you ever going to read something good about a business? Good things don't get views. Far as I'm concerned, y'all are just guinea pigs on a wheel.

Re: Review: Omega Labyrinth Life - A Robust Dungeon Crawler With Plant-Based Padding

Xeraphis

@Blizzia Don't take it so personal, there's absolutely no need to justify cursing in this world as people are going to do it anyway. Some people like it, some people don't. I wouldn't force someone to like it as you wouldn't want to be forced to NOT like it. What the reviewer was saying is that it was a weird placement for the word in a game which is colorful and charming and positive to some degree and the way it was used almost just seemed out of place entirely. They aren't saying it shouldn't be said, they are just saying it wasn't expected, which is completely fine. Like I said, don't take it personal. Goodness.
