@SillyG I'd argue the SNES prototype is cooler than the learning games, but I guess it would've been kinda neat if those were included too. I mean, this does include the MS-DOS version.
Also, the price is confirmed to be $19.99. Take that as you will.
@HugoGED The game's size on PS5 is 109GB. If the port was accepted and they wanted to release it physically then it was always gonna be a GKC no matter what.
Hasbro really is just leaving a free money printer on the table by not allowing Larian to make a Switch 2 port of BG3, though given the accusations from last month, maybe that's for the best.
If they end up selling the two separately then I might think about getting the green one in the future. But I'd rather first see if they could do more drastically different color variants.
By the way, I think the purple would go hard with a custom Atomic Purple shell.
@IronMan30 Sadly, you'll die of alcohol poisoning.
At this point it would honestly be really funny if TPP / Koei Tecmo (not Nintendo, stop saying that) decide to make this a proper physical at the last second given ININ said that smaller cartridge sizes are becoming a thing. Though given we're only 2 months out, I very much doubt that will happen.
@LastFootnote Ah yes, Nintendo shooting themselves in the foot by checks notes discontinuing a bundle that months ago they said was going to be discontinued, and replacing it with new bundles with different games, changing them over a period of time instead of having only 1 bundle constantly.
The new bundled games then get more time in the spotlight and more sales, rather than Mario Kart continually being the pack-in despite it already selling over 10 million copies and getting an 95% attach rate. Plus, there's people out there that aren't interested in Mario Kart to begin with, so a variety of bundles is a good thing.
And if the past is any indication, the Mario Kart bundle is going to return in the future for Black Friday anyway.
@Athropos @mouseclicker Oh, I genuinely didn't catch that, my bad. I suppose that's what I get for glimpsing over the article and not noticing the quotes.
The window to submit the Switch build must've been strict if all the other platforms have MK4 included just fine.
DE is gonna have to explain if there's some underlying reason why MK4 has to be downloaded, because the exclusion of an N64 game on a 64GB cart seems really funny to me. The whole collection is only 12GB, too.
Can't wait for people online to be very normal about this being a Game Key Card, despite the fact for this game it wouldn't really be financially worth it to have it be fully on a 64 gig cart, since the game is 10 gigs big. And literally every other first party Switch 2 game up to Mario Tennis Fever and beyond is and will be on cart.
Apparently the keyboard is made almost entirely of aluminium - including the keys and buttons - so that's probably the reason why it costs so much. Hopefully they do a much cheaper plastic version in the future.
Also that N40 Ultimate 2 is a pretty good deal with all those extra goodies when you realize the normal Ultimate 2 only cost 10 bucks less.
If anyone is wondering - this game is using the same CozyLife Unreal Engine template as Anime Life Sim did. mrpyo1 on Twitter posted some 'screenshots' of the game - most of them being AI generated, but one of them pretty clearly being based on CozyLife.
I also found a game on Steam called 'Cozy Town' that ALSO uses the template. No joke, it uses the same screenshots that Anime Life Sim did.
I don't think this means a new Pikmin game or anything - at the absolute MOST it could mean a Switch 2 Edition of Pikmin 4 - but I think this is just a new series of those Pikmin Short Movies they did back during the 3DS and Wii U era.
Don't care too much about the 30fps cap. As long as it's stable, I can live with it. I'll be getting the physical version in December, and by that time they'll probably have figured out that performance mode they're looking into.

@Spider-Kev Metal Gear: Ghost Babel (the GBC game you're talking about) is also included in this as a bonus.

The fact that more people have voted for 'not interested in the game either way' than 'was going to get it but not anymore' is extremely funny to me.

Been looking forward to this for a loooong while now (basically since back when it was announced in 2022), good to see it finally get a date!
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's SNES Library With Three More Titles
Wait, I just had a realization. Were the Mario's Super Picross icon parts from a few days ago teasing the drop for Mario & Wario?
Could just be coincidence, but man, that's funny.

Re: Poll: How Many New Games Do You Buy In A Year?
I've bought 47 physical Switch 1 and 2 games since the Switch 2 launch on June 5th.
And I've bought like 20 digital S1&2 games on top of that.
Help me.
