@SillyG It would make more sense to say theres a lack of cutscenes, but theres no lack of story. Just remember how people talked about their own unique experience with the game, about what was the first divine beast they saw, how they discovery a new city, how they discovery the yiga clan etc. Thats the story unfolding and no other game can do that.
I agree. The genius in Breath of the Wild is that its so subtle, so fine tuned, that people often think it didnt do anything new. But in fact there is still no game to this day that achieved that level of freedom and cohesion, where you can basically do whatever you want and the game will deliver a great adventure all the same. Absolutely immersive and beautiful.
@johnvboy "What the critics always fail to realize is that no Pokemon game has ever had cutting edge visuals when compared to the best graphically technical games on that particular platform"
Thats not true, man. Pokemon used to be among the best looking games in gb, gbc, gba, ds. The thing started to get bad in 3ds era and became a total wreck with pokemon sword / shield.
Like @clvr said, when you see botw, odissey and xenoblade chronicles 2 it becomes clear that the problem is not in the console. And, please, everybody here saw that horrible scene in wich the legendary wolves turn like they are doing a moonwalk. Thats simply depressing. You can't excuse that level of laziness coming from the highest-grossing game franchise of all time.
@BloodNinja Correction: all white led violence. But, ok, don't think about it too much. Let's just keep having fun with blond heroes who kill non-white people in their own lands. It's just a game, right?
@BloodNinja I think that's a question you may not be aware of, but I'm not reading too much into it.
I'm brazilian and I know the history of european arrival in South America. Indigenous peoples have been under attack for 500 years and it is still happening today. It's an ongoing ethnic conflict. The lands, cultures and lives of native people are still being wiped out.
Its sad to see that violence being romanticized. Think of a game in wich the hero kills the bad Cherokee or Navajo people. Wouldn't it be considered racist?
Its nice to see an adventure in the Amazon Rainforest. That's refreshing. However, its a shame that the hero is a blonde white girl and the enemies are the native people. Its like reenact a history of discrimination, violence and genocide.
@Sanangelo89 Well, terrible is just an strong adjective. She didn't insulted anybody. Why can you say awesome but not terrible?
In this hole comment section, I see more people complaining about who didn't like the game than actual people complaining about the game.
There's literally two comments critical to the game: Santoria's and my reply. On the other hand, there are at least five comments repressing our opinion with expressions like "I don't give a damn", "salty people" or "Its so exhausting to hear people complain about pokemon".
@HamatoYoshi @quinnyboy58 Sometimes I fell like people can't disagree about pokemon in this site. Santoria wasn't disrespectful with anyone, she even said she would get the game. She just pointed out a perception with wich others, like me, actually agree. Lets be honest: those textures are not good, specially in a game with almost no action. We are not talking about a fighting or adventure game. Criticize a franchise is not just rudeness. It can be an important feedback for them to get better. Being one of the most profitable franchises in the gaming world, I do believe pokemon could and should be criticized by its fans.
@JokerCK Actually it does look better than the main games, but it is still visually unpolished. When you look to literally any other first-party Switch game, the state of pokemon is absolutely inexcusable.
There's one thing that bothers me, though. Sometimes, specially in multiplayer sessions, the screen gets a bit messy, with too many visual effects. I really expect they adjust those details.
@AlexSora89 Lets be honest. Pokemon sword and shield has nice new pokemon, but everything else is garbage. Story, dialogues, graphics, maps. I sold my copy of shield as soon as I finished the game.
Also, hacking is not always a bad thing. In fact, there are tons of games that were created by the hacking community and even became official games like dota and counter strike. And lets not forget the mods and hack roms that people have fun making and playing. I had the pleasure of making a pokemon hack rom some 11 years ago that people still play today. Its called pokemon my ass, you may have heard of It (and if not, i suggest you Google It). I would love to hear what tou think about It.
@Cosats actualy, its not illegal to hack your own copy of a singleplayer game. And its not even illegal to hack a multiplayer game (In that case tou could inflict ingame rules, but not the law).
Ps.: I really don't care much about the dexit. What let me down was the bad writing, the unbearable linearity of the game, the awful graphics and the fact that the game hasn't changed a bit from 3DS to Switch.
I bought Pokémon Shield and sold it right after beating the game. It was such a disappointment that I Lost interest in the post game and the online battles. I would say that I expect the franchise to evolve, but I actually doubt It and I'm convinced Pokémon is not for me anymore.
@PBandSmelly Actualy, the problem is not the exp share. The game could be well balanced with or without this item, because dificulty is more about artificial intelligence and strong Pokémon than about level. I bet this game without any problem, even though the champion had higher level Pokémon. This game is simply inevitably easy, even If you always use underleveled Pokémon.
1) Use the stasis rune in an object, strike it to build some energy and, before the object is released, climb it. I wonder if it is possible to fly on top of one of those launched rocks.
2) Use the magnesis rune to put two metal plates crossed. Then get on the upper plate and use the magnesis to uplift the under plate. According to Bill Trinen, it would make you float arround.

Re: Palworld Dev Announces "Disappointing" Game Changes Resulting From Nintendo's Lawsuit
As if making terrible games wasn't enough, now the Pokemon Company wants to ruin other companies' games too.

I hope Palworld wins that lawsuit. The real crime is what pokemon does to his fans.
