Re: Game & Wario Was Originally Intended As A Pre-Installed Wii U Title

ToastyYogurt

@pntjr: What? When the 3DS came out, I felt like there was less on the table than Wii U's launch. When the 3DS came out, the eShop and Internet Broswer weren't finished, and most games were short or small ports. Heck, like the Wii U, the 3DS was struggling in its beginning months. I think the Wii U had a great launch. No console features held back until after launch, and a pretty strong launch line-up. It just needs a few more games to keep people occupied with the thing. And it looks like Nintendo is trying as hard as it can to secure exclusives, getting publishing rights for Bayonetta 2 and The Wonderful 101, and making a deal with Sega for 3 Nintendo-exclusive Sonic games.

Re: Thomas Was Alone Creator Responds To Nintendo Claiming "Let's Play" Video Revenue

ToastyYogurt

I got a question. If I turn on ad revenue and LP a non-Nintendo game and then LP a Nintendo game, do I make money off of the non-Nintendo game LP but not the Nintendo game one, or do I just not make money altogether?

@gaby_gabito: The ads are not about Nintendo, the ads are about whatever. Nintendo is merely forcing videos having a certain amount of Nintendo game footage to have ads, and if the user is making revenue off ads already, the revenue goes to Nintendo instead.

Re: European Gamers Bemoan PAL Version of Super Metroid

ToastyYogurt

Really, guys? I might not live in Europe, so I don't exactly know how bad it is, and I too would hate being forced into playing a slower version of a game, but this version of the game was optimized for PAL teleys, so it shouldn't be too big of a deal. I'm sure the subtitles are annoying, but it seems like a minor annoyance. Shouldn't you be happy that Nintendo at least gave you 60hz versions of VC games in the first place? You can't say Nintendo isn't listening because they offered those 60hz games in Europe's VC, due to fan demand. They just thought it would be nice to bring the localized version of the game in Europe when possible, as long as it wasn't affecting gameplay. But of course, people complain because there's extra words on the screen during the two(?) cutscenes in the game and that it's "not 60hz."

But if that really makes a difference to you, go ahead and complain. Nintendo will probably listen to you again, like the last time you guys did, when it actually mattered.

Re: Nintendo Issues Statement on Wii U Hacking Attempt

ToastyYogurt

@Dragon_Rider: I beg to differ. Piracy isn't theft in the traditional manner, but it is theft in another way: piracy is stealing money that the creator would have made otherwise.

I'm sick of people trying to justify piracy. It's illegal for a reason. I can't stop you from doing it (unless all you know is that you're getting stuff you would normally buy for free and are not aware that you are stealing money), but I feel like "I don't care about the industry" is a better reason to pirate than "it's not stealing blah blah blah."

Re: Hyperkin: Nintendo Hasn't Contacted Us About the RetroN 5

ToastyYogurt

Guys, that's not an analogue stick. It's a mini joystick that uses microswitches like joysticks in arcades. That means it has no more fuction than a d-pad (8 directions, no sensitivity on how far you push the thing in one direction), but has a nice little joystick feel to it. If they can make it feel more like a clicky joystick than a sloppy joystick, that might actually be a decent controller. If not, you can always plug in some original controllers if you have them. And if you want a wireless controller with a proper d-pad, you can always grab these wireless SNES controllers.

Re: Game & Wario Brings Mayhem to North America on 23rd June

ToastyYogurt

@MouldyK: By "final," IGN most likely meant the final number of minigames, therefore there will be 11 games. And I'm pretty sure I read somewhere else that 11 is the number.

You know someone isn't doing very well at marketing when mystery is surrounding a game that was already released in Japan.

I'm pretty excited for this game. It's not the Warioware I know and love, but it does have some neat ideas. I'm looking forwards to playing "Thief" with people (the one where a guy on the gamepad tries to secretly steal some apples while some other players watch the entire crowded, Where's Waldo-like scene on the TV, and then the watchers have to guess who the on screen thief is). Besides, the game where 9-Volt tries to sneak playing video games in bed seems to have a little Warioware in it. You just got to stop playing every time Game Mom walks by.

Re: New 3DS System Update Gives the eShop a Spit and Polish

ToastyYogurt

@Red_Kinetic: That happened to my 3DS a lot before the update, but it's easy to get out of. Just move a block left or right on the eShop and then you should be able to go home. If that doesn't work, keep doing it until it does. Or you can just hit the power button and then go home.

@Tate24: If you want eShop access (and maybe the ability to play some games online again), yes you should.

Haven't updated yet, but I'll give it a shot as soon as I get over to my 3DS.

Re: Wii Mini Generating Little Interest in The UK

ToastyYogurt

Seriously, what was the point of making this? The Wii's been on the market for 5+ years, and it's successor is taking over. I wouldn't expect strong Wii sales now, and the fact that they spent money designing an even more butchered version of the Wii (compared to the GC support-less one) is silly. Besides, it would be better to pick up a used Wii anyway. This thing lacks everything the original Wii had except the ability to play disc games, and on top of that, it looks stupid. Yeah, it's nice that you can play games with this thing, but what if I want to play an NES game without an NES, or take my Mario Kart skills online? This thing shouldn't exist.

Re: FEZ Creator Insists The Game Wouldn't Work On The 3DS

ToastyYogurt

I think I can see why he thinks it would be "pointless for the game to be on 3DS. As far as I know (haven't played it yet, waiting for the PC port), Fez's main aspect is puzzles that rely on the fact that you can only see the 3D world on a 2D plane, one side at a time. The 3D effect would ruin these puzzles, because it would show things not your way to be pushed back when in 2D it would look like it was in your way. That would ruin the game. And if he released it on 3DS in 2D, there would doubtless be quite a few complainers.

Also, just because the game is "indie" and not made by Nintendo doesn't mean you should hate it. I heard XBLA Indie was horrible, but most indie games on Steam are fantastic. And hating a game because it's not by your favorite company and it's not an exclusive is a very narrow minded way to think, and it doesn't make you any better than the Ninty haters out there.

Re: Nintendo Reveals Flipnote Studio For The 3DS eShop

ToastyYogurt

It's a shame that the fee exists, but I'm kinda glad that it's there. Remember the petitions for Super Smash Bros. DS and other ludicrous things, and the shameless copies of others' animations? The fee is probably there to cut out the people that do those things. I hope that everyone serious about making great animations is willing to pay the fee. I hope it's free to just watch. That's mostly what I'll be doing.

Re: Feature: What You Told Us About Wii U

ToastyYogurt

@Neutron: Let's analyze your whole list of thoughts:
"the Wii U is an underpowered console...": Great concepts > Great power. The Wii U may be less powerful than 360 and PS3 (but not by much, considering games that would typically miss Wii, like Batman Arkham City and Assassin's Creed III, have made it to Wii U), but it has that amazing Gamepad that has so much potential. Just play Nintendo Land and see how much. If I was just going for power, I would stick with PC, which could blow 360 and PS3, and most likely even the PS3 and next XBox, out of the water if one has the cash. But the Gamepad is a cool piece of kit that is just too cool for me and many others to resist.
"...that lacks many features of current gen systems...": Like what? Playing DVDs? Play media off of a harddrive? If you want to watch DVDs, get a DVD player. If you want to watch downloaded media on your TV, get an HTPC. Being able to do things that you can do without a game console should not effect your decision to buy said game console, and should be treated as an extra instead. GAME consoles are meant to play GAMES, why do people care so much if it can do other crap? Besides, Wii U has so many off the wall features that "current gen consoles" (Wii U is a current gen console.... unless you meant it was next gen) don't have, like Miiverse and Nintendo TVii. And the features that Wii U does have that others do often take advantage of the Gamepad. You can watch a movie on Netflix on the Gamepad while somebody watches something on the big screen, for instance.
"and does have any compelling exclusive software.": I'm going to be logical and assume you meant to put a "not" after the "does" in there. Wii U's launch lineup was actually pretty strong compared to most launch lineups. Besides, how could you ignore Nintendo Land? That's a fantastic game that feels like what the Wii U was MADE for. It's a load of fun. Besides, there will be plenty of other fantastic exclusives coming in the future, like Game & Wario, Bayonetta 2, Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101, and the next Smash Bros. (Yes, it's coming to 3DS too, but the Wii U version is sure to be the better version for multiplayer, as it's easier and cheaper to round up 1-4 Wiimotes and a Gamepad than to round up the same number of 3DSs). Just because there are not any "compelling" titles now (I believe Nintendo Land is a compelling game.
"Wii U will be dead this time next year, due to the launches of the vastly superior Xbox 720 and PS4.": Right. A console that's had plenty of success so far to the point of selling out preorders is going to get crushed by two consoles that will have nothing improved rather than power, or have some extra features that you could probably get from another TV box anyway. Just like what happened with the Wii. Oh wait, it didn't. Just look at @Raylax's comment. The underdog does have the potential to beat the other guys. Besides, the PS4 and 720 might be "vastly superior" in raw power, but they will never be superior in where it matters most: ingenuity. The Gamepad will help sell many units. I don't know what Sony and Microsoft have in store for their consoles, but I doubt they will have anything groundbreaking game wise like the Gamepad. I'm not saying the Wii U won't be outperformed, because I don't know if it will. The future is uncertain, sometimes things that seem almost certain to happen do not happen, and vice versa. Besides, you can't predict the future and state it as fact. Unless you have some sort of crystal ball in your basement, in which case if you do, I would like to buy it off of you.

@Rod64: So 2-4 people can play Wii U while 2 others play Wii, or some other combination?

Re: Sony: Wii U Offering "Something That Vita and PS3 can do Quite Easily"

ToastyYogurt

This is what makes me dislike Sony's Playstation arm. They're too busy dissing Nintendo to realize that the PS3 is struggling behind Wii and 360 in terms of sales, and developers hardly use Move and Vita-PS3 connectivity. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if the list of games that support Vita-to-PS3 connectivity isn't as long as the PSP-to-PS3 connectivity games' list.

Re: Rumour: Death's Apprentice Heading to Wii U in, wait for it... 2015

ToastyYogurt

Check out their explanation for why the game "looks like" an RPG Maker job.

Amanda Dyar first developed the concept for "Death's Apprentice" in 1992. The video game remained on hold for several years until 2010 when it started development by BGG Media. Ms. Dyar applied for a position working for Alabama Senator Lowell Barron in early 2000. In order to stand out then Ms. Dyar created a short video game that displayed her job portfolio within a virtual world. The player could access parts of the portfolio through solving puzzles and defeating bosses in battle. Once the user nears the end of the game then a final decision is made on rather the apprentice is hired or fired! The overall idea is much like that of the television show "The Apprentice" hosted by Donald Trump. The video gameplay footage that you see within the first trailer is from the original title created by Dyar in 1999. Dyar later went on to obtain a graduate degree in Psychology and used this method as an academic tool for studies involving "Perception." Dyar is the founder of "BioGamer Girl Magazine" which is a family-ran organization where both her children currently are an active part of the team. Dyar's two children were avid team members in the development of "Death's Apprentice."

So, they're claiming that a lesser known game producer is working on this? Well, the game is listed under her IMDb Profile, though I'm not sure if that is a user edited database or not. But, they also claim that the gameplay in the trailer was from the 1999 game, while it was shot with Frags (the watermark at the top of the video proves it), which wasn't around until 2004....

Something tells me the whole story is bull.

Re: Legend of Zelda Prototype Cartridge Posted on eBay

ToastyYogurt

@GridAttack: The Famicom Disk System version came before the cartridge version, and the cartridge is just a port of the Disk System version. Judging by that, it's possible the prototype could just be the finished game on a cartridge to make sure that everything worked right (especially the save battery). I'm not saying this is legit, I'm just making a point.

@TheConsiglio: Not a ripoff for collectors if it's legit. Collectors LOVE super rare things.

Re: Ice Climber Now Has Download Play Multiplayer in Japan

ToastyYogurt

@DaveGX: NES games have got to be easier to emulate multiplayer than Game Boy games. Making wireless multiplayer work on NES would be as easy as making the guest 3DS P2 and streaming the host's video to the system, or both systems running the ROM and keeping the game in sync. The Game Boy, however, is harder to emulate multiplayer with because as @WaxxyOne said, the GameBoy relied on a wired connection and the power of faith. The Game Boy link didn't check to ensure that the data being sent was received, but that was okay because thanks to the wired connection, it went through most of the time. Wireless connections are less reliable, sometimes messages don't get through. The DS and 3DS have managed to combat that by checking that the data was received, keeping the games in sync. But since Game Boy games don't do that, the games could go out of sync on a wireless connection without any modifications, thus breaking the game. Also, in order to do alternate play in 3DS NES games, you have to hold down L and R and then hit Y to switch to P2's controller. Otherwise you'll still be plugged into P1 and Luigi won't budge.

Re: Bigger Nintendo 3DS Console Revealed

ToastyYogurt

Am I the only one that sees "no AC adapter" as a writing mistake? I'm sure it's a mistake by the writer. He probably meant to say "charging cradle." Nintendo would have to be crazy, stupid, and/or money hungry to not include the proprietary component that gives your console life. It's pretty much unwritten law to include everything one needs to get a product started in the box. To do otherwise would make consumers mad. (As evidenced here. )

Also, what's with the inside's top being white? I thought that the border on 3DSs were all black because it makes the 3D effect easier to see. Maybe border color doesn't matter when the screen is that large?

Eh, I'm not getting one. I'd rather stick with my pocket-sized, PORTABLE portable.

Re: Mad Dog McCree Takes Aim at 3DS

ToastyYogurt

But still, I think it's silly you people won't buy something because it isn't in 3D. That's like starving and not eating something because it's not the color blue. Not saying this game is good or anything (I doubt it is), but there ya go.

Re: Mad Dog McCree Takes Aim at 3DS

ToastyYogurt

I don't really see why it will be on 3DS without 3D when it could be on DSiWare. I mean, if they could fit Dragon's Lair into DSiWare's tiny size limit, I'm sure this could get in there somehow....

Re: Wii Motion Gaming Won't Guarantee Better Fitness

ToastyYogurt

I would take this seriously if it was a more controlled experiment. In order for an experiment to yield good results, you got to keep as many factors the same. The studies don't say anything about all the kids having equal playtime or if the ones playing Wii Sports were forced to stand up and play rather than bowl from the couch seat, which leads me to believe that this wasn't a proper experiment.

Re: Talking Point: The Future of Pokémon

ToastyYogurt

I prefer electronic screeches to the Pokemon just saying it's name, like you don't what it is from that floating bar thing already.

Also, optionally betting on Pokemon battles sounds like a good idea. I'm pretty sure that at least some age rating boards would call that "Simulated Gambling," though, and I don't think Nintendo is ready to give up that E for Everyone rating. ~Remember what they did to HeartGold/Soulsilver's slots?~

Also, I do think it would be neat for the battles to be in cinematic 3D a la the Pokemon console games (At least the ones that have to do with battling....), and is totally what I can imagine Pokemon 3DS being.

Also, let's not forget the possibility of the version names being of precious metals/gems....

Re: Talking Point: Using Glitches - Cheating or Clever Gaming?

ToastyYogurt

Cheating in single player games is fine, because it's only you who's playing. But cheating in multiplayer is just plain wrong (unless everybody gets the cheat just for kicks and giggles, i.e. making all cars go super fast), because you're getting an advantage over honest players. If you cheat in multiplayer, you're just saying you're not good enough to win with pure skill, in which case you should be practicing instead of utilising glitches and busting out your Action Replay.

Also, I used to cheat in Single Player only, but I don't do that anymore because I realised that most of the fun of the game is taken out when all of your Pokemon are level 100.

Re: Rumour: Wii U Heading for E3 Face-Off with PS4 and Xbox 720

ToastyYogurt

So, the Wii U's going to lose sales because it isn't a media center? That's ridiculous. Want cable TV? Buy a cable box. Want to watch DVDs? Buy a DVD player. Want to play a good-looking (as in the game itself, not just graphics) video game? Buy console that plays said good-looking video game. Running out of holes to plug things in? Buy an input box/power strip.

I find it ridiculous that people think that one console will eat another console just because ONE IS A DANG MEDIA CENTER (Want a media center? Get a Home Theater PC or one of those media boxes). When it comes to the breakdown of consoles, all that really matters is the games, especially exclusives. And that's why I stick to Nintendo, because their games are awesome. As for other games, I'll stick to my PC, but Nintendo is the reason I buy Nintendo consoles. And if I wanted to play a 360 or PS3 exclusive game, I'd guess I'd have to get the console, but I wouldn't buy it because it let's me watch movies from my computer on the TV. If that was the case, I'd get an Apple TV or a Roku or a Boxee or such a device, and if I do decide to later get a 360 or PS3 and don't need the streaming box anymore, then I have numerous options, I can a) hook the box up to a different TV, b) sell the box, or c) be nice and give it away. But I wouldn't have to do any of those if I never wanted a PS3 or 360. So the thing is, why should it matter so much if a console can do this if a non-console box can do the same thing? Is unification really worth being such a huge factor in picking a console?

Re: Turn Your Retro Cartridges Into ROMS, Legally

ToastyYogurt

I'm not even sure that backups are even legal in the US. Some say it's legal, others say that it isn't. Although it's not unethical if you're backing up your own cartridges/disks for a system that you own, and are only using them for personal use and are only using one copy at a time, but idk. :/

Re: Nintendo Working On Two Controller Support for Wii U

ToastyYogurt

@Rococoman: The GameBoy brand is pretty much long gone now. After the failure that was the Game Boy Micro and the shoot-up of DS sales, Nintendo decided to retire the Game Boy brand. What's wrong with the 3DS, or the DS line for that matter? Too many screens? I think the DS is a worthy successor to the DS, and the 3DS is the worthy successor to the DS.

Re: Review: Disney Universe (Wii)

ToastyYogurt

Are we saying it's okay to manipulate children and give them something sub-par over something superb? Chicken Brutus is right. The reason many licensed games are crap is because the developers don't try, because most of these games are targeted towards children, and children don't read reviews, or pay attention to a game's quality. They just want to play as their favorite character. Kids are being manipulated all the time these days...

Re: Review: Cave Story 3D (3DS)

ToastyYogurt

The 3D is that good? I was too busy going "OMG WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY PIXEL SPRITES?!" to actually pay attention to the visuals. Also, music by the same dude who made beats for Super Meat Boy? Now, I'm very iffy on buying this for $40, but I will definitely buy this if it also includes the voice of the dude in Super Meat Boy that yells "SUUUUUUPER MEAT BOY!!" when you press start at the title. ("CAAAAAAAAAVE STORY!!")

Just kidding, but I really am sitting on the fence on this one, though I'll probably. not go for this, considering that after playing the free PC version and loving it, then buying the DSiWare version and being unsatisfied at what my $10 brought me, I guess I'll decide to pass on this and keep my pixel sprites. For now, at least...

P.S. Can anyone show me some sound bytes of the music on this game? Are they remixed versions of the original songs, or whole new stuff? (I sure as heck hope they didn't totally replace some of my favorite VGM tunes...)

Re: Analogue Stick Add-On for 3DS Revealed

ToastyYogurt

This can't be true. It can't be. It has a huge design flaw. With the second control stick in the way, how the heck are you supposed to reach the face buttons easily? I can only really imagine this being good for FPSs, since they don't make too much use out of face buttons.

Re: Something Bugs Us About This Centipede: Infestation Trailer

ToastyYogurt

@Oddy: You have it and haven't played it too? Me niether. Did you get it free during the Steam Summer Camp like me?

Doesn't look like Centipede. I wish that instead of devs and publishers naming games after existing franchises it doesn't relate to very well, they could come up with a different name. (Also applies to Red Steel 2 and probably a bunch of other games)

Re: Nintendo Refuses to Confirm GameCube Downloads on Wii U

ToastyYogurt

@LTD: Hmm, maybe they are. But then arouses the question of multiplayer: only 1 Wii U controller can be hooked up at a time, along with 4 Wiimotes. So if they decide they want to bring GC games to VC, they should make a GC-like CC for multiplayer and those that don't want to use the Wii U controller.

Re: Feature: The State of WiiWare

ToastyYogurt

I hope Wii U Ware follows the example of Steam. Whenever there's the rare occasion that there's a game on both WiiWare and Steam, I always pick the Steam version because I know I can get it for real cheap if I put it on my wishlist and wait for one of Steam's huge sales. During the Summer sale Steam was having, I bought 10 games and spent only ~$20 (That would mean if every game I bought was the same price (they weren't really), each one would cost ~$2!). If I bought 10 games on WiiWare on any given day, I would definitely spend a lot more than $20, even if all the games were 500 points. Granted, the same would go for Steam games at their regular prices, but that's why there are sales. In fact, one of Valve's founders (Valve created Steam, in case you didn't know) said that sales help give more profit to Steam. If you put on a huge sale once or twice a year that lasts a week or two, people are going to buy things they were hesitant to buy, because now they are dirt cheap, and more games will be sold. It's a business practice that's been done for centuries, and it works. So why doesn't Nintendo push sales like Steam does?
I also like how Steam's demos work. There isn't a demo for every game (I loath you, XBox Live Arcade), but when there's a demo, it will never go away (you hear that, Nintendo?). But the best part is most game demos on Steam will not only save your progress, but when the full game is purchased, you can continue from where you left off in the demo, but with all of the game's features unlocked.

Oh, and while I'm dreaming, I would like it if the Wii U to not only allow patches, but to download them whenever the system is plugged in, even when the system is "off," like how Steam downloads game updates automatically whenever the computer is on, and like a feature Playstation Plus members get for their PS3s.

Re: Nintendo Refuses to Confirm GameCube Downloads on Wii U

ToastyYogurt

Eh, I only care a little about GC games on VC. I still have my GameCube and am planning on keeping my Wii and GameCube after getting a Wii U, but I would jump on the opportunity to get games I missed out on without having to hunt for it on eBay and at GameStop, and be able to play it without having to pop in a disk, not to mention not needing to worry about the disk I end up getting being scratched from abuse by it's previous owner.
But I still have my GameCube and every game I've ever owned for it (I never sell games because I'm afraid I'll miss them), so I don't care if Nintendo shuns GC support.
Now that I think about it, GameCube controllers had analogue (a.k.a. pressure sensitive, or at least kinda, by allowing the buttons to have a "partly pressed" mode and "fully pressed" mode) shoulder buttons (except for the Z button, which was normal), which the Classic Controller lacks. Since GC controllers aren't supported by the Wii U, and some games used this feature (i.e. in Super Mario Sunshine, you could walk around and spray water at the same time by holding down the R button lightly), this would poise a problem for VC ports of some games. Does the new Wii U controller have analogue shoulder buttons? Could there be a new Classic Controller that has analogue shoulder buttons? Could there be a new GC-like controller that connects to a Wiimote, or maybe a GC to Wiimote adapter? Would this keep Nintendo from releasing GC games on VC that used this feature, like Super Mario Sunshine? Could Nintendo remap the controls of GC games (That does seem like a possibility. The only extra button that a CC over a GC controller is the Select/- button, the Home button (out of the question), and one shoulder button (CC has 4, GC had 3), which could toggle the "partly pressed" mode when it and the L or R button is held down)? Or will Nintendo just shun the idea of GC VC entirely because of this and probably other issues? Stay tuned...

Re: Iwata Tells Shareholders "Core Gamers Will Accept Wii U"

ToastyYogurt

I think the other thing was the Wii's processing capabilities. Due to the fact that it was less powerful than the 360 and PS3, most "core" games get a crappy port for Wii or don't get a Wii port at all. If you notice, most Wii ports of PS3/360 games have ugly graphics, while games like Super Mario Galaxy look top-notch. The people who port these games don't really try to make the games look as best as they can on the system. All they know is the Wii is less powerful than a PS3 or 360, and they just downgrade the graphics as much as they can.

Re: Take a Closer Look at the Wii U Console

ToastyYogurt

@15: I'd rather have an option that allows the Wii U to switch it's resolution to 480p when playing a Wii game and then back to 1080p when back at the Wii U menu. It would be a nice alternative to those who don't like when a 480p image is stretched to 1080p and then has filters placed all over it. (I'm not sure which is better, but the 3DS has certainly scared me from stretching and filters on older games with lower resolution, though DS games used as much pixels as the screen had, which is not the case for HD TVs and Wiis....)

Re: Iwata: "We've Finally Reached the Digital Sales Starting Line"

ToastyYogurt

I think the 3DS is AMAZING and much, much better than the DSi Shop. It's much more faster and much more convenient and fluid. I also like the ratings and how in order to leave a rating, one must play the game for an hour. I like that because it keeps random people from spamming the shop and you can trust the ratings more. I also like how there is a wishlist.

Re: Sakurai Talks Connecting Smash Bros 3DS and Wii U

ToastyYogurt

Unless they do something amazing with SSB on 3DS, I think I'll only get the Wii U version. I mean, SSB on 3DS sounds awesome, but the main reason I love Smash Bros. is the multiplayer, and it's harder to scrounge up $250 handhelds than $40-$60 controllers (I am, of course, talking about Wiimotes/Nunchucks/CCs/GC Controllers and not the New Controller, which there is only going to be one of per console anyway...) just to play a game of Smash Bros. Heck, that's my biggest problem with Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition: You either had to find friends with 3DSs (and the game if said friends happen to hate playing as Ryu...), play online (which you can't do everywhere and your opponents might be tougher than you...), or settle for playing against the CPU. Yeah, I know it's not the games fault, it's really just the fact that handhelds are much, much more expensive than controllers for consoles and it's not very practical for most people to buy two handhelds just for a friend to occasionally play multiplayer games, whereas most people will end up buying at least a second controller because they aren't that much (and I'm not saying handheld prices should be lower either, they do have much more meat in them, after all). I'm not saying this game will be terrible, I just don't see much point in having a multiplayer-oriented game on a handheld.
