I wish they'd done an HD remake of Luigi's Mansion during the Year of Luigi. I never got to play the original, just the sequel.

@IxC First has "Sega Coperation", likely a bad fake. Second has Iwata presenting, I don't think that will happen. Third is more likely.

I really like that mockup. That being said, the GC controller always threw me off. I could switch between the DualShock, Controller S, and 360 pads without issue. But if I used the GC controller I had troubles going back to the others.

Amazing game. This deserves to sell 30 million copies.

I dont have my copy of Console Wars yet, but I've read the iBooks sample, and the foreword is downright embarassing. I plan to cut it out of my copy when I get it. Just garbage.

Blinking NES's are easy to fix, either replace the 72 pin connector entirely or just tweak the pins back into place. Problem solved.

CoD games have a long shelf life, so while they may not have sold gangbusters at launch on the Wuu they'll continue to sell over the years.

I've been nervous about getting Pikmin 3 because I haven't played a previous title in the series. Probably get it.

How about you actually market the Wii U? Wouldn't that be doing whatever you want? And some marketing could 'redefine' your position in the industry.

I love Nintendo, but the huge amount of boneheaded moves they've made the last few years frustrates me to no end.

Yeah...they're not exactly appealing to me as a Wii U owner by telling me we'll get a last gen port, and only if we pony up an extra $62,000 for it.

There's also the part where the 3DS has plenty of titles at the moment, and the Wii U needs more.

I bought it because it was $3.50. I've spent worse money, and the brief time I spent with it seemed to leave a good impression.

Newer Wii models don't support the Gamecube at all, they've got no controller ports, nothing. It was when they made the change to the Wii that made the default orientation horizontal. The Mini is even worse since it doesn't support external storage nor have internet access capability (no store access).

@rjejr I'm waiting for a price drop on the XL before I upgrade...my 3DS (got it used) has problems with the card slot and I've been looking to upgrade. Plus the XL is a lot more comfortable, I don't like that I have to have a huge grip on mine.

That, or a new model to be introduced.

I bought mine last month, but since it was a Nintendo refurb I don't think it counts.

And this will bring the usual "NINTENDO IS DOOMED" comments from folks, and people saying Nintendo need to exit the console business. These same people will ignore the fact that the Vita hasn't even broken the three million units sold mark yet after over two years on the market.

Starfox 64 has been cheap on Amazon for a long time. I bought a new copy a year ago for about $25. It's $28 right now (obviously this is US only).

I had never played Animal Crossing, and I love New Leaf. It only requires a quick time investment every day, though I do miss some days. That being said it may not be your kind of title.

I was about to go buy MK7 today…kinda still want it though. That way I have time to play it before MK8 comes out.

Owning a Wii U at this point is kinda like owning an N64. There's next to no third party games apart from some bad shovel ware, and the Nintendo games are far and few between.

I just wish prices for consoles weren't sky high. Hard to find one with cords and a controller for less than $70 on eBay. Even just a few years ago for that price you were getting several games and both controllers (good games too).

Had to go ahead and buy this. Guess I'll have to wait on getting a new Wii U game until next week.
