Re: Rumour: Sony Could Be Raiding Konami For Castlevania, Metal Gear And Silent Hill IP

Thaliard

There's no way Sony is buying these IP, or rather there's no way Konami is selling them. They still use the IP, just not necessarily in games. Pachinko machines, comic books, TV shows, remasters/rereleases, other licensing opportunities, and the occasional game make money for Konami. It makes way more sense for Konami to license their IP out or do a low risk collaboration with other devs than to cut off a slow and steady revenue stream that will always have an active die-hard audience.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #34 - Perfect Dark

Thaliard

I never thought the NA box art looked bad, but it's easily the worst of the three. I'm kinda torn between the JP and PAL art. I think the PAL art fits the game the best, but the JP art looks cool enough to frame and put on a wall.

Re: Review: Warface - A Perfectly Competent Free-To-Play Shooter For Your Switch

Thaliard

@Link41x This was me. 7 seems high, especially for the ancient "rental" F2P model. It is a functional multiplayer military shooter for Switch for free, and I feel like that's the best thing you can say about it. It's as bland as sugar-free oatmeal, the shooting feels weirdly snappy and mechanical, the AI is awful, the F2P model is gross and outdated, and it's easily outclassed by military shooters made over 10 years ago.

Re: Looks Like Netflix's Resident Evil Series Won't Be Set In Raccoon City

Thaliard

@TechaNinja Seriously. Their Witcher adaptation is low budget garbage that takes dramatic unnecessary liberties with the source material, and their Locke and Key adaptation looks horrendous. I will still watch this Resident Evil adaptation like a fool and hope they've done better, but I doubt it. The Witcher series is doing way too well. :/
