Re: Review: New Super Mario Bros. Wii (Wii)

A well deserved review. My friends, family, and I got together and played it all day, it was really fun.

I also gotta say, the running and bumping into eachother and the half a second pauses aren't nearly as bad as other people claimed it to be. It just makes things more chaotic and fun!!

@ 12.

"Nintendo... I have lost all hope in you..."

I swear, you people think of more and more silly things to say about Nintendo in the comments sections of game websites.

So, the Virtual Console has a mediocre week, and what, you, "lose all hope" in Nintendo??
As if you were honestly going to run out to the store and buy a Wii Points card to get whatever good would've come out today anyways...

Wow, this will be my videogame highlight of '09!

Quick question for Nintendo Life though:

According to IGN's video preview, you can press the A button to get in a bubble and float around whenever. Is this a useful feature or does it just make the game plain easy?
Like, it would seem as if one could jump in a bubble right before falling to their demise, or even fly around until the other players reach the end of the levels.
How does this ability affect gameplay from your experience playing it?

Re: New Zelda Wii Trailer Rumored For October

I'm not going to get over-hyped about this, as I fear for another Twilight Princess siuation.

Not that TP wasn't a damn good game, I was just expecting the best game ever created, and, well, it wasn't exactly said best game ever created.

Re: iPhone more powerful than Wii?

TanookiMike

Wow, this created some buzz.

Y'know, I like playing games on the iPhone and all, but the frame rate is just too low compared to playing on the Wii, and even earlier consoles, up to the Nintendo 64. 30 fps as opposed to the superior 60.

A good, reasonable score. My problem with the game is it didn't have that same "magic" that Ocarina of Time always had associated with it, like when you first stepped onto Hyrule Field, and gasped a little in awe.

The whole Twilight Princess game was a little over-hyped.
