A well deserved review. My friends, family, and I got together and played it all day, it was really fun.
I also gotta say, the running and bumping into eachother and the half a second pauses aren't nearly as bad as other people claimed it to be. It just makes things more chaotic and fun!!
I swear, you people think of more and more silly things to say about Nintendo in the comments sections of game websites.
So, the Virtual Console has a mediocre week, and what, you, "lose all hope" in Nintendo?? As if you were honestly going to run out to the store and buy a Wii Points card to get whatever good would've come out today anyways...
According to IGN's video preview, you can press the A button to get in a bubble and float around whenever. Is this a useful feature or does it just make the game plain easy? Like, it would seem as if one could jump in a bubble right before falling to their demise, or even fly around until the other players reach the end of the levels. How does this ability affect gameplay from your experience playing it?
Y'know, I like playing games on the iPhone and all, but the frame rate is just too low compared to playing on the Wii, and even earlier consoles, up to the Nintendo 64. 30 fps as opposed to the superior 60.
A good, reasonable score. My problem with the game is it didn't have that same "magic" that Ocarina of Time always had associated with it, like when you first stepped onto Hyrule Field, and gasped a little in awe.
The whole Twilight Princess game was a little over-hyped.
Definately glad they're paying homage to Red and Blue with things like having Mt. Moon and Viridian Forest, they were the most memorable of the whole series.

Re: Zelda Reorchestrated's Ocarina of Time Album Cleaned Up and Ready to Go
Very old news but still awesome none the less.
I especially love their soundscapes.
Re: DS and Wii "Year's Worst Platforms"
That's because it's an averaged score, and DS and Wii got all the shovelware.
It doesn't mean there aren't good games for it.
Re: Naughty Nokia Boasts About Nintendo Games On N900
That's really stupid of them.
Re: 101 Minigolf World Coming to DSiWare
@Charlie the Unicorn

Re: Japanese Club Nintendo Members Get Game & Watch Goodness

Re: Review: New Super Mario Bros. Wii (Wii)
Trust me, it's actually pretty good to have.
At first, you get really pissed off about the bars, but then you realize how useful widescreen really is.

Re: First Impressions: New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Wow, this will be my videogame highlight of '09!
Quick question for Nintendo Life though:
According to IGN's video preview, you can press the A button to get in a bubble and float around whenever. Is this a useful feature or does it just make the game plain easy?

Re: New Zelda Wii Trailer Rumored For October
I'm not going to get over-hyped about this, as I fear for another Twilight Princess siuation.
Not that TP wasn't a damn good game, I was just expecting the best game ever created, and, well, it wasn't exactly said best game ever created.
Re: Wii Internet Channel Now Free!
Can somebody tell me, what if you gifted this game to someone else? Can the buyer still get one free?

Re: Nintendo Patents Inflatable Horseback Riding Peripheral
I was actually thinking something to do with riding Epona, but yeah, Yoshi's Safari would work too.
Re: iPhone more powerful than Wii?
Wow, this created some buzz.
Y'know, I like playing games on the iPhone and all, but the frame rate is just too low compared to playing on the Wii, and even earlier consoles, up to the Nintendo 64. 30 fps as opposed to the superior 60.
Re: First Video of myNotebook
Looks like it'll be packed with easter eggs to dig up.
Sounds good to me.
Re: Next Level Games: We Want to Make Punch Out!! 2
Expand on multiplayer. Add online play. Tag team fighting maybe? Additional fighters to play as, and balanced abilities would be awesome.
Re: Game Boy 20th Anniversary Special
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening!
It saved me during COUNTLESS family road trips!
Re: Nintendo Rep: Virtual Console Being Toned Down
Why not give WiiWare a chance now to thrive that it might never get again?
We'll have VC again very soon, and likely for a long time to come.
Re: Nnooo Planning New DSiWare Franchise
I wonder if he means for DSiWare, or an actual DSi exclusive release, like what was talked so much about prior to the DSi's launch.
Re: What Nintendo games do you want to see on the Virtual Console?
Oh good, I've got a few.
-Dr. Mario 64
-Excitebike 64
-Earthbound
-Starfox
-Mario Tennis
-Devil's World
-Mario Party
-Yoshi's Island
...And so on and so forth.
Oh, and a DSi VC would be nice too.

Nintendo's definately setting up for a Pikmin 3.
Re: Box Art: Metroid Prime Trilogy
LOL, I'll probably end up buying the game just based upon the kick awesome packaging alone.
Re: First Impressions: Melee! Pokemon Scramble
Definately glad they're paying homage to Red and Blue with things like having Mt. Moon and Viridian Forest, they were the most memorable of the whole series.
Definately buying this.
Re: Competitions: Twitter Joke Winner
@warioswoods: You still upset about that re-sizing thing? Didn't several other people do that as well though?
Regardless, congrats on an excellent joke!
