They're great developers who deeply care about their products; Torna has shown the potential that DLC has, it expanded on the already substantial story in meaningful ways. I wish them all the succes!
The game is absolutely gorgeous and even though I own the original I was this close to buying it, luckily I played the demo first ... And remembered how much of a better game the second installment was. Remake Explorers of Time/Darkness please.
I have to read a ton of material for uni, so I don't have a lot of time, but I'm already addicted to Rune Factory 4. So hopefully I can squeeze some hours in.
As per usual the transphobes are out in full force, hiding their hate behind tinly veiled comments like 'life style choice'. Nobody chooses to be queer, you are or you aren't.
I'm happy that this has become the norm in Animal Crossing! It doesn't feel right to be unrepresented in a game that supposed to be about you and your choices. I'm playing Rune Factory 4 at the moment, and really enjoying it, but the lack of gay romance options hinders the immersion for me.
I don't care for the graphics, the career mode is what I've been waiting for half my life. I played top spin 2 to death.
But the five hours I've played this have been so frustrating. Every time I'm at the cusp of winning a rally, the game stutters or freezes and I lose. I really want to love this game, but I just can't.
The power of Pokémon. Amazing after more than 20 years . Unfortunately they aren't the best games, but also not the disaster people make them out to be. Quite in line with the last two gens, but not close to the greatness of Platinum, HGSS, and BW(2).
This video sums up perfectly why people are just fed up with gamefreak. Every new gimmick always resorts to pandering to the crowd who liked gen 1 and haven't really bothered since then. There's is zero effort to try and please existing fans of the franchise, you know, the people who have been actually buying these games. I realise it must be smart from a financial point of view, but it's also very disheartening as a long time fan.
And before people come out with the "the game isn't even out and people are already complaining" — gamefreak has a habit of introducing things that are liked and then randomly ignoring them for generations. The VS Seeker, the Battle Frontier, the online system of gen 6: all never seen again while there's seemingly always time to highlight yet another kanto pokemon. How many Charizard forms are we going to get?
I don't see problems with games that fulfill fantasies - and that's all it is really. It might be pervy and sordid, but everybody has their fantasies that wouldn't pass irl.
I have a bigger problem with such games that try to be more than fantasies. The bits mentioned about the eating disorder and stuff, I feel like that is a very slippery slope because your sexual fantasies/voyeurism becomes something that is coded as a good deed.
Now if only fanservice existed for all sexualities, not just straight men, that'd be great. I think a lot of the problems come from the fact that all these games are catered to one particular group and gamers already often carry the name misogynist.
It's a long time since a game has hooked me like Fire Emblem, probably since Xenoblade 2 ... I've basically neglected all the books I wanted to read this holiday, and the end is not nearly in sight.
I'm on holiday but I made sure to buy FE, so hopefully I'll be able to play a few hours. If there's any time left, maybe I'll finish the story mode of MUA3.

Addicted to Rune Factory 4, so I'll be playing that. The ideal game to hold me over until Animal Crossing.
Might also try to finish Pokémon Shield, since I haven't yet.

Re: Nintendo Named And Shamed As Benefiting From The Use Of Chinese Forced Labour Camps
Awful. But our system of production and consumption demands cheap and forced labour so entirely unsurprising as well. Change is needed.

Pokémon Shield! Having a great time. So far the only big stain on the experience is the exp. share.

MUA3! Hoping to unlock more X- men soon. It's tons of fun. My main atm is Scarlet Witch.
Maybe I'll continue Sushi Strikers too. Super underrated game.
Re: Review: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order - Arcade Brawling Is Back, Baby
I've been playing it a few hours now, it's hectic but relaxing fun! Ideal for winding down after a busy day.

Currently playing Dream Daddy and having a blast. The writing is so funny.
Hopefully I'll have some time to play BOTW and Tales of Vesperia, but I'm kinda struggling with the combat of the latter.
