Re: Competition: Win A Set Of Third Editions Books, Including Zelda, Dark Souls And Final Fantasy

My favourite video game-related book is also the most creatively written video game manual ever.... Wario Land 4 on the GBA. Why, you ask? Because it's written by Wario himself of course! Wario narrates every single page, and he pulls no punches. Below is a small excerpt:

"After you've seen a bit of the demo, the Map Screen will appear. I should be standing at the entry passage. How do I look? Gorgeous, right? Get a hold of yourself! Just press the A button. Man, this game uses the A button a lot!!"

Wario is everything that Mario isn't...and we love him because of it. If you don't own the game yourself then you can check out the full copy on Nintendo's website (PDF format):

Re: Reggie Fils-Aime on Why the Wii U Was Misunderstood

When the Wii U was released in the UK, there was a TV advert showcasing what it could do. However the advert was taken off air very quickly because the UK Advertising Standards Authority agreed with customer complaints, whereby it stated that all games could be played on the Gamepad with Off-TV play.

Any other company would have responded by either editing the advert or putting out a new one....but nothing happened.

Now I'm not saying that this was the reason why the Wii U failed in the UK (because I think the name was more guilty of that) but it's little things like this that add up.

Edit: I've just found the article from Nintendo Life. It was actually one complaint that got the advert taken off air.

Re: Level-5 Trademark Filings in Europe Suggest Future Projects

Over here in Europe we still haven't seen the final instalment of the Inazuma Eleven GO series (released in Japan 3-years ago).

I feel bad saying that though because I know you guys in the US are still a few versions behind. My tip for you is to pick-up the first few that were released in Europe on the region free DS.

Re: Some Unlucky Fire Emblem Fates Customer Have Their Special Edition Pre-Orders Cancelled

@Bisylizzie I had the same card replacement problem last year just before the release of 'Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water'.

As soon as the Nintendo site is ready to charge your card it will notice a problem and then send you an automated email, giving you a link to change your payment method.

Fatal Frame had similar stock problems, so I acted pretty quickly as soon as that email arrived. So you may have to do the same for Fire Emblem (just in case).

Hope this helps.

The thing is I'm not even interested in the coin, the artbook, 3DS theme, poster, steelbook case, the hair of a unicorn and a full size replica of Marth's sword....

...I just want an option to buy the Revelation game on a cartridge, rather than going down the DLC route. We've all seen their plans to shutdown the DSi shop soon, and this will happen to the 3DS in 5-6 years time.

If it's possible to fit all three instalments on the same cartridge, then don't plonk it on a Special Edition that's only limited to a few physical copies.

Edit: I've just seen the prices on Ebay. Seriously some of them are more expensive than Panzer Dragoon Saga!
