Definitely going to get this ASAP. When they announced this I decided to finally try Sacred Stones for Ambassadors since I never touched it. Now I am engrossed in the game's story. I'm not really that good, though. lol
I ended up not buying it on other systems, so I'll definitely look into this. I messed around in the demo pulling off different shots and its hilarious.
@bezerker99 It's just more inconvenient than anything else. It takes like maybe 45 seconds to switch to Wii mode. I also have an issue like other people where if there is a disc in the WiiU when it loads Wii mode, it will say that the Wii's system data is corrupted. Then I turn it off and back on and it loads like normal and I start all over again.
How did it take 7 years to make retro city rampage when this game looks way better and was made in 2 years max? And both of them being made by one person.
Ordered mine back on Aug 22, hasn't shipped yet. Supposed to arrive by friday so I'll probably receive it next week. @allav866 I feel your pain, if I hadn't preordered it, there'd be no way I could afford it now.
@cornishlee Good point. I hope you can download the game for a discounted price. Then if they sold the pedometers individually, I'd be set. Not saying it'll happen, but it'd be cool.
@fluggy True, I guess ergonomically it would feel more comfortable to have a controller with arms rather than the wii remote. Regardless of whether you're using the analog stick or dpad.
I hope the people at Vigil games find good work, even if someone doesn't buy their studio. (Which sounds like Platinum is only interested in Darksiders IP). I really hope someone does buy their studio though.
@fluggy I don't know about most other people, but I wouldn't play New Super Mario Bros U with an analog stick. I guess if thats your thing then it would be helpful.
Since I bought the Deluxe WiiU, I'll just be using the money I earn back from downloading to gradually switch my NES and SNES VC games 5 at a time. (Or at least pick my favorites) The one thing I want to know is, since the game when I redownload it will be on the WiiU Menu. Will there still be one on the Wii Menu? Because I would hate to have to get as far as I am in Castlevania again (since I would assume the save data won't carry over since they are redoing the save feature)
@hypercoyote I completely agree. As a long time fan of the Metroid series myself, there were some complaints that people had that made sense, but I didn't mind myself. It isn't my favorite Metroid game but I liked that they tried something new.
Rebuying virtual console games for play on gamepad at a reduced price is the best thing that realistically could've happened. I'd rather just be able to play my old games on it at no cost, but $1 is not that bad of a deal to upgrade. It's better than paying full price again which I wouldn't have done.
I'm just glad that we (US) are getting Pandora's Tower. There are some other games that I would like, but I won't complain since the UK misses a lot more than us.
The reason I'm outraged by this is because who is at fault for children being "molested" by violent videogames is their parents.
Granted videogames can be fun and not violent, but some great games have been made that happen to be violent. Sure the game would still be fun without violence, but its my right to play them. I had to wait until I was old enough to buy M rated games myself because my parents would not buy them for me due to my younger brother wanting to play every videogame we got.
Parents have gotten more and more ignorant to these things over the years. Parents take their children to R rated movies. They also buy them whatever game they want so they will shut up. Working in retail I already understand that the majority of people are complete morons or have no idea about ratings systems for movies or videogames. There's my two cents.
How many times did he run for president? Because he failed that many times. In my mind its good to get your opinion out there but once it goes on for so long you're considered an idiot.
I already bought it, but yay I can use my Pro Controller soon! The Classic Controller Pro is fine but I'd like thumbsticks that are easier to aim in a side-scroller. Circles > Octagons.
That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. Then again in the legal system burglars can sue if they get hurt in your house whilst stealing so whatever.
I'm only an hour or two into it but this game is by far my favorite lego game. I haven't played any lego games recently other than some of Star Wars 3. Playing this game brings me back to playing lego 1 and 2 on the gamecube (level layout wise).
I really like how the hub world is basically Middle Earth. You can go from Hobbiton to Bree (that's as far as I am), and beyond exploring some areas in between for treasures. There seems to be alot to do other than just replaying levels which was the case with the older games. How closely the game follows the movies is awesome. Especially the voice acting which was taken directly from the films along with the music. I'm 21 and I'm still enjoying this game because its like watching the movies and there's so much to do.
I'm also impressed by how many different things they've done with this game, such as there is a battle where the camera goes to first person while you are fighting. I also ran into a section of a level where there's a chase sequence where you are running having to avoid obstacles, it was pretty funny.
If Lego City Undercover is anything like this then I'll be picking that up as well when it comes out.
@Pikachupwnage Wow, that is the first time that I completely forget a pretty big aspect of a videogame. I never really played it online so I didn't even think about it. I take that back then, its worth it.
Was interested in getting this anyway, but that coop modes sounds different. It might be fun to mess around in at least. March 19th is going to be an expensive day.
@WaveBoy it was fun for me since I bought 2 copies to play with my younger brother, but if you're playing by yourself I wouldn't recommend it. It's basically just mercenaries maps and solo gets boring.
There was a time when I didn't care for JRPGs because they didn't appeal to me. When I heard about Operation Rainfall I figured I'd give it a look, and I'm so glad I did because I really enjoyed Xenoblade Chronicles and The Last Story. I'm excited I'll finally be able to try Pandora's Tower, since my hopes of being able to play this were gone months ago.
I don't really mind. I have bought a few WiiVC games on my WiiU. I have also bought some retail/download games from the eshop. So yeah, not getting points on purchases from Wii kinda sucks, but I've already gotten like 15 bucks back from the digital promotion on WiiU. So I really can't complain.
I hope this happens. I haven't gotten around to playing Bayonetta on anything else and playing the original on the WiiU before the sequel would blow my mind. And a project that includes SEGA and Nintendo would have to be awesome.
@FiveDigitLP Thanks for the link. That just shows that publicizing that there are major problems with software sales is kind of misleading. Granted that does show that there ARE problems with game sales, just more towards people buying them at retail stores for their games.
Who can blame them either? How many times do you hear "Would you like to buy our 1 year in-store warranty for 5 bucks?" It's just extra expense on top of games that themselves are not all too cheap.
Are these numbers including eshop downloads as well? I have a few friends with a WiiU and unlike me, they downloaded all of the games that they bought for it.
If downloads are included then my opinion would be yes, the games' price would probably be the biggest factor.
I've also heard from numerous people that "the WiiU has yet to receive a title that warrants purchase" since there aren't many games announced until later.(ie. Zelda, Metroid, Smash Bros) That's not how I feel but maybe others do?
I may not get it out of sheer spite, mainly due to Wii getting it very last. At this point we might not get it until after EU gets it for PS3 and Vita(Jan.16) even though everywhere else its already out for Xbox. I so wanted to buy this when it came out for PS3 and PC at the beginning of October. I feel Nintendo fans, got the short end of the stick and I don't much care for that:(
I've played the all the games, and actually thought about buying this one for WiiU. I wish that the trilogy would make its way to WiiU because buying the last one doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Mainly due to the first being my favorite one, and personally I thought the second one was very important to the canon of the trilogy. (I understand you can go through the first two in graphic novel format but its not the same)
Download for me since my brother won't play it, so there's no need to be able to share. Also I'm too lazy to go preorder it now so I'll just reserve myself a copy by using the eshop!
I'm gonna buy it when it comes out. I just hope by January they mean January 3rd. lol
EDIT: Probably won't buy it, makes me too mad just thinking how every other system in EU region is getting it before Wii ANYWHERE. I really had high hopes for this, but whatever. I'll keep my money.
Ill play it on my Wiiu using the Wii App but I refuse to get a game on xbox pc or ps3 that clearly was meant to be played with a Dpad.
Xbox = trash dpad
PS3 = okey just not used to it
PC = dont have decent gamepad
Wii = ideal layout
I preordered on the first day that preorder was available, and waited in front of the store an hour before they opened. At the time I felt a little silly but I'm glad at this point that I did.
