Your right, downloading these games aren't hard. Problem is, they aren't yet available for some of us in the States for whatever reason. I checked a few hours ago and they were still "coming soon". There was no download button, period :/
More TP hate... I can understand if it's not your favorite in the franchise but you should at least recognize that it is a pretty solid adventure game.
@warioswoods: I'd take MM over OoT as well (by a hair). You just can't beat the genius set up. More time travel = better
Ya... I'm pretty sure there is no streetpass involved here. Just spotpass and wireless connectivity with friends. I don't think there is any need to live in a big city or have a lot of play coins to fill up your pokedex. Sounds to me like you just need a wireless internet connection and maybe some friends
@Faron: That is what everyone says but I disagree. Yes, tilting the device ruins the 3D effect. HOWEVER, there is a big difference between tilting and moving. I can play Face Raiders just fine in 3D because while I'm moving the DS, it stays lined up with my face. Now tilting Super Monkey Ball around is a different story
Hmmm... every "confused" person here has an American flag by their name. Hmmmmmmmm.... I believe the first 3 words in this news article are worth looking at before taking action.
One of my favorite games of all time (best on SNES). If it's a simple port with 3D thrown in, I don't want it. We got something like that on GBA already anyway. I only want it if it's going to be a complete remake like OoT 3DS. Complete with with all new visuals and extra stuff. Make it happen Nintendo.
By the way its unfortunate the interesting chain couldn't keep going
I'm not expecting them to announce a new console till next year. I think this E3 is going to be more focused on the 3DS and whatever life they can squeeze out of the Wii.
I have a few more things to add. These are things taken from the review that I'm sure 9/10 gamers would disagree with.
"the game succumbs to the disease of 'lazy sequelitis'"
I just find it hilarious that this was brought up because its "too similar" to previous outings. Yet, SMG2 is more similar to the first Super Mario Galaxy by far and that got a 10. Pokemon anyone? Those are even more lazy sequels that scored higher. On a side note, lack of side quests and lack of AI to talk to is excusable with a 50+ hour epic adventure.
"but there was a time when a new Zelda release could be called the greatest game of its generation. Despite an incredibly long development time, Twilight Princess fails to meet those high expectations."
So it gets an 8 because its not the best game of its generation? This statement really showed off the bias this reviewer has toward the game. I swear if this game didn't have the zelda tag or link, NL would have probably given it a 10.
@Alex_Neuse: Thanks for making these games. I have beaten all of them and loved every second of it. I show these games off to all my friends. Please make an awesome and unique 3DS game!
@22: Nope, that is when you go through the wall and enter the pipe before the numbers show up. Notice how he waits for the number 4 to pop up before going down.
I'd like to add that I have beaten every Bit Trip game (even got all the gold on Runner not including bonus levels) And I think Fate was the easiest one. I'm honestly really hoping that Flux is more challenging then Beat was. For once, I'd like them to make a game that I can't complete
Here is how I rank them... BT: Runner BT: Beat BT: Fate BT: Core BT: Void All of them are good but void is my least favorite. I was hoping for something totally new and unique with flux but a direct sequel to Beat will do.
@turtlelink: I've played through half the game. Unfortunately all the familiar tunes I have heard have only been from the original Donkey Kong Country. I was really hoping to hear some of my favorites from DKC 2...
@billy-beauts: I guess I am the complete opposite as you. I can't see why anyone wouldn't like the original SNES classics. To each his own.
"and yes, Retro Studios did put in a remixed version of the incredible Aquatic Ambiance from the original Donkey Kong Country, heard in a water level when you're riding on the back of giant whales."
This was taken from IGN. Apparently there aren't any water levels but that doesn't mean the epic music is out
Wow... what the ****!? Too similar? I guess Super Mario Galaxy 2 should have gotten an 8 as well then, right? I agree with some of the above posters, this needs a re-review almost as much as I need a 3DS. I mean seriously... look at all the other 8's nintendo life has rewarded. Is this game really comparable to Boom Blox, Blast Works, and De Blob? I usually agree with your reviews but I'm thinking someone might have been high or under the influence while writing this review. At the very least, lower most of your other 8's! Just because you have such high expectations for a game, doesn't mean you need to lower the score just because it didn't meet your expectations.

Re: NES Ambassador Games for North America Available Now
I guess there is the possibility that they realized they released them too early and took them down...
Re: NES Ambassador Games for North America Available Now
Not here on the West coast either. I live in California and the ambassador certificate and games are "coming soon". Has to be the east coast?
Re: First Impressions: Rayman Origins (Wii)
I'll be picking this up on 360.
Re: Fox Flies Into a New Trailer for Star Fox 64 3D
@Graph: maybe because some of us have friends lol jk
Re: GameCube to See New Downloadable Life on Wii U
Paper Mario Thousand Year Door... nuff said
Re: Nintendo Download: 30th June 2011 (North America)
Strange... I live in CA where sales tax is high. Yet, I haven't payed a dime for sales tax on 3DS downloads.
Re: Cave Story 3D Hit with Another Delay
@SoulSilverIV: That is actually not a date fail. Most people in the US use the formula Month/Day/Year.
Re: Wii U Striking Balance Between Performance and Price
I think they are shooting for a $299 price point.
Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (3DS)
@golephish: That's what I am doing right now, almost done too! Btw, if you live in the US like me, it doesn't come out till sunday unfortunately.
Re: Iwata: "We've Finally Reached the Digital Sales Starting Line"
@3: The Wiiware store wasn't very "window shopper" friendly. The DSiware store just sucked lol

Re: Sony President Thinks 3DS is Just an Updated DS
Until Nintendo ACTUALLY starts releasing some worthwhile games, this guy speaks the truth; unfortunately....
I'll bet you anything that he secretly owns a 3DS and he is not happy with the game line up either

Re: First BIT.TRIP SAGA Screens Incoming
@Bigrat: I'm pretty sure you can get most of the Bit.Trip games in demo form on Wiiware. Its free so you might as well try them out
Re: This NES Pad is the Biggest Game Controller in the World
I believe "NEStalgia" is an actual online MMORPG.
Re: Rumour: Metal Gear Solid to Sneak Onto 3DS in November
Ok, I got an old PS2 sitting around. I'll grab MGS1 and 2 before I play this one.
Re: Rumour: Metal Gear Solid to Sneak Onto 3DS in November
I haven't played the Metal Gear Solid games. Will I be able to enjoy this without having played the first 2?
Re: Nintendo Changes Club Nintendo Privacy Policy
@theblackdragon: I was wondering how so many people could miss that.

Re: Features: The Characters of MotoHeroz
After playing Trials HD, I have no doubt in my mind that this game is going to be any less then awesome.

Re: New Kirby Game Details Gathered, Now Absorb Them
Wait a minute... isn't there supposed to be a traditional kirby game coming to the Wii this year?
Re: Rumour: Nintendo May Cut Wii Price to $150 Next Month
I'm not expecting them to announce a new console till next year. I think this E3 is going to be more focused on the 3DS and whatever life they can squeeze out of the Wii.
Re: Review: Trollboarder (DSiWare)
"It would be more fun to snowboard down Everest while dressed in an oversized troll outfit than play this game."
But playing this would be the next best thing right?
Re: Nintendo Refutes Claims of Widespread 3DS Headaches
@timp29: I experienced some minor discomfort after about an hour of straight playing with 3D on full blast.
But, instead of complaining to Nintendo, I simply turned the 3D slider down. Amazing how some people can solve problems so much easier then others can
Re: Nintendo Refutes Claims of Widespread 3DS Headaches
@JesusSaves: You don't have a 3DS do you?
Re: Happy Two-Year "Nintendo Life" Anniversary
@Bass: I was here during the VC-Archive days, and I remember the excitement of monday morning
Here is hoping I get that same excitement with the 3DS virtual shop.
Re: Nintendo Responds to 3DS Black Screen Error
happened to me once after just a few hours of play. And yes, it was after the update

Re: Nintendo Download: 14th March 2011 (North America)
@Swerd_Murd: Clearly you have never played endless survival.
Re: Features: The History of BIT.TRIP, Part 2
1. Runner
2. Beat
3. Flux
4. Core
5. Fate
6. Void

Re: Nintendo Download: 28th February 2011 (North America)
@32: There is an alternate ending?
Re: Nintendo Download: 28th February 2011 (North America)
As of 20 minutes ago. I have now completed all six Bit.Trip games

@22: Nope, that is when you go through the wall and enter the pipe before the numbers show up. Notice how he waits for the number 4 to pop up before going down.
Re: Super Mario Galaxy 2 up for BAFTA Game of the Year
If Super Mario Galaxy wasn't on there, I'd probably vote for Limbo (Such an epic game). And if that wasn't there I'd pick Reach.
Re: Donkey Kong Country Returns Sells Over 4 Million in a Month
Besides the fact that they make you use motion controls and did not include Classic Controller support, this is a perfect game.
PS: Boss music was a little disappointing IMO

Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda (NES)
It seems like Nintendo Life really seems to underrate the Zelda games. This is easily the best NES game out there.
Re: Piracy Not to Blame for Poor Software Sales, Says Iwata
I've got 7/12 of the games shown in the picture. Anybody top that?

Re: Review: Super Mario 64 DS (DS)
Controls weren't great but they weren't that bad either. I would have gone with 9/10.
Re: Rumour: EarthBound Not Coming to Virtual Console
How about a mother 4 or some remakes? Most nintendo fans don't even know Ness outside of Super Smash Bros. Lets change that!
